D'Angelo and Amanda have been crowned the winners of the first season of Live To Dance. The young dancers, aged ten and eleven, scooped the $$500,000 prize during Wednesday night's season finale of the CBS dance competition. "This feels great!" said Amanda, while D'Angelo added: "I'm so excited and I just want to thank my mom and dad for supporting us. Now I'm going to go to Disney World!" Kendall Glover finished runner-up, while White Tree Fine Art scooped third place. Twitch, The Vibe and Dance Town Chaos were eliminated earlier in the episode. Paula had become tearful before the final result was announced, telling the dancers that she had never worked so hard on a project and really appreciated their ability. Aaah! It’s the finals of “Live to Dance”! Someone’s life will be Forever Changed! Okay, I get it, someone’s going to get some money. And half of it will go to taxes. And once they divide it among everyone in the act (assuming the winner isn’t Kendall Glover, the one solo dancer), then get a new car and a sofa and maybe a nice vacation, that will take care of the rest of it. Especially if the Vibe, the troupe of 38 dancers, wins. They may just want to leave their checks at the studio. Full recap of Wednesday's (Feb....

All six finalists on 'Live to Dance' (Wed., 8Pm Et on CBS) performed together for the first time in the season finale -- showing off their skills through a routine choreographed by Paula Abdul. Then the top three acts that America favored each danced once more: D'Angelo and Amanda, White Tree Fine Art and Kendall Glover.
But there could be just one winner of $500,000. Abdul got choked up before the champion act was revealed. After the jump, check out who won and the first thing that will be done with the prize money.

Finally, the season finale of Live to Dance, and it all came down to the kids, with D’Angelo & Amanda taking the top prize as America’s Best Dance Act. The highlight of the show was the opening number, a rousing ensemble piece featuring all 6 finalists. Brilliantly choreographed by Paula Abdul to a medley of songs with aptly, the word “dance” in the title. The only thing missing was Paula herself, I was so hoping to see her dance.
After a bunch of time filling contestant video packages, the reveal of the Top 3, in no particular order just yet: White Tree Fine Art, D’Angelo & Amanda, and Kendall Glover. A couple of tearful moments interjected into the show: Travis ruefully acknowledges a past mistake, having given earlier contestant Austin Acevedo a red star. Next, semi-finalist Chi Town Breakers, once a homeless family, was gifted with a Chrysler Town & Country mini-van.

Who won the inaugural "Live to Dance" season and a prize of $500,000? Warning: spoilers ahead.
After eliminating the three big groups Twitch, The Vibe and Dance Town Chaos right at the top of the hour, the Top 3 is revealed to be D'Angelo & Amanda, the preteen ballroom dancers from Miami, White Tree Fine Art, the married couple ballet dancers, and Kendall Glover, the soloist 11-year-old from Arizona.
Before the winners are announced, the Chi-Town Best Breakers get a brand-new Chrysler Town and Country for their family, the little buggers and their parents are just elated. Aww, that's nice.
They finally bring the Top 3 acts out and the first act eliminated is White Tree Fine Art, so interestingly it comes down to some young kids. After a couple more video packages and some Paula word salad about how sweet it all is and thanking the teachers and mentors (oh Paula, we miss...

Kendall Glover has secured the final place in the Live To Dance finale. The 11-year-old learned that America had selected her to progress to next week's live finale during Wednesday night's edition of the CBS competition. "I feel so excited because I just want to make my family so happy," she said. The Vibe, D'Angelo and Amanda, White Tree Fine Art, Dance Town Chaos and Twitch were previously announced as finalists. The winning act will receive a prize of $$500,000 and the title of 'Best Dance Act In America'. "I think America has their job cut out for them," said Paula Abdul at the top of the show. "We have six finalists... all diverse, with vast age differences... you will be changing one of these acts' lives so keep voting for the one that inspires you." Each of the final six acts performed once more during the (more)...

On tonight’s Live to Dance we watched 6 acts compete for the last time in their quest to win the title of “best dance act in America” and $500,000 in prize money next week. America’s vote from last week was revealed to be Kendall Glover, the only soloist in the competition. This was my big problem from last week and the show just smoothly glazed over it. Host Andrew Greenberg called Kendall with the news some time after last week’s show. We can only assume he called her the morning after so that she had as much time to rehearse as the other five acts. And amazingly, in our information age, this was kept a pretty good secret all week!
Tonight’s outcome hinges only on America’s votes, so even though we have the experts’ commentary and awarding of gold or red stars, this does not technically count; well,...

Dance Town Chaos and Twitch have secured their places in the Live To Dance final. The two acts discovered they were progressing to next week's closing episode on Wednesday night. They will join previously announced finalists The Vibe, D'Angelo and Amanda, and White Tree Fine Art. Dance Town Chaos were voted through to the final by the judges, while America was told to vote between Jill & Jacob, Roosevelt Anderson, Tap Sounds Underground, Shore Thing and Kendall Glover for the final spot. Here's what the judges said about each of Wednesday's acts: Dance Town Chaos The all-male dance troupe deliver a sultry and hypnotic routine to 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' which wows all three judges. "That was honestly breathtaking," says Paula. "I think what you are doing is so important, not just to this show but to (more)...

The last six semifinal acts performed on 'Live to Dance' (Wed., 8Pm Et on CBS) for a spot in the finals. The competitors included the young Kendall Glover, a tap-dancing duo, a theatrical tumbling troupe called Shore Thing and Dance Town Chaos, a group of 12 guys who danced to Seal's 'It's a Man's World.'
Two acts received the highest scores possible, but only one could move forward to the finals. The judges ("experts") chose Dance Town Chaos. One of the dancers said, "We're so thankful to all the experts for everything ... We're extremely pumped, and we're ready to go to the finals!"
One spot in the finals still remains. It's up to America to choose who gets it. Which of the last five acts will receive your vote?

On tonight’s Live to Dance, the last 6 of the semi-finalists competed for a spot in the finals which begin next week. I’m seriously scratching my head here, as yet another curve ball was pitched at us. While last week they said only one act would move through, in fact the process tonight was the same as before: One act moved through by the experts, and one act to be voted through by America. Here I thought I had poor math skills, but they couldn’t even follow their own math! This does present complications for next week’s finals, and more on that later.
First up was the result of America’s votes from last week, and the winner was Twitch, the group of kids whose dance I just didn’t understand, but apparently America gets it. On to the breakdown of tonight’s performances:
Dance Town Chaos (Miami,...
