Chauncey Meeks-Owens is an American actor born in South Carolina and raised between New York City and Pennsylvania who is based in Amsterdam. He is a native English speaker and is learning both German and Dutch.
As a classically trained actor, Chauncey performed in plays from Shakespeare to Mamet while also lending his talents to films screened at international festivals in Italy, England as well as Nigeria and the USA. He was most featured in short films that have screened at the London Arthouse Film Festival in London (2019), The Adirondack Film Festival ("Best Drama" nomination 2020) and the 10th Ca' Foscari Short Film Festival in Venice (finalist in the competition, 2020) as well as the Realtime international film festival in Nigeria(semi finalist, 2020) as well as the 48hr Rotterdam Film Festival. (2023) He has also written and performed monologues for The Orange Theatre Company affiliate "The Monologue Podcast" in Amsterdam (2022) Chauncey is interested in working in dramas, fantasy as well as comedies in the US, UK, Dutch and Canadian
markets.
