Ladies, let's be real: Your man could use a little sprucing. Not to say that he's not trying, but honestly where would he be without you guiding him through his fashion decisions? If getting your guy to rock a new trend or trade in his trusty athletic tennies for a more posh version (that doesn't embarrass him, or you, in public) is like pulling teeth, celeb stylist Daniel Musto is here to help. For on-point footwear, Daniel relies on skate-inspired sneakers from Tcg. "They pair perfectly with jeans while also throwing off a suit look in the best way possible," shared the stylist. This traditional white high-top pair is classic, but with a twist. The shoe's white...

We got you. With the help of celeb stylist Daniel Musto, watch the video above to see how stars go from the tarmac to Thanksgiving dinner to brunch and beyond—all with the contents of a standard-size carry-on. Fall's most daring trends are also some of the trickiest to pull off. Tricky proportions and hemlines can offset even the most well-intentioned of fashion ensembles. While a colorful suit sans shirt, seen on stars like Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne, may not fly for your everyday ensemble, a more accessorized version will certainly suffice. Similarly, other hard-to-pull-off trends like a drop-waist dress and Amanda Seyfried's sequin pencil skirt have the potential to go wrong if you don't style them with a strategy in mind. To help us navigate fall's trickiest trends, we consulted E! Style Collective stylist Daniel Musto for his tips on how to take smartly-calculated style risks this...

At this very moment, friends all over the world are discussing this year's Halloween strategy. "Perhaps a sexy '80s aerobics team?" one pal poses. "How 'bout a crew of classic Waldos?" another asks. All legitimate ideas, but if there were ever a moment to rep the posse, it's now. It's time to call in the Taylor Swift squad! Unfortunately, Gigi and Selena's star power just isn't enough to carry you on to costume prize glory. And because the only thing more powerful than one pop princess is several of them, you and friends must turn it up with a team full of T. Swifts. Watch the video to see how celeb stylist Daniel Musto recreated five outfits inspired by...

This is how it usually starts: Daniel Musto (my stylist): Hi honey Me: Oh my God. Daniel: Tell me. Me: I'm doing the post-show for the Emmys! Daniel: Stop it. Me: I will not. I will not stop! We need dresses. Daniel: On it. And then the hunt begins… After that it always starts with what know about the E! Emmy Awards After-Party show: 1.It's the Emmys, Not the Oscars: If we choose a dress that's too major, I may look silly. Of course, the Emmys are serious, but TV is a bit more relaxed. 2. It's the Post-Show and Not the Pre-Show: If you leave it up to me, I'll show up in a damn ball gown! But I...

Los Angeles, July 6: Singer Jessica Simpson is set to expand her fashion credentials by creating a new line focusing on wedding gowns.
The 31-year-old, who is engaged to Eric Johnson, may get married later this year. Meanwhile, she will reportedly study the market and launch her own range of fairytale designs.
"A wedding line is something she's always wanted to do," starpulse.com quoted a source as saying.
Daniel Musto, one of the stylists on her television show "Fashion Star", is excited to see what Simpson wears on her wedding day because that will indictate what her new line will look like.
"If she does something that's going to be memorable for decades, her wedding line is going to be successful because.

The show's stylist, Daniel Musto, has been recapping the show and sharing behind-the-scenes stories throughout the entire season -- see what he had to say about the exciting finale! Other competition shows buffer the focus of their finale with huge musical numbers and celebrity guests. On Fashion Star, it's All about the clothes! Setting an example for the expectations we had of the contestants, the show started with Jessica Simpson's very first runway presentation of her collection. Her spring collection was so much fun to style, because the colors were vibrant, the patterns were strong and the fabrics flowed beautifully. Flowy fabrics are always the most exciting to see walk down the runway, as they take on a new life. The finale look was beautiful but our model, Ashley Alexander, had trouble tripping over the train during fittings. I had a small gold ring sewn on to the skirt for her to hold.

The show's stylist, Daniel Musto, told us all about what it was like on set while the contestants styled their first fashion campaign -- read on for more on the emotional episode! "Who's your campaign?" That was our question of the week for the Fashion Star contestants last night. We have less than half the number of designers with which we began, and the competition is getting rough. While organizing a print campaign, some designers triumphed while others became frustrated and showed their true colors. This week was especially fun for me, being that the contestants and I were able to focus on branding and marketing. A clothing company is nothing without its image, and still-photos of the product a step toward fully determining a demographic. Episode eight opened with a step onto the sophisticated side of the street: John Varvatos' Spring 2012 collection. Jam-packed with earth tones including slate,...

The show's stylist, Daniel Musto, told us all about what it was really like for the designers to work with the mentors! Our mentors play a crucial role in the design process of Fashion Star. This week, they guided and directed the contestants toward success, as they helped conceptualize the designs. Saks, Macy's, and H+M rely on the product's appeal in order to bring money into their companies. This week, the mentors were in control. They put their names on the designs that were created and made sure that the final products were up to par. Kara Laricks was excited to design full suits, per Nicole Richie's request, but was scared of designing three in just a week. John Varvatos expected Ross to come up with an elegant dress that exuded youth and a flirty appeal. I was definitely hesitant that he would find difficulty branching outside of his structured comfort zone.

The show's stylist, Daniel Musto, recapped last night's episode giving us an insiders look at . Read his recap right here! Think outside of the box. What would you do if asked to step outside of your comfort zone? Well, tonight I am just coming in from a Levi's event featuring Snoop Dogg as the DJ and host of the night. Intimate crowd, amazing night. Not my typical Tuesday evening, but definitely worth venturing out. On tonight's Fashion Star, some of the contestants got the same excitement while exploring the unexplored. On episode six of the show, the contestants were told to move outside of their comfort zones by proving their versatility with something they haven't done before. The show started with an exciting look backstage as Ross showed his gratitude toward Julianne Kaye, with Maybelline, while explaining what he was doing this episode. Luciana is the queen of high quality,...

The show's stylist, Daniel Musto, recapped last night's episode giving us a behind-the-scenes look at what really went into the teamwork challenge while designing store windows. Read his recap right here! This week, Fashion Star shoved the retail environment down the throats of the contestants. Not only did they need to impress the buyers with hanger-appeal, but they needed to win them over with window-appeal. This week's goal: design looks that will catch the eye of a passersby, luring them in to the store for more! The window displays used on our stage featured real models, who followed up the window installment with a walk down the runway. These showcases hit the buyers from all directions. Nicole Richie even said, "It's not about being subtle when you're in a window. You really have to throw it in peoples' faces." As someone who has studied window display and had many opportunities to design them for L.

Get an exclusive, first-hand recap from the show's stylist, Daniel Musto! He filled us in on how all the magic comes together behind-the-scenes while we're watching at home! As a wardrobe stylist on a huge television show, I become friendly with the other beauty departments, but don't often have much time with them. Julianne Kaye, with Maybelline doing makeup, and Theodore Leaf, with Suave doing hair, were Fashion Star's other department heads. Tonight, we decided to watch the show together, which was tough because we had So much to say about each of our experiences. It was exciting to hear the drama that was happening in other areas of our set, while I was knee-deep in shoes in my office! Whether Theodore was teaching us his secret for adding volume to a model's bouffant, or Julianne was explaining what specific eyeshadows last longer on different skin tones, our mouths...

Get an exclusive, first-hand recap from Daniel Musto, stylist on the show! Find out what it's really like working with the designers and what goes on behind the scenes. As we enter our third week, America is more excited than ever to get their grubby little hands on the Fashion Star merchandise. Our west coast fans have even started logging on to our retailers' websites during the east coast feed to ensure the availability of the winning merchandise! Last week we bid farewell to the most flamboyant of the contestants, Oscar. Our top-hatted friend let his ego get in the way and disappointed the buyers. Although he and I had a few laughs together backstage, he let me down by speaking negatively of his fellow contestants. I've always known to treat your peers the way you wish to be treated. That way, your successes will run parallel, as opposed to cutting each other off.

Get an exclusive, first-hand recap from Daniel Musto, stylist on the show! He filled us in on last night's episode and also shared what it was like working with the designers on a one-on-one basis. Episode 2 of NBC's Fashion Star jumps head-first into the game! With a boisterous crowd, anxious contestants, and a sparkly Elle Macpherson, we are introduced to the first few contestants: Kara Laricks, Lisa Vian Hunter and Ronnie Escalante. Last week, Kara showed her crisp collar-tie neckpieces. Although a stunning accessory for a female or male customer, the mentors and buyers were underwhelmed. Seen as a bad choice of design in this competition, it was a fun opportunity for me, as the show's stylist, to put full looks together that flattered Kara's signature statement collars. Just before the models hit the stage, I can be found backstage with my team of 10 preparing the final looks for all six models.
