The latest TV series based on a DC/Vertigo property to be granted a home video release is that of Lucifer, which has already won over audiences with its devilish charm and intriguing mysteries. On August 23, you can add the first season to your collection, but there’s a catch: WB has elected to go the same route they have with the iZombie home video releases and bring Lucifer to major retailers via DVD only. If you wish to buy the show on Blu-Ray, you will have to do so through your online retailer of choice.
You can check out the full press release below, which includes a detailed synopsis, a full rundown of featurettes and episodes included and specs. We also have the cover art for both formats for your viewing pleasure.

At ABC‘s upfront, there were a few things that the network wanted to make sure you knew. 1) They are really impressed with the idea that people are going to watch Rebel Wilson do just about anything, and 2) There isn’t anything they’re happier about than bringing you more episodes of television created by Shonda Rhimes.
On these notes, the network would love for you to know that more Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal are coming your way. These, ABC would like to impress upon you (as advertisers) are really good shows. Because… hellllooo… so many people watch them that we’re bringing them back. But wait, don’t think that you’re as excited as you can get yet, because if those are your favorite shows, then we have a new one for you to fall in love with, Betrayal.
Also on the agenda, and actually looking like they might be interesting,...

For the past two installments of The Amazing Race, The Televerse podcast has run a Bragging Rights pool where participants pick the team they predict will win the whole shebang as well as weekly picks for who will get eliminated. Listener Mario in Philly won the first time, edging out SoS Amazing Race recapper Dan in the final week and last time, Televerse cohost and SoS editor Simon Howell squeaked out the win over SoS NCIS reviewer Amanda (after dominating throughout the rest of the season).
Anyone can play and the more the merrier, so email the Televerse (theteleverse@gmail.com) to join in on the fun! Then take a look at the video below and decide on your overall pick to win The Amazing Race 22.
The new season starts up this Sunday, February 17th, but new players can join the pool at any time, even weeks into this season’s run.

Will Mad Men or Downton Abbey own the night? Will Jimmy Kimmel make us laugh or cry as host? Will network television win a single award?
It's Emmy time again, folks, with ABC hosting the annual celebration and Dan Forcella live-blogging it for TV Fanatic. Join in the fun below, reading through his take on the ceremony and jumping in with your own in the Comments section.
Ready? Let's do this...
7:10 - Let's get started early with some red carpet footage. I'll be flipping back and forth between ABC and E!
7:21 - Christina Hendricks' husband's reaction to Ryan Seacrest asking her about Joan and Don Draper getting it on was priceless.
7:24 - Sofia Vergara is speaking to Chris Harrison on ABC. She is slightly attractive. That dress is only helping her cause.
7:30 - Claire Danes is preggers? Will that help Carrie Mathison save the day on season two of Homeland?...

At its core, The Amazing Race is about two main principles: completing challenges and finding your way to the challenges. The best teams are adept at both and the ones that go home are often deficient in one, if not each. This week deficiencies with directions cost one team the race.
The teams started the leg departing from Turin, Italy with instructions to make their way to Bavaria, Germany by way of Ehwald, Austria. Art and Jj were over 2.5 hours ahead of the other seven teams by virtue of their fast forward in the previous leg. Mark and Bopper, last in the previous leg, were nearly nine hours behind them.
In the past few seasons The Amazing Race has dispensed with telling us when a team got to the Pit Stop in the previous leg and how that would equal their corresponding departure time that leg. With many seemingly dubious departure times of 4:37 a.

It can be difficult at times to be a reality TV show fan. The shows usually have total jerks on them, the people that you are rooting for always get eliminated first and you have to listen to at least half the contestants explain that they aren’t there to make friends.
But sometimes, the gods of reality TV smile down and last night on the premiere episode of Expedition Impossible was one of those nights. The awful girls who seemed like terrible sports and horrible teammates were the first ones to get eliminated, which is always a relief. Team Fab 3, who I am guessing several people here are rooting for, did a great job, coming in second place after the first leg and showing their strength in both the physical and the mental challenges.
Plus, there were a bunch of compelling teams that look like they will be interesting...

Our top moments of the week:
11. Most Passive-Aggressive Duo: After completing the frog-in-a-mud-pit Detour on The Amazing Race in what can only be described as adult diapers, Kent marvels at how cold it was in the pit -- not to mention, the fact that his goth makeup held up. "Were you cold?" he asks gal pal Vyxsin. She responds: "No, because I was working really hard." Oh, snap!
10. Most Outrageous Flirting: On Bethenny Ever After, the newlywed/new mom shamelessly flirts with Dan, a delish Rachael Ray Show producer — or as Bethenny calls him, "a tall, cute glass of...

Here is Sean Furfaro 's recap of The Amazing Race, Episode 3.
In last week’s Amazing Race recap, I commented on the ridiculous kangaroo outfits the teams had to wear, and said “I'm sure that Kisha & Jen, Luke & Margie, and Jaime & Cara all had no problem with them, because at least they weren't running around St. Petersburg in their underwear in the winter like last time.”
Remember when Tar went through that phase, where seemingly every other challenge had teams stripping down to their skivvies for Detours and Roadblocks? From winter jogging, to playing giant golf in the wind, to the incredibly awkward “SaunaBuss” (remember That one?), to the Estonian mud volleyball…it seemed like Bertram van Munster just wanted the teams stripping down all season long?
On a side note, that mud volleyball challenge in Estonia will forever remain one of my favourites of all time. Remember how Sam...

To Spartacus Or Not To Spartacus? That Is The Question!
One of the trickier, and more challenging, aspects of my job as editor of AfterElton.com is keeping the staff shackled deciding how much to cover a new show with gay or bisexual content, or when an existing show adds a gay or bisexual character. What's tricky about that exactly? Well, if you have to ask, clearly you didn't watch the Spartacus prequel, Gods of the Arena, which wrapped up last week.
If you had, you'd know I made a pretty big deal out of the fact that the prequel was going to give gay gladiator Barca (Antonio Te Maioha) a new love interest named Auctus. Or that after interviewing Spartacus co-creator Steven DeKnight, we decreed that Gods of the Arena might be gayer than the original and that there was a steamy gay sex scene you wouldn't want to miss.

Here is Sean Furfaro's recap of The Amazing Race, Episode 10.
With Chad and Stephanie being eliminated last week, the ‘domineering boyfriend count’ was cut by 33%, as the final four teams headed to Hong Kong for a predictable non-elimination leg. Would Jill and Thomas be able to maintain their huge lead on the other teams, or would there be another airport equalizer? Why is Brook dancing like a fool? And who’s puking over sushi?
My Random Thoughts:
- I had wondered for the past couple of seasons about the off-leg rest periods, and what happens to the teams. In the past, Phil always methodically told us that they had “a mandatory 12-hour rest period that allows the teams to eat, sleep, and mingle”, but there has been no mention of that for a couple of seasons now, just the times that the teams depart the Pit Stop. Tonight, we heard...

Since this is my first post on Spoiler TV, let me take a minute to give you some background. My name is Sean Furfaro and I've been writing a blog for just over 2 years. It's called Sean's Random Thoughts, and some of you may recognize that name from the Lost recaps I did during the sixth season, which were featured on DarkUFO. I've also been recapping reality shows for the past few seasons, and this is the first one to appear here on Spoiler TV. I am presently recapping the current seasons of Survivor and The Amazing Race, and my recaps will be up within 30 minutes of when the show finishes airing on the East Coast. I hope you enjoy them. (Feel free to head to the site to catch up on the recaps for the first 7 episodes of this season.)

To Full Frontal Or To Not Full Frontal
When I saw the first headline trumpeting news about Justin Long's inadvertent full frontal nude scene in his upcoming movie Going the Distance, I knew how the story would end before I even started it: namely, that particular scene would not end up in the movie. Americans as a whole are still supposedly way too squeamish to actually be confronted with a guy's junk onscreen, especially in a romantic comedy like Going the Distance.
Justin Long
Which doesn't make sense given that Nanette Burstein, Gtd's director, was supposedly so taken with Christina Applegate's shocked reaction to Justin's junk that she filmed the scene that way ten more times before eventually deciding not to use it. Or someone decided she shouldn't use it. Btw, imagine if this were a gay director who did that. Tongues would be wagging even though...

Last week, GLAAD released its 4th annual Network Responsibility Index. The purpose of the report is to evaluate Glbt representation on television by trying to assign a quantitative number to Glbt representation on primetime television for the five major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox, NBC) and the top ten cable networks (MTV, ABC Family, TNT, Showtime, Lifetime, FX, HBO, USA, A&E, TBS).
For an explanation of how GLAAD defines their methodology, please read our post Monday on GLAAD’s rating for The CW. Our look at Fox’s representation was improved while ABC continued to have a stellar record. NBC put in the effort on Glbt characters.
Today we look at the network of Norman Lear, who built shows around characters like Archie Bunker to call out racism, homophobia, and women’s rights. Those days are behind CBS.

Talk about warts and all!
The good thing about reality TV is that it’s allowed viewers to see real-life gay and bisexual men in “real” situations. The bad thing about reality TV is that it’s allowed viewers to see real-life gay and bisexual mean in “real” situations.
Not really. We actually think it’s terrific that reality television has allowed viewers to see a much, much more diverse range of gay and bisexual men – racial and otherwise – than they ever see on scripted television.
And some of the most interesting things viewers have seen have been the relationships between two gay or bi men, whether they’re a couple, brothers, or just “frenemies.”
The bickering! The back-stabbing! At first glance, you might cringe and think, “Did they really have to show that? What will people think?”

I'll admit, I didn't expect Dan and Jordan to be winners of The Amazing Race. You've seen me talk about it throughout the past season: they've had a slow start, and I've always written them off. But looking back, their head was in the game, and it did pay off: after a lucky break in Singapore, and a smart (if not controversial) move in Shanghai, they defied the odds and won the million dollars.
And that means we had a lot to talk about. It may have taken a while, but it was worth it. The brothers and I discussed why they almost joined season 15 instead, why they decided to stay away from conflict, and of course, that move in Shanghai.

Team Oakdale has taken home the crown for three weeks running so we thought we'd have them sit out this Battle of the Network Gays to allow someone else a chance at winning. Check out this week's nominees and vote....
Modern Family's Mitchell & Cameron
Why? For this week befriending a Tanzanian warlord and sending him their cast-off "Frankie Say Relax" and "Hillary 2008" t-shirts. Also, for that sweet scene by the pool where Cam teaches Mitchell how to relax and simply experience happiness. So sweet. Now if they'd just kiss every once in awhile!
Nurse Jackie's John Decker
Why? Harvey Fierstein hits it out of the park playing a man who refuses to leave his dying husband's side and further, demands of everyone that his partner's dignity and humanity be respected. I wouldn't be surprised if Fierstein nabs an Emmy for this performance.

Consider It The Condensed Version Of Bgwe!
I've been editing AfterElton.com for nearly five years now and I have to say this has been one of the wildest weeks I've had in a long time, if not ever.
What do you mean this doesn't look like my avatar picture? Try squinting a little. More. More. A little More. Oh, **#% you!
It kicked off Sunday morning when I did a post about Betty White's hosting of Saturday Night Live, and especially about the Scared Straight sketch.
Sunday night not only saw Jordan and Dan Pious winning The Amazing Race, but an episode of The Family Guy that had emails flying in and comments being posted on the site before it had even aired on the west coast. When I realized it was the "Quagmire's Dad" episode, I remembered Seth MacFarlane had mentioned it to me when I interviewed him last January.

When I realized it was the "Quagmire's Dad" episode, I remembered Seth MacFarlane had mentioned it to me when I interviewed him last January.

It's a no-brainer: cowboys Jet and Cord are probably the biggest fan favorites on The Amazing Race by far. They're fun to watch, they're quite good at the race, and they remain down to earth in spite of being in the front of the pack for most of the race. No wonder most of us were rooting for them to win. Even if they ended up in second place, we all feel they're winners.
I caught up with the cowboys early this week, and despite the interview's short length, you can feel how close they are as brothers. We talked about their almost-elimination, their take on Dan and Jordan's game-changing move, and their hometown with one yellow light.

Daniel and Jordan Pious
Twenty-two-years old might seem awfully young to make a dream of a lifetime come true, but on Sunday's season finale of CBS' The Amazing Race that's exactly what Jordan Pious managed to do. When the Emmy Award-winning show kicked off its 16th season last February, Jordan immediately fulfilled part of his dream not just by competing on the show, but by doing so so with his older brother Daniel. With each subsequent leg of the racing taking Daniel and Jordan through countries including Chile, Argentina, Germany and Seychelles, the two Rhode Island natives played a solid, clean game that kept them out of the bottom for most of the race.
While the extraordinarily close brothers only managed two first place finishes the entire season, the second came when it mattered most — the final leg of the race which concluded in San Francisco. By finishing first and winning the million dollar prize,...

The finale of The Amazing Race 16 wasn't close at all, as bros Dan and Jordan beat cowboys Jet and Cord by almost a half hour, and maintained a lead throughout the leg. More surprisingly, they revealed that homophobia on the race did not come from Caite, but instead from Jet. "We ended up beating the cowboys by about 25 minutes. They weren't even close to the memory challenge when we left," Dan told TV...

Jet and Cord McCoy have revealed that they are "thankful" for the opportunity to have run the Amazing Race. The cowboy brothers finished in second place on Sunday night's season finale, after being beaten to the $$1 million prize by siblings Dan and Jordan Pious. Speaking to Digital Spy, Cord said: "For a lot of people in the world you don't have to look very far to be thankful for a lot of things. "Jet and I not only have each other, but we got to go around the globe and see the world and go to a lot of places that tourists can't even go to no matter if they have a million dollars or not. We have so much to be thankful for and I just feel blessed to have the opportunity to do The Amazing Race (more)...

It became a battle of the brothers at the end of The Amazing Race 16, with the Rhode Island-bred Daniel, 25, and Jordan Pious, 23, edging out cowboys Jet and Cord for the $1 million — without any advantage from cutting in line at the airport. "We were in the same exact plane at the same exact time, all middle seats in three consecutive rows. Caite and Brent, who were first to get tickets, were in the row furthest from the front," Dan tells TVGuide.com. "If people want to be up-in-arms about cutting, I can understand that, but don't think that it affected the Race. ... And Cord did a good job of getting revenge and distracting me at the virtual challenge, so I guess we're even." It was, rather, the move up to first class that ensured the Piouses a lead that they never relinquished. So how did they smooth-talk their way up front?...

Dan and Jordan Pious won "The Amazing Race," but not without some controversy.
The brothers rode in First Class during the critical last leg of the race, which many viewers thought was against the rules. To set the record straight, a representative assures Zap2it, "They did not cheat."
During the 16th-season finale on Sunday (May 9), the siblings were on a plane with the other teams -- cowboys Jet and Cord and models Brent and Caite. But while everybody was sleeping en route from Shanghai to San Francisco, the brothers made their move.
They somehow finagled a way to sit in First Class, which meant they were nearer to the exit when everyone deplaned. Thus, they got the first cab out and then kept their lead from there all the way to the final pit stop, winning $1 million.

"The Amazing Race" wrapped up its 16th installment Sunday night with the kind of nail-biting finish that has won it seven consecutive Emmy Awards for best reality competition series. Battling brothers Jordan and Dan Pious crossed the finish line first to win the $1-million prize. At the final roadblock in San Francisco, the pair was quick to piece together a puzzle about memorable events over the first 11 legs of this race around the world. Their success left fan favorites cowboy brothers Jet and Cord McCoy in second place while one-time beauty queen and viral video sensation Caite Upton and her model beau Brent Horne had to settle for third spot. On the finale of The Amazing Race last night, the long shot came home to win, but luck certainly had nothing to do with Dan and Jordan being victorious.
Even though they were the second favorite on my pre-race predictions behind Jet and Cord, I downgraded them to being half as likely to win the race with just three teams left. My rationale was based more on the strength of their competition – Jet and Cord and Brent and Caite – than anything negative about Dan and Jordan.
Perhaps I was a little too influenced by the melt down that Dan had in the cab last week while trailing Louie and Michael. In my defense, it was an all-time classic melt down, but really that was the only poor reaction or bad decision the brothers had made in quite some time. Beyond that, they’ve been nothing but a strong team for...

Okay...
The gays won! The gays won! The gays won! Well, the gay won, and so did his brother as season 16 of The Amazing Race finished up in San Francisco last night. Things got dicey early when Jordan put his backpack in front of the sleeping cowboys in the ticketing line, but it was clear sailing once Dan talked him and Jordan into first class after they were on the plane.
Last week's promos played up a "twist" at the end of the race, which basically turned out to be nothing more than Brandy shouting at Caite while Carol prayed that the ground would open and swallow her so she wouldn't have to hear it anymore.
Super congrats to Dan and Jordan!

After a relatively weak season, The Amazing Race 16 delivered an enormously satisfying final episode: strong challenges, great drama, and best of all, an ugly meltdown from Caite Upton and Brent Horne, who were left in the dust where they belong. Dan and Jordan have been named the winners of the sixteenth season of The Amazing Race. The brothers triumphed over fellow finalists Caite and Brent, and Jet and Cord during last night's final episode of the CBS competition. "This has been the most incredible experience. There is no way I could ever have been here without my brother. This is my biggest dream come true, and he is the reason," said Jordan. "I'm thrilled that I did the race and it turned out to be an incredible experience," added Dan. "I made my little brother's dream come true." The teams had been instructed to fly more than 6,000 miles to San Francisco, CA, and find Battery Godfrey. Caite and Brent were the first to arrive at the airport, followed by Jet and Cord, and Dan and Jordan, who appeared to cut in the line ahead of Jet and Cord and book their tickets first,...

Brothers Daniel and Jordan Pious have won the 16th season of "The Amazing Race" after travelling more than 40,000 miles, five continents and nine countries. The siblings hailing from Barrington, Rhode Island finished first in the last pit stop in San Francisco and took home the $1 million grand prize.
Smart moves and good memories contributed to Dan and Jordan's victory. In the airport, they put their backpacks behind Brent and Caite so that they cut the line and pushed Jet and Cord to number 3. Dan and Jordan also did well in the challenge to put several psychedelic posters of other racers in order of their eliminations and quickly advanced to the final pitstop, Candlestick Park.
Coming second were cowboy brothers Jet and Cord who had trouble in assembling the pictures, followed by the models.

Brothers Dan and Jordan Pious are the first-place "The Amazing Race 16" winners, finishing the competition in San Francisco, Calif.
On the season finale Sunday (May 9), Jordan finally achieves his dream of winning the reality show, thanks to the help of his brother Dan.
Although all three teams start out in Shanghai, they eventually end up on the same plane to San Francisco, thus putting everyone on equal footing once they hit stateside.
A few savvy moves put the siblings ahead, and they visit Frisco landmarks Battery Godfrey, Coit Tower, Lucas Film/Industrial Light & Magic, the Tonga Room and the Great American Music Hall before making it to their final pit stop at Candlestick Park.
Fan favorites, the Oklahoma cowboys Jet and Cord McCoy, come in second, leaving dating models Caite Upton and Brent Horne to finish in third.
If you want to relive every excruciating step, check out Zap2it's full recap.

"The Amazing Race 16" comes to a close and the three teams remaining couldn't be more different.
While we all have our favorites -- usually having more to do with personality and less to do with strategy -- the final leg of the race can often upset any advantages that may have previously existed. We'll see if the winning team will be determined by luck, skill or a cab driver's E-z tag.
First up are cowboys Jet and Cord. They're overwhelmingly good-natured and positive, which is incredibly refreshing in such a difficult race that would bring out the worst in us. They've also been strong competitors, keeping a level head and killing challenges such as when they had to balance the flagpoles on their foreheads. They also have the distinction of being the only team ever to have come in last in a non-elimination leg and then coming from behind to...

And then there were three.
Last night The Amazing Race field was whittled from four down to the final three that will race for the one million dollar prize and Louie and Michael were the odd team out. Although they were saddled with a two hour deficit on Dan and Jordan and a Speed Bump for finishing last the previous leg, neither factor did them in (well, at least not directly). Their inability to handle concentration challenges gave Dan and Jordan enough time to squeak ahead of the detectives.
I say that neither factors directly led to their demise because the two hour deficit that Louie and Michael had to overcome was as a result of Michael struggling with the puzzle last week. Ultimately it did not matter because Dan and Jordan burned that entire lead getting nowhere with the Garden Bridge clue to start the leg.

You Have No Idea How I Suffer For My, Um, Art
If there is any task I truly hate as the editor of AfterElton.com, it's having to deal with the Hot 100 every year. The sheer torture of having to check each and every one of your Hot 100 comments for the photos of hot guys you have posted is excruciating.
I can't tell you how much I dread having to— ooh, someone just a posted a new picture of Eddie Cibrian! And check out that one of Sendhil Ramamurthy! Smokin'!
Cibrian is Spanish for "sex on a stick"
Um, where was I? Anyway, I was going to share my Hot 100 pics this week, but it occurs to me that you guys are probably sick of hot guys by this point. In fact, I can sense you are hungering for something more intellectual, so today's column is devoted to a discussion of quantum mechanics.

As I watched this week’s episode of The Amazing Race, “I Feel Like I’m In, Like, Sicily,” the same thought kept popping into my head:
I don’t want any of these teams to lose.
Ok, perhaps that’s a bit of an exaggeration; I’d be fine with Caite and Brent going home. They’re a tad annoying, not too bright and do not really bring a lot to the table, at least not compared to the other three teams. However, on the scale of 1) how awful most couples are on the race and 2) how annoying most of the teams that seem to make the finals are, Brent and Caite are angels.
How entertaining is Brent and Caite’s competition? My man-crush on Jet and Cord is well documented, but who’s going to argue with the assertion that they are two of the nicest people in the world?...

China. The far east empire home to vast natural landscapes, bustling urban metropolises, and questionable civil liberties. But more important, China is the setting for The Amazing Race this week. Four teams remain; New England cops Louie & Michael, brothers Dan & Jordan, dating couple Brent & Caite, and Oklahoma cowboys Jet & Cord. Refreshed from the expulsion of season-long enemies Carol & Brandy, the four remaining teams began the leg in a very amicable manner. Nobody fought, backstabbed, or forged alliances. This week’s episode of The Amazing Race certainly was not one of the most dynamic legs we’ve ever seen, but it was definitely one of the angriest.
Check out some of the quotes from this week:
Brent: Ladies get their way. Bitches don’t.
Carol : They U-Turned us because you’re prettier than she is”
Brandi: She’s on You Tube for a reason.
Carol: Get a good long shot of that bitchy mug
Well! Certainly sounds like somebody is pissing off some players on the race.
As it turns out, this was a battle that had been brewing since the very beginning of the race when Carol and Brandi insulted Caite for her colossal public embarrassment during the Miss Teen USA pageant in 2007. Brent and Caite (rightly) took umbrage with the humiliation from Carol and Brandi and have had a vendetta against them ever since.

'Amazing Race': Who was eliminated last night? I don't watch "The Amazing Race". I just can't find anything interesting about a group of people chasing clues across the country. So it's all thanks to our friends at On The Flix for keeping us informed about the show.
Dan and Jordan were fortunate to get a 'Fast Foward' challenege which allowed them to gain a significant advance over the other teams. Since they finished the challege first, they won a motor bike. Brent and Caite finished in second place and Jet and Cord wound up in third place. In fourth place was Louie and Michael.
Carol and Brandy finished in last place due to having to complete a challenge involving a U-Turn which through them completely off course. With that said, Carol and Brandy were eliminated from last night's episode of "The Amazing Race".
What do you guys think?...

I’d like to apologize to Dan and Jordan. Throughout the entire season, I’ve commented that the brothers are equally irritating and incapable. Whether it be their inability to drive a stick shift, their Jimmy Olsen-caliber wide-eyed naivety, or their especially effeminate mannerisms and diction, Dan and Jordan have just rubbed me the wrong way since episode one.
In retrospect, it’s more than just luck that’s propelled this duo into the final five. Dan and Jordan have this certain unnameable quality that places them among the upper echelon of teams. Unlike dating couples Brent and Caite, or Carol and Brandy, there’s no stereotypical reality TV backstabbing and double-faced tactics. Unlike headstrong brothers Jet and Cord or cock-of-the-walk police officers Louie and Michael, Dan and Jordan emanate a sense of humbleness, of humanity, of fallibility and self-deprecation. Dan and Jordan are the most human, they’re the...
