Fringe alum Kirk Acevedo is set to clash with Arrow, as a version of the DC Comics baddie Richard Dragon.
As reported by our sister site Deadline, Acevedo has been cast as Ricardo Diaz, an ex-con who is set on taking control of Star City’s criminal underworld. Based on DC Comics’ Richard Dragon, Diaz is described as a master in hand-to-hand combat.
Previously, Arrow announced at the San Diego Comic-Con that Person of Interest‘s Michael Emerson would recur during Season 6 as a mystery character (perhaps Helix founder Cayden James?).
Acevedo most recently recurred on At&T Audience Network’s Kingdom,...

We first developed a crush on the Science Channel when it started replaying Firefly episodes. We became completely smitten when they sponsored the Firefly tenth anniversary panel at Comic-Con, and when we learned about the 10th anniversary special Firefly: Browncoats Unite (which you hopefully watched last night, it was So Shiny – if not, look for the replays) we knew we were fully in love.
When we learned that Science Channel had won the syndication rights to our beloved Fringe, we knew that this was not just a fling but a long-term relationship. And Science Channel is not taking us for granted but is proving its commitment to us, the geek community, by beginning its replay with not just one hour a week, but Three Hours a week, on Tuesdays (filling our previously sci-fi-less day!) And replaying the rest of the entire first season in a post-Thanksgiving marathon!

Fringe 4.22 "Brave New World, Part 2" Review
For an episode that could have very easily been Fringe's series finale, "Brave New World, Part 2," charges courageously ahead, resolving old storylines while setting up the endgame to come in the show's thirteen-episode final season. And while it contained several predictable and ultimately frustrating elements, the episode was ultimately a strong one that should leave audiences talking for a few weeks.
Of course, fans are going to be talking about one particular standout scene, which was undoubtedly one of Fringe's strongest moments: when Walter shot Olivia in the head. It was a moment just as shocking and as unexpected as it was when it happened back in last season's finale. Of course, over the following commercial break, it wasn't too difficult to figure out how the writers would work their way out of that corner: Walter's description of Cortexiphan's regenerative abilities should...

Ever since Fringe’s beginning, the tangled mythology has been unraveled at a pace synonymous with genre TV — most “answers” lead to more questions. Friday’s episode of Fringe, ominously titled “The End of All Things,” is one such milestone in the show’s history.
“It’s definitely, as they say, a game-changer in that our characters learn a lot more and the audience is going to learn a lot more about the über-plot of the season’s bad guy, David Robert Jones (Jared Harris),” executive producer Jeff Pinkner said today in a conference call with reporters. Fringe star Kirk Acevedo has insisted that the show deserves recognition at this year's Emmy Awards. The ceremony will take place on September 18, while Fringe star Joshua Jackson will announce this year's nominees alongside Mike & Molly's Melissa McCarthy on July 14. Acevedo, who plays Charlie Francis on the Fox sci-fi drama, told Latina that his co-stars Anna Torv (Olivia Dunham) and John Noble (Walter Bishop) both deserve an Emmy nod. "[Anna] busts her ass on that show," he claimed. "And John Noble does, too. John definitely busts his ass on that show. They should both get at least a little something." The actor also suggested (more)...

Kirk Acevedo has revealed that he is keen to appear in the fourth season of Fringe. Acevedo plays Charlie Francis on the Fox sci-fi drama, but recently suggested that his new role on NBC's Prime Suspect could limit any future guest appearances. "It all depends on my schedule," Acevedo told Latina. "The only good thing is that I'm going to be in Los Angeles filming Prime Suspect, so it's closer to Vancouver [where Fringe shoots]." He continued: "I've got no problem [returning] if my schedule allows it. I spoke to the show runners [and] I know they want me for a few episodes." Acevedo (more)...

We're not sure if Joshua Jackson should be all smiles, considering the reality-bending twists Fringe writers will have to come up with to get Peter Bishop back on the show for the fourth season due out this Fall. Not only that, but he'll have to watch his back now that Lincoln Lee (Seth Gabel) has officially been promoted to series regular.
It's been only a few weeks since the shocking events of Fringe's third season finale "The Day We Died," which saw Jackson's Peter Bishop suddenly fading out of existence after using the machine to tear holes between universes and finally bridge the gap in the parallel universe war (isn't this show great?), but already cast and crew are hard at work at plotting out season four.
And don't you worry folks, showrunners Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have assured viewers that Joshua Jackson will indeed return next season.

Kirk Acevedo has revealed that he will play a limited role in the upcoming fourth season of Fringe. The actor plays Charlie Francis on the Fox sci-fi drama, but his new show Prime Suspect was recently picked up to series by NBC. "All I know is they do want me back [on Fringe]," Acevedo told TV Line. "It's a great group of guys over there." Discussing his on-screen partner Seth Gabel (Lincoln Lee), he added: "Seth is such a good guy. I talk to him all the time." However, Acevedo confirmed that his new commitment to Prime Suspect could (more)...
