Billed as India’s most expensive film, the $40m historical drama has shattered a number of local box office records since its release last July. It subsequently became the top-grossing local film with a box office of $90m, according to Francois da Silva of Arka Mediaworks International.
Arka International was set up as the sales arm of Indian production outfit Arka Mediaworks to handle international sales of the film. It is headed by da Silva, who was formerly creative consultant at Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp and former artistic director of Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight.
The film has been sold to 70 territories, including China, Japan, South Asia and Latin America.

Chennai, March 25: Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli has said that he is not working on any other project besides his ambitious Telugu period-drama "Baahubali". He has also refuted rumours about teaming up with actor Allu Arjun.
"Though I (would) love to work with Bunny (Allu Arjun), there hasn't been any plan or talks yet. All you see are mere speculations. (I) won't be planning anything till 'Baahubali' is over," posted Rajamouli on his Twitter page.
"Baahubali", slated to release in 2015, features an ensemble cast of Rana Daggubati, Prabhas Varma, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan.

"I am not acting in 'Bahubali'. The picture which is making rounds is three years old. I got my beard done in that style just for fun," posted Rajamouli on his Twitter page.
The lead cast, which includes Rana Daggubati and Prabhas, are sporting a full grown beard for the film. So, when Rajamouli also sported a similar look recently, it was assumed that he is making a cameo in the movie.
This high-budget film also features Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, Adivi Sesh and Kiccha Sudeep in important roles. It is being jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni.
