At the film’s high-profile L.A. premiere at The Grove, Swift paired an Oscar de la Renta gown with Cartier jewels and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes; 11 days later, she wore Nike Air Force 1 sneakers and a vintage 1990 Kansas City Chiefs sweater (courtesy of Toronto-based vintage store Ellie Mae) to an NFL game between the Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers. In Cyberpunk 2077, Iconic weapons are some of the strongest items you can acquire as you make your way up Night City’s criminal underbelly. These firearms, swords, and clubs are more powerful than most other items and usually sport unique perks that set them apart even further. Since Phantom Liberty introduces a brand new area to explore, complete with more missions, this Dlc also packs quite a few new Iconic weapons.
Of course, Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG that lets players decide how to approach different challenges with unique character builds, so not every iconic weapon will gel with every player. Some gamers will gravitate towards an assault rifle that makes enemies explode into pools of acid, others will find themselves drawn to a machete that lights opponents on fire. "The Last Jedi" is one of the most controversial "Star Wars" sequels produced since George Lucas made five hugely controversial sequels to his first "Star Wars," and the most controversial until somehow, Palpatine returned. The film also does a lot of things right, interrogating the idea of the hero's journey and of the Jedi in the story of Luke Skywalker, expanding our understanding of the galaxy far, far away with the politically-charged Canto Bight subplot, and delivering one of the all-time greatest "Star Wars" fights with the duel in Snoke's throne room.
Though "The Last Jedi" features some of the best "Star Wars" movie moments ever (according to us), there were some stunning moments that didn't make it to the film. This includes a scene that really delves into Luke's struggles with the legacy of the Jedi, which adds to the overall message of the film and arguably explains Luke's...

Sometimes, it’s easy to figure out how a piece of Star Wars media fits into the larger Star Wars timeline. The Book of Boba Fett, for instance, clearly takes place after the Galactic Empire has fallen, but we only know that because of a few cameos from pre-existing characters and context clues. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor doesn’t offer such obvious luxuries since it is a more self-contained story, which makes it more difficult to place in the greater timeline. Difficult, but not impossible.
Before we begin, we should explain some terminology. Much like the real world, the chronology of Star Wars falls into two periods: Before the Battle of Yavin (Bby) and After the Battle of Yavin (Aby). For reference, the Battle of Yavin is the famous assault on the Death Star in A New Hope and marked the Rebel Alliance’s first decisive victory against the Empire.

[This story contains spoilers for The Mandalorian “Chapter 24: The Return.”]
On Wednesday, The Mandalorian season three finale wrapped up Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Bo-Katan Kryze’s (Katee Sackhoff) journey to reclaim Mandalore for the displaced and scattered Mandalorian people. In the process, it helped drive home that the series is bringing a narrative focus to Star Wars as it plots its return to the big screen in coming years.
In an action-packed 40-minutes, Din and Bo-Katan defeat Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), who was revealed this season to have escaped capture, while also effectively cloning himself to create an unstoppable force-sensitive clone army. The season’s penultimate episode also revealed Gideon’s involvement with the Shadow Council, a group of Empire loyalists that are working to overthrow the New Republic.
These are developments that not only serve Din and Grogu’s storyline, but also drive forward to support a greater Star Wars narrative as a whole.

There will be spoilers for "The Mandalorian" season 3 finale: "Chapter 24 - The Return"
Everyone loves to learn the villains master plan at the end of their machinations, and Moff Gideon's plans are no different. He revealed to Din Djarin what he was really up to in the season finale of "The Mandalorian" and it has a lot of wide-ranging and far-reaching implications that tie into the past of "Star Wars," the future in the form of the sequel trilogy, and into storytelling yet to come.
What was his plan?
As Gideon explains it to Din Djarin, his goal was to imbue clones with the ability to use the Force. Having clones outfitted in beskar Stormtrooper armor, augmented with Death Trooper technology, and cloned from Moff Gideon himself, the ability to use the Force would make that army unstoppable.

This Star Wars: The Mandalorian article contains spoilers.
The penultimate episode of The Mandalorian season 3, “The Spies,” features the return of Moff Gideon and the introduction of the Shadow Council that governs what’s left of the Empire five years after Return of the Jedi. While the mention of Grand Admiral Thrawn and more hints of Palpatine’s cloning plan may have been some of the larger takeaways from this scene, there’s an important connection to the First Order and the Sequel Trilogy that shows just how dangerous this council is to the future of the New Republic.
We learn one of the members of the Shadow Council is Commandant Brendol Hux. Yes, that’s right, he’s the father of future First Order General Armitage Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) from the Sequel Trilogy. His son will one day become an important part of the First Order’s plan to...

We need to talk about Ben Solo, once again. Starting with "The Force Awakens," Kylo Ren has been a controversial adversary in the sequel trilogy of "Star Wars." A servant of the First Order, Ben Solo (Adam Driver) was the brooding, patricidal son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford), and a fanboy of his grandpa Darth Vader. Depending on certain points of view, he was either a sad boy deserving of redemption or a brat who never received any grace. But even at his worst, Kylo Ren had an allure that couldn't be denied.
However you feel about Kylo Ren, things are about to get more controversial. The 2023 Star Wars Celebration announced an upcoming untitled "Star Wars" movie directed by "Ms. Marvel" Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy. It's set 15 years after "Rise of Skywalker," with Daisy Ridley returning as Rey Skywalker to train the new Jedi generation. Whether or not Ben will explicitly be brought up,...

"Star Wars" Celebration 2023 came out swinging thanks to Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase, a panel that saw three new "Star Wars" films announced along with trailers and details on the next wave of live-action series. Perhaps most notably, for all the nerds who care about such things (me; I'm "the nerds"), Lucasfilm also revealed a handy dandy official timeline for a galaxy far, far away. It breaks down the history of the franchise into nine distinct periods, starting with "Dawn of the Jedi" and ending with "New Jedi Order."
"Dawn of the Jedi," as the name implies, covers the discovery of the Force and the emergence of the first Force users. James Mangold, director of "Logan" and the upcoming "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," is now confirmed to be helming a film that takes place during this era. It's an epoch that has yet to be fully examined in the modern canon,...

Season 3 of “The Mandalorian” deviated from the central plot in an intriguing manner during Episode 3, “The Convert.” Most of the running time was focused on the former-Imperial Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi) as he tries to rehabilitant his life with the New Republic on Coruscant. Pershing is ultimately betrayed by his supposed ally Elia Kane (Katy O’Brian), which is curiously the first villainous action of Season 3. Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) is sidelined and supposedly mind-flayed (though it’s a good bet we haven’t seen the last of him), leaving a void in the series for a new “Big Bad” to fill. Several clues were present during the adventures of Pershing and Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) this week, pointing to a larger menace lurking behind the scenes. Here are the best guesses as to who may serve as the villain of the season.

This post contains spoilers for the latest episode of "The Mandalorian."
"Star Wars" fans had to go without "The Mandalorian" for more than two years following the conclusion of season 2 and, for many of us, it felt like forever. Now, it somehow feels like it's been no time at all as we're rolling right along through season 3. The latest episode, "The Foundling," is a relatively short adventure, but one that gave us much to chew on. From a big Order 66 flashback to yet another monster that Mando and his clan need to deal with, it's jam-packed. Perhaps overlooked in the proceedings is the fact that we learned a little bit more about the helmet rule that the Children of the Watch hold onto, and we now have a great many questions.

Nearly half a century of playing “God Save the Queen” on his electric guitar has paid off for Brian May. The Queen’s son, now King Charles III, officially knighted the musician on Tuesday. May, age 75, posted a photo of him taking the ceremonial sword to his shoulders, writing that he had “no words” to describe the honor.
Billboard reports that May, who co-founded the band Queen (not to be confused with the Queen), now officially holds the rank of “Knight Bachelor,” which recognizes his achievements in music and charity.

Sylvester Stallone has had a few franchises over the years – Rocky, Rambo, The Expendables – but he also has a film that should have been a franchise starter, but never received any of the sequels it deserved. That’s the 1986 classic Cobra (watch it Here), which also happens to be the movie The Arrow in the Head Show hosts John “The Arrow” Fallon and Lance Vlcek are talking about in the new episode of the series. There are a few actors who stand the test of time. These actors have lengthy and successful acting careers and stay relevant no matter what decade it is. Helen Mirren is one of those elite actors. Part of keeping a lucrative acting career is goal setting each year, but Mirren says there are two resolutions she fails to keep every year.

A currently crippling fall may see Hanif Kureishi unable to walk or “ever be able to hold a pen.”

“I cannot scratch my nose, make a phone call or feed myself,” Kureishi said, stating he’s had “minor improvements” since a spine operation in recent days.
In a moving and explicit thread, the acclaimed playwright, author and screenplay writer said that he had been watching a soccer match between Premier League rivals Liverpool and Aston Villa in the Italian capital when he began to feel sick and went down:

Steven Spielberg will be feted with a special homage at the 73rd edition of the Berlin International Film Festival next February.
The festival will present Spielberg with an Honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement and also screen most of his recent work, including The Fabelmans.
“With an incredible career, Steven Spielberg has not only enchanted generations of viewers all over the world but has also given a new meaning to the ‘cinema’ as the factory of dreams,” Berlinale director duo Mariette Rissenbeek and Carlo Chatrian said in a joint statement.
“Be it in the everlasting magic world of teenagers or in the reality that history has carved forever, his movies take us to a different level, where the big screen becomes the adequate surface for our emotions to be fulfilled. If Berlinale 2023 represents a new beginning we couldn’t find a better start than the one offered by Spielberg’s great work.

This Star Wars: Andor article contains spoilers.
Andy Serkis has been a genre mainstay for decades, portraying characters like Gollum in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films, Alfred in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, Ulysses Klaue in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Supreme Leader Snoke in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. And Andor just added a second Star Wars credit to the actor’s filmography.
Until Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) cut him in half with a lightsaber in The Last Jedi, Serkis provided the motion capture and voice of the mysterious Snoke, Supreme Leader of the First Order and the unknowing puppet paving the way for Emperor Palpatine’s eventual return in The Rise of Skywalker. Since Serkis had already appeared in such a prominent role in the Star Wars universe, it was surprising to see him pop back up in Andor episode 8 but as a completely different character.

The entertainment industry lost a legend today. The children of Dame Angela Lansbury have sadly had to announce that their mother has passed away at the age of 96 – just five days shy of her 97th birthday. According to the announcement, Lansbury “died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 Am today, Tuesday, October 11, 2022.”
Lansbury is best known for her twelve season, 264 episode run as author / crime solver Jessica Fletcher on the mystery series Murder, She Wrote – a role she went on to reprise in four made-for-tv movies. But when you look on her filmography, Murder, She Wrote is just one of 111 screen acting credits she earned during a career that stretched back to 1944.
Born in London on October 16, 1925, Lansbury is said to have “retreated into playing characters” after her politician father died of stomach cancer in 1935. She became interested in film while attending high school, and...

After seven decades, the United Kingdom has a new woman to call queen.
Charles’ wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will be known as Queen Consort — a title that came with Queen Elizabeth II’s blessing after years of contention, dating back to the days before she even married Prince Charles.
It wasn’t always a given that the 75-year-old Camilla would take the title, even though it gives her none of the sovereign’s powers.
While the wife of a king is traditionally crowned queen, the question of what title Camilla would hold when Charles became king had been a tricky one for many years. That was due to sensitivity about her status as his second wife — and the wave of grief that washed over Britain following the death of his former wife, Princess Diana, in a car crash in 1997.

Zero Hour: Match #1: Aaa Mixed Tag Team Championship Match – Ortiz & Ruby Soho def. Sammy Guevara & Tay Melo
My Thoughts: This started out so well, with Ortiz and Soho running Sammy over with a gold cart in a brilliant call-back to Sammy’s experience with said vehicle. Ortiz looked like a machine in this match, delivering some strong, hard moves to combat Guevara’s speed and agility. This match moved fast, with only a brief lull in action whilst it looked like, the teams recovered from the ridiculous fast-paced, high impact in-ring action! Wrong team won...

Joe E. Tata, who portrayed the endearing Peach Pit diner owner Nat Bussichio on all 10 seasons of the original Beverly Hills, 90210, has died. He was 85.
Tata died Wednesday night, his daughter, Kelly Katharine Tata, announced on a GoFundMe page. Earlier, she wrote that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2018 and that he had been moved in April to the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills.
In what has to be some kind of record, Tata played henchmen to three supervillains — Frank Gorshin’s the Riddler, Burgess Meredith’s the Penguin and Victor Buono’s King Tut — on the 1966-68 ABC series Batman.
He also appeared in the ’60s on a trio of Irwin Allen-produced sci-fi shows — ABC’s The Time Tunnel (once as Napoleon) and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and CBS’ Lost in Space...

Road trip movies certainly aren’t new but some have come to define cinema and so it takes something special to stand out from a crowded marketplace. Don’t Make Me Go, the latest from Actor/Director Hannah Marks is a Road Trip movie with a difference, it stars John Cho as Max Park, a single dad who discovers he has a terminal disease and intends to make the most of the time he has left with his daughter Wally, played by Mia Isaac, with whom he has a fractious relationship.
The bulk of the film is dedicated to the pair’s journey across the States to his college reunion, making stops along the way to visit Casinos, dance and bond in both bizarre and heartwarming fashion. As the film unwinds we get to know why Max is perhaps so uptight and protective with his ex-wife Nicole running off with a...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation which was filmed prior to Blood and Guts last Wednesday. We’ve got Tony Schiavone and Mark Henry on commentary and a mere six matches to cover. So let’s get to it!
Match #1: Anna Jay def. Megan Meyers
My Thoughts: Megan Meyers looks the part that’s for sure. She reminded me of Abadon but less monstrous and terrifying. She showed some promise too, taking it to Anna Jay – which means this was, you guessed it, an Aew quasi-squash match!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Best Friends def. Isaiah Broner and Gpa
My Thoughts: This was another quasi-squash with Broner and Gpa given enough room by Best Friends to put in some offence. Broner looked impressive both in size and strength whilst Gpa brought the skills. Nice to see Chuck Taylor get the pin this week too!

This Star Wars: Obi-wan Kenobi article contains spoilers.
Obi-Wan and Leia find themselves in the Inquisitors’ clutches this week. Their escape from Fortress Inquisitorius is a classic Star Wars adventure with some spooky reveals about what exactly sits at the heart of the Inquisitors’ command base. Meanwhile, Leia proves she’s almost as good at holding up to Imperial interrogation at 10 as she will be in A New Hope.
Below are all the Star Wars references, easter eggs, and cameos we spotted in episode 4. We have to start with the unfortunate Jedi encased in the Inquisitor tomb. While we can’t exactly confirm who these characters are, there are a few fan theories as to their identities. Of course, it’s possible the bodies in the tomb simply look similar to characters we’ve seen before in the Prequel Trilogy and The Clone Wars. Either way, prepare to be heartbroken…...
