Amy Gravino
Diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome (a form of Autism) at age 10,
Gravino is a certified college coach for individuals with Asperger's
syndrome. She attended graduate school at Caldwell College in Caldwell,
New Jersey, where she earned her Masters degree in Applied Behavior
Analysis (2009). She has been writing since the age of 10, and is
presently working on "The Naughty Autie," a dating and sexuality book
for young adults and adults on the spectrum. She has been featured in
the Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation annual newsletter, and her article,
"I Can Write, I Can Cook: Asperger's Syndrome, Prenatal Testing, and
the Journey to Existence" was published in the Spring 2009 issue of
Autism Spectrum Quarterly. She has been speaking publicly at autism
conferences all over the country since age 14, and uses her degree to
work as an Asperger's syndrome college coach, working with faculty and
students alike to help the students thrive and succeed both
academically and personally in a college setting.
