Anticipation for 2017’s major festivals is at an all time high, with Coachella‘s lineup serving as the holy grail of the entire season. We’ve already heard some rumors about the alleged headliners, while DJ Khaled inadvertently spilled the beans on his slot at the festival. Now we have another enticing update to ponder with a list that attempts to predict the entire lineup.
A website called TravelGrom has consistently made predictions about Coachella lineups in the past with a high degree of accuracy compared to the average rumor, and they’ve just offered up their projections for 2017. While the information is just conjecture at this point, TravelGrom predicted last year’s lineup with 64% accuracy. If that figure holds true again, over half of the list will wind up on the official lineup.
The alleged lineup includes a diverse array of styles, with representation from Edm, Rock, Rap, Pop and everything in between.

Kendrick Lamar recently scorched his competition with a searing verse on Big Sean's "Control (Hof)," but having the verse of the summer isn't the only accolade the 26-year-old notched this year. According to a new report from Songkick (via NME), the rapper spent more time on festival stages than any other performing artist or band.
The Compton standout topped 46 hours -- or 2760 minutes -- performing at summer festivals, according to data the gig-tracking website studied from hundreds of events. Two Door Cinema Club (41 hours) was in second place, with Of Monsters and Men, Local Natives and Major Lazer rounding out the top five, and perennial favorites Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, The Vaccines and Calvin Harris also notching tallies that were not to be messed with.
As we previously reported, Lamar's "Control" verse was seen as perhaps the distinct hip hop moment of the summer, if not the year:

5) Die Antwoord “Cookie Thumper”
Directed by Ninja
I couldn’t help but include the latest from Die Antwoord because their videos are so insanely weird and awesome. “Cookie Thumper” is no different, it’s not their best but it’s still good.
4) Jj Doom “Bookhead”
Directed by Steve Powers
Doom gets a new mask this week in highly original video for “Bookhead”, the pair also released a cool ‘the making of’ video too.
3) Wavves “That’s On Me”
Directed by Brandon Dermer
Much like the Die Antwoord video, this isn’t Wavves best but again it’s still fairly entertaining. Watch Cold Steel’s Lynn Thompson smash up various objects in “That’s On Me”.
2) The Postal Service “A Tattered Line of String”
Directed by Ab/CD/CD

Taylor Rice and the rest of the Local Natives grew up in Mission Viejo, Calif., a city in Orange County that's somewhat less flashy than its Newport and Laguna Beach neighbors and was once the the safest town in the entire country.
"Coachella is the festival that we were always hopping the fence of or getting tickets to," Rice told The Huffington Post in a pre-festival interview. "We're playing this sunset slot on this second outdoor stage, which is sort of surreal now just to say that."
That shift -- from a kid hoping to save enough to attend to playing to one's own fans -- is all the more disorienting given the band's path to the Indio festival. "Hummingbird," Local Natives' second album, took "years" to make and, according to Rice, the band finally feels like they're escaping the "cage" they had to enter to produce it. (The soundtrack to that prison?...

With summer just around the corner, the music industry is poised to start dropping tons of new tracks in hopes of bringing the heat -- but what to listen to on the days you don't feel like sweating it out on the dancefloor? To craft the perfect soundtrack for beating the heat, ETonline has turned to Haley Strode, star of Nickelodeon's newest hit series, Wendell & Vinnie.
"This is a compilation of what I consider to be necessary summertime tunes," Strode tells ETonline, "meant to be listened to in this order."
Tobias Froberg, Somewhere in the City
"There must be a party ... somewhere in the city." These rad lyrics help inspire a carefree summer.
The La's, There She Goes

James Brown, It's a Man's Man's Man's World
This song reminds me of a summer I lived in NYC; James Brown is a bad...

A while ago I'd toyed with the idea of coming up with a video format for Pajiba After Dark, but ultimately dismissed it as being too difficult and ineffective since the beauty of this is that you can scan down to find shows and times relatively easily and there wouldn't be a way to do that with a video. However, now that I'm stuck with the freaking Left Hand of Doom because of a broken pinkie finger, I'm toying with that idea again as typing is frustrating and slow to do. So, any suggestions would be welcome, or you could tell me to quit my bitching and learn to type one handed better. Here's your Tuesday night TV:
