Former MasterChef contestant Alvin Quah has been accused of plagiarism by a Us food blogger and cookbook author. Bee Yinn Low, who writes under the Twitter name Rasa Malaysia, took to the microblogging site to confront Quah after a fan told her that he used her black sesame seed dumplings with ginger syrup during his time on the Australian cooking show and claimed it as his own. She first wrote on her Twitter page: "A reader told me that a Au MasterChef contestant stole my recipe and posted on his blog, No Credit. He even made it on the show! Wth! (sic)" Low then wrote to Quah: "Wow u took my Black Sesame Dumplings recipe, copied it word-by-word w/ minor changes & made it on national TV with no credit?" He replied: "Hey bee, is it a mistake?
