In the world of concept design and world building, David Levy is kind of a big deal having worked on everything from Tron: Legacy to Prometheus but since 2011, the artist has also been working on a little side project: a live action short film titled Plug.
It's been all quiet on the project for a number of years until recently when the full 16 minute short appeared online and as was obvious from our previous coverage, it certainly delivers on the promise of post apocalyptic cyberpunk action.

I've got an incredibly awesome sci-fi short film called "Plug" that you've got to take the time to watch. The movie was directed by David Levy, and it follows a spunky girl named Leila who embarks on an adventure to find other life forms in the world that she lives in. Her survival is put in jeopardy when she does.
Levy is a designer and concept artist who has worked on films such as Tron: Legacy, Prometheus, Ender's Game, Tomorrowland, and Avatar 2. You can definitely see he brought his A-game talents to this short film, and as you'll see it turned out spectacular.
Levy sent us the short and explained that it's "a return to 1970's classics like Star Wars and Mad Max with a gritty universe, an Asimov vibe in the storyline and made from mostly live props and real life settings." Here's the synopsis that was released with...

Alloy Entertainment is no stranger to the novel-turned-television-show, having put out Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, and Pretty Little Liars, all shows based on The New York Times bestselling series that are also published by Alloy. Private is simply the next in a long line of shows based on books, with one major difference: it’s a web series. While the DVD box calls Private a “movie about romance, privilege and murder,” it began as 20 webisodes, each about 4 to 6 minutes in length. However, the part about romance, privilege and murder is spot on. Reed Brennan (played by Kelsey Sander) leaves her small town life behind as she begins her first semester at Easton Academy, a prestigious boarding school in New England. She’s placed in Billings Hall, the best dorm on campus, and manages to snag herself a hot new boyfriend, Thomas (Brant Daugherty).
