Donald Trump has arrived at the Washington, D.C., courthouse where he will be arrested and arraigned today on charges related to a plot to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. See some images from the scene below.
The atmosphere outside has the feel of Hollywood Boulevard: vendors selling T-shirts, a Trump impersonator hoping to strike gold and competing speakers with amplifiers claiming that the former president either deserves to be in jail or that he really won the election over Joe Biden.
The crowd outside thinned a bit once the arraignment started, and someone cranked their music up to play Kool and the Gang’s “Celebration.”
There still were occasional arguments between Trump supporters and opponents. It was difficult to discern if one exchange — in which two speakers battled over January 6, Covid and Elon Musk — was real or merely performance art.

It has been revealed that Jim Carrey’s hit 2003 film Bruce Almighty almost had two sequels.
Screenwriters Steve Koren and Mark O’Keefe shared their plans for Brucifer, a Bruce Almighty sequel that would’ve found Carrey’s character gaining the powers of a devil instead of God.
In the original film, Carrey plays the role of Bruce Nolan, a television reporter who complains to God that he is not doing his job correctly and is offered the chance to try being God himself for one week.
“[Carrey’s] manager and him wanted to do Brucifer,” Koren told Syfy. “We went in and pitched it, but it never quite worked out, because it was later on… It would have been another giant movie and I don’t think they wanted to do it. It just didn’t work out for some reason, but a lot of people loved it, including Jim.”

When Herschel Walker wrapped up a campaign appearance several weeks ago, TV news cameras caught a man in sunglasses, briefly conversing with the U.S. Senate candidate as he tried to hand him a lengthy strip of condoms.
It was soon apparent that it was a gag and, generating at least two million views on Twitter, one of the more successful pranks executed by The Good Liars, the comedy duo of Jason Selvig and Davram Stiefler who, since the Occupy protests of 2011, have specialized in infiltrating campaign events and, as best as they can, interacting with candidates and their supporters.
Their satire is largely focused on the Right. They have irritated Donald Trump by heckling him for being “boring.” They have performed an “exorcism” on Ted Cruz. This cycle, Stiefler interrupted a campaign event for J.D. Vance, running for U.S. Senate in Ohio, asking for a refund for Vance’s book,...

What do you do when the love of your life is in the bathroom next to you while you’re unfortunately experiencing some diarrhea? Get her pregnant and make her miss her flight to spend the rest of her life with you, of course!
Wow, that sounds much more exciting than what the film is actually about. Starring Alba Rohrwacher and Adam Driver as Mina and Jude respectively, the film follows the two as they meet, get pregnant, and try to raise their son. Directed by Saverio Costanzo and written by Costanzo and Marco Franzoso, Hungry Hearts offers a new perspective on life and how our circumstances lead to an end result.

Comedian Jason Selvig found a creative way to promote his new Netflix mockumentary “Undecided” when he approached Fox News’ Jesse Watters on the streets of New York, and gave him a taste of his own medicine. In light of Watters’ disastrous Chinatown segment, which many viewers considered offensive and racist, Selvig pitched the “O’Reilly Factor” correspondent a slew of more ideas for terrible segments, including gems such as “a bunch of black people eating fried chicken” and “Mexicans just eating tacos.” The video even had movie clips intertwined throughout, just like the “Watters World” segments on Fox News. Watters seemed amused until Selvig.

The comedy duo The Good Liars consists of Davram Stiefler and Jason Selvig, two guys who satirize people and organizations through on-the-ground comedy. They started in 2011 posing as investment bankers “protesting” the Occupy Wall Street protests, but have then moved on to other targets, like Time-Warner Cable, Chick-fil-a, and the NRA. But now, the duo have produced a film in which they, along with Roger Ayeels and Jen Richmond (played by “Daily Show” veterans Aasif Mandvi and Jena Friedman), go on the campaign travel to satirize the 2016 presidential election. Combining real footage of the The Good Liars disrupting campaign events and filmed material for the film, Stiefler and Selvig try to get to the heart of the nation through comedy. Watch an exclusive clip from the film below.

Out here in Southern California it's been hovering around 90 degrees for the passed few days and that's really gotten summertime on our minds. Mpi is apparently feeling the warmth to as their latest acquisition will see them celebrating a Summer of Blood.
According to Deadline the hipster horror comedy Summer Of Blood, from writer-director Onur Tukel (Richard’s Wedding, Septien), has been acquired by Mpi Media Group after debuting at last month’s Tribeca Film Festival.
Tukel also stars in the indie as Erik Sparrow, a selfish, schlubby NYC hipster whose miserable life turns around when he meets a vampire in Brooklyn and becomes a blood-sucker himself.
Mpi’s Dark Sky Films will debut the pic, described as “Curb Your Enthusiasm meets True Blood,” in a Fall 2014 theatrical run and DVD/VOD release. Summer Of Blood also stars Anna Margaret Hollyman, Dakota Goldhor, Dustin Guy, Melodie Sisk, and Jason Selvig.
