With so many channels and series to choose from these days, there’s no shortage of evil characters you love to hate and hate to love on TV.
These characters are the targets of pranks, are the pranksters themselves and/or maintain a flaw that’s simultaneously endearing and irritating. It’s a delicate balance not every show — although many try — can pull off, but luckily, there are several on TV that I can’t wait to catch up with week after week.
While mass opinion may fluctuate regarding most of these characters, there’s something about each of them that makes tuning in simply fun.
Check out my top 10 characters I love to hate this season:
10. Jerry Gergich on NBC’s Parks and Recreation
Ok, so Jerry (Jim O’Heir) is the nicest guy ever, right? Right. But he gets picked on so much on Parks and Recreation,...

Glee‘s Sue Sylvester might come off like a heartless fiend 99.4% of the time, but her inner human being emerges whenever she’s with her trusty Cheerio sidekick Becky or older sister Jean, played by Robin Trocki; both characters are portrayed by actresses who have Downs Syndrome. Now Jane Lynch’s R-Word video has her working with cast mate Lauren Potter to choreograph a little anti-prejudice routine against those who would use the word “retarded” as an insult. Using some particularly Nsfw language (in the best, most up-lifting way possible, seriously) and comparisons to other forms of hate speech, Lynch and Potter are putting haters on blast, though sadly not with Sue’s out-of-control human cannon, like we might have wished.

Jane Lynch has admitted that filming the recent funeral on Glee was "rough". In the latest episode of the show, Sue's sister Jean (Robin Trocki) passed away and the glee club got together to organise a service. Lynch has now told Entertainment Weekly that Glee's executive producer Ryan Murphy asked her if she would be happy with the storyline. "He took me aside at a party and said, 'I want your blessing on this before we move forward'," she said. "I said, 'It sounds like a really great storyline'. It's the thing that will break Sue Sylvester's heart and get to where she (more)...

It was an emotional episode of Glee last night packed sad moments, break-ups, brutal honesty and a heartbreaking funeral. In the last episode before nationals, the glee team seems to keep it together as they teeter on the edge.
Jesse St. James (Jonathan Gruff) was hired as the New Directions show choir consultant and proposed the singers audition to be the lead for nationals. Jesse was prepared to give feedback that was both “blistering and unhelpful”. As it turns out his criticism was spot on for each performer. Even his opinion of Finn (Corey Monteith), although harsh, was strangely accurate: “You kind of sing and dance like a zombie who has to poop.”
For her audition, Santana (Naya Rivera) chose Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black”. It should have been a lay-up for Santana as her voice is a perfect match up for Winehouse. Unfortunately it fell a little flat...

Giant Spoiler Alert If You Haven’T Watched Last Night’S Glee!
Are you still wiping tears away from your eyes, Gleeks? Last night’s episode of Glee, fittingly titled “Funeral,” featured the shocking death of Sue Sylvester’s beloved sister Jean, played by actress Robin Trocki. EW managed to talk to star Jane Lynch yesterday at Fox’s upfronts and she admitted that the hour was a tough one to film. “People with down syndrome rarely last past 30,” says Lynch. “Robin is 55. So this really hit home. Her sister is there with her all the time, Sharon. They have a very tight relationship.

Upcoming "Saturday Night Live" host Jane Lynch sat down with Jimmy Fallon to talk about her turn on the sketch comedy show and, obviously, what we can expect from Season 2 of "Glee."
The actress kept the discussion to matters we're already somewhat aware of (Nazi hunters!), but did divulge a few new tidbits.
"Last season I talk about my parents being Nazi hunters," says Lynch, referring to her character and not herself. "You know, Sue Sylvester lies all the time, so I just assumed it was a lie. Well, it's true. And my mother will be played by Carol Burnett. And she is a Nazi hunter."
Those are still around? "I guess she found the last Nazi and decided to come check in on her girls," she says of Sue and her sister Jean (Robin Trocki). "I'm sure we'll have mixed reactions to her return."

Eventually, there comes a time in any show's life where it has to answer the big questions: Is there a God? What's truly sacred? And does the savior manifest itself in sandwich form? This week's episode of "Glee," "Grilled Cheesus," started off funny, had a few high moments, but took a bland approach to the religion issue. The same show that decided to have students sing "Push It" as a response to the snooty abstinence club, put on its kid gloves for God.
Starting off with a George Foreman grill created Cheesus was a bold move that seemed to set a satirical tone for the whole episode. Finn, awestruck by his lactose god, decides to begin asking his Cheesus for favors. After an answered prayer for a football win, Finn decides to share his newly invigorated faith with his Glee clubbers. He name drops the new man in his life,...

Carol Burnett is paying "Glee" a visit this Fall as Sue Sylvester's "Nazi-hunting" mother. The legendary comedienne will be featured in an episode which airs either October or November. Sue described her parents as adventurous in the first season, but EW said that it is only mom who stops by. If it's a family reunion then Robin Trocki is also expected to reprise her role as Sue's sister.
Jane Lynch who plays Sue has expressed her excitement over the casting at the unveiling of her wax statue on Wednesday, August 4. "I'm thrilled!" she said while talking to E! Online. "I love her. It would just be awesome if we did a song together!"
Lynch admitted to have been a fan of Burnett since "The Carol Burnett Show" in the '70s. "She's probably my first influence," Lynch revealed. "I watched her show every Saturday night as a kid. My brother...

(S01E17) "Becoming what you despise is not the answer." - Will to the Glee Club
That may be what Will Schuester said, but that's exactly what happened in this episode of 'Glee.' Up was down, down was up, black was white, and everyone was different than their usual selves. All that, and Sue Sylvester and Olivia Newton-John doing a music video together. Apparently, every singer on the planet wants to be in 'Glee.'
But first we had that awful home video of Sue vamping to 'Physical.' I actually loved that certain members of the Glee Club were involved in the swiping of it from her office. You know, go a little crazy, get into some trouble, don't be such a goody two-shoes all the time.
Quinn's construction of the Glist had a little darker motive behind it. As Mr. Shu said, she had lost so much,...
