Arati is an emerging Indian screenwriter making her mark across feature films and series projects. She wrote the story and screenplay for the acclaimed short The Interview for Netflix India's Feels Like Ishq anthology in 2021. Her first short film Silvatein - which she wrote, produced and directed - premiered at the New York Indian Film Festival, was selected at the Indian Film Festival of Houston, and received a special mention at the Manhattan Short Film Festival. Formerly a part of Planman Motion Pictures, she worked on the development, production, marketing and film festival liaising of National Award-winning films like Dosar, Faltu, The Last Lear, and Do Dooni Chaar, and went on to assist Saurabh Shukla on his directorial feature I'm 24. In 2016, she was among the top nine selected candidates from a pool of over 3,500 applicants for AIB First Draft - a six-month residency screenwriting program. She is currently working on flagship series across different genres for Netflix, Amazon, and Lionsgate India Studio. A music-based series she recently co-wrote for Viacom as well as her Netflix series helmed by Puneet Krishna and directed by Amrit Raj Gupta are currently in post-production. She is presently developing a feature film with a leading Indian studio, a series with an independent producer, and working on her original feature film.
