UK’s Nfts Welcomes First Virtual Production Students
Exclusive: The National Film and Television School (Nfts) has welcomed 15 participants selected to join its inaugural part-time Virtual Production Certificate course, kicking off with a workshop on February 5. The adoption of virtual production – the use of digital tools to mimic and replace live-action production paradigms – gathered momentum throughout the pandemic while international travel was restricted. The nine female and six male Nfts students range in age from 25 to 50 and come from a variety of ethnically diverse backgrounds with careers spanning games, VFX, animation and television; they become the first cohort to undertake extensive training in this specific field. As part of the course, they will have the opportunity to visit the virtual production stage at Warner Bros Studio Leavesden, which features a 7,100-sq.-ft. wraparound virtual production environment, using a matrix of more than 2,600 LED panels integrated with a state-of-the-art processing system.

Back in 2012, British singer Tom Fletcher (of the band McFly) went viral with his wedding speech, which was seen over 19 million times on YouTube. For the occasion, Tom rewrote the lyrics of some of his band's most famous songs, tailoring them to his wife, the wedding party, and his family. Now, Tom and BBC Radio 1 presenter Matt Edmondson have decided to come to Prince Harry's help by turning the original speech into something that the groom-to-be could potentially use on his big day.
To really inspire Harry, the British star took things one step further by dressing up in a wig and army uniform and singing in front of a whole host of royal look-alikes. With lyrics such as "And obviously, my grandma's The Queen, she thinks you're a honey, and she's on the money," we're not sure this hilarious song would go down too well at Windsor Castle,...

In anticipation of the premiere of the Lego Movie spinoff Lego Batman Movie, star Will Arnett is wrapping up his months-long international press tour, which inevitably involves a few radio appearances complete with ridiculous morning zoo crew antics. But, while stopping BBC Radio 1’s Matt Edmondson Show, Arnett took what sounds like an overly complicated Whose Line game and turned it into an impressive feat of improv comedy.
In a segment aptly titled AlphabetiCall, Arnett was asked—or maybe forced is more accurate—to prank call a local toy store in character as Lego Batman and for some reason had to start each sentence with the next letter of the alphabet. Perhaps more impressive than finding a suitable word for odd letters like Q and X, is the fact that Arnett was able to keep the store clerk on the line for the entirety of the bit. Though, to ...

From hi-vis jackets for chickens and guinea-pig t-shirts to Ruth's entire wardrobe choices, Twitter was interested in it all.
Here are this week's best tweets:
Chicken hi-vis jackets baffled a few people:

Saturday's episode of The X Factor was full of high-emotions, doppelgangers and a dose of nastiness too.
Though it was rather Techno Susan-less, there were still other highlights to enjoy. Here is a round-up of the evening's best reactions from the Twittersphere:
It was the first night of the Biggest battle of the TV calendar:

Britain's Got Talent came to an end tonight (May 31) as one lucky winner claimed a spot at this year's Royal Variety Performance.
Jules O'Dwyer and Matisse topped the viewer vote and were duly named Britain's Got Talent 2015 champions.
We round up the reaction on social media to tonight's Britain's Got Talent live final below.
Firstly, there was a lot of moaning about the number of adverts during the show:

I've just voted for the @plusnet advert. Not got the hang of this yet. #BGTfinal

I don't normally watch @Bgt and these adverts after every act are reminding me why. So annoying. #BGTfinal

Two and a half hours of #BGTFinal tonight, that's 43 minutes of the show and 107 minutes of adverts

Dermot O'Leary will be leaving X Factor after eight glorious years as host.
We'll miss the slick suits, the even slicker dance moves, the badinage with Louis Walsh, and most of all his valiant attempts to interview an A-list popstar mere seconds after one of their high-octane performances.

We might have started with 20 candidates on The Apprentice, but we're now down to just two. Lord Sugar's been more brutal than ever, but now he's got to show his nicer side as he picks either Bianca Miller or Mark Wright to receive a £250,000 investment in their business plan.
Bianca's into hosiery, Mark's into digital marketing, and tonight they're both going to launch their businesses in an attempt to prove they've got what it takes. But who'll walk away the victor? We're about to find out, so join us from 9pm when the show starts as we bring you all the action...
23:00But that's that! The Apprentice is over for another series. Seriously, though, when does the next one start? Thanks for joining us!
22:58As a parting gift, Dara gives Mark some cough mixture. Obviously.
22:58Tom, Ricky and Leah are in the audience talking up their businesses.

The Inbetweeners may have just ruled themselves out as the next One Direction, after singing a unique version of 'Steal My Girl'.
Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas were asked to put their vocal cords to the test during a visit to BBC Radio 1, and they happily obliged.
What started as a (slightly) tuneful performance soon escalated into a fit of laughter and screeching, with DJ Matt Edmondson providing encouragement before finally removing his headphones.
The boys recently admitted that The Inbetweeners will not be returning, now that they have finished promoting the second film.
"There's no third film," Bird said. "This is genuinely our last interview ever. Ever, ever, ever."
The Inbetweeners 2 is released on Blu-ray and DVD on December 1.

Matt Edmondson took over Craig Revel Horwood's Twitter this afternoon, claiming that the Strictly Come Dancing judge was about to jump ship to The X Factor.
Horwood, who has been openly critical of Simon Cowell's singing competition, had earlier appeared on Edmondson's Radio 1 show and lost in a game of Pie Tennis.
As a forfeit, Edmondson was given control of Horwood's micro-blogging account and posed as the dancing judge, telling Horwood's 93,600 followers that he had accepted a job from Cowell.
Just been asked to judge @thexfactor by @simoncowell - I've said Yes.

One fan, Wendy Hurrell, quickly responded: "@CraigRevHorwood @TheXFactor @SimonCowell Please don't say you're leaving Scd?! Nooooooooooooooooo!"
However, other users who had been listening to the show reassured her that it was a prank.
Horwood himself regained control of his Twitter feed to set the record straight.
