A couple weeks ago on episode 4 of the current 16th season of Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance,” the show opened with 18-year-old twin brothers, Trent and Colton Edwards, contemporary dancers with flair to spare who are based in Pittsburgh. They explained that they only took up dancing three years ago. However, they also added that they had musical theater experience, which they said provided the equivalent of Tsa PreCheck when it came to taking on dance. Cute, huh?
The good-looking twosome instantly charmed the judges with their talkative personalities as cheeky Colton confessed that he was the evil twin of the two. Their “Sytycd” performance (see clip above) was quite a showstopper and even caused judge Mary Murphy to let loose with one of her sonic shrieks of glee. Of course, they were given a golden ticket to the Academy.

Like Christina Aguilera executing a run during a contestant’s rehearsal package, or Blake Shelton spiking the comedic volleyball in Adam Levine’s face (over and over again), The Voice‘s Alisan Porter is pretty much perfect.

On The Voice’s semifinals results show James Wolpert and Cole Vosbury were eliminated and the show's alumni were on hand to perform live. Seasons four's Michelle Chamuel, Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers performed, as well as season three winner Cassadee Pope.
The Voice Recap: Performances
The Swon Brothers opened the results show with a fun and energetic performance of their country/rock “Later On.”
Check out our interview with The Swon Brothers from last season's finale!
Chamuel performed next, singing her first single “Go Down Singing.” It was like returning back to last season as Chamuel owned the stage in a powerful performance.
Pope was the next performance, singing a poppy yet melancholy “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart.”
Bradbery performed last, singing “Never Like This" from her album Heart Of Dixie. The famously pitch-perfect teenager was on point, as always.
Season two alumni Jamar Rogers and Chris Mann also made appearances.

Twenty-five years later, the story of one Los Angeles mother's fight to save her son from an AIDS-related death still resonates with Hollywood families.
Celebrities like Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Tia and Tamera Mowry, and Tom Arnold came with small children Sunday to the 24th annual "A Time For Heroes" celebrity picnic fundraiser for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to the global eradication of pediatric AIDS. Laid out on the Creative Artist Agency's lawn for the event was a simulated surfing ride and skateboard decorating for the older kids, carnival games and bubble machines for tots and musical performances on a main stage for all.
The happy scene seemed worlds away from the AIDS crisis in sub-Saharan Africa, where most of the non-profit's programs are located. But for one celebrity attendee, the cause was deeply personal.

In 2012, viewers of NBC’s hit show "The Voice" heard Jamar Rogers blow the roof off his version of “Seven-Nation Army” by the White Stripes, earning him a spot on judge Cee Lo Green’s team and a journey that took him to semifinalist. Viewers also heard the story of how Rogers rebounded from a longtime crystal-meth addiction and an HIV-positive diagnosis in 2006 to a new life as a pro singer. His brave disclosure made headlines around the world.
But the story the slickly packaged show didn’t have time for was just how the brutal addiction led the 31-year-old belter to getting HIV -- and how, since he tested positive for the virus, he has had to struggle daily to keep drugs out of his starry new life.

The new ‘Voice’ judges get comfortable in these brand-new shots! Do you think they’ll be good fits?
The Voice is going to look a little different when it returns for its fourth season this spring, with Shakira and Usher temporarily replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green as judges — and now, NBC is giving us our first official look at the new recruits! Mom-to-be Shakira, 35, appears cute and relaxed in her seat, while Usher, 34, is striking a slightly more intense pose.
But do their individual postures double as suggestions for what their judging styles will be? We’ll have to wait until The Voice returns for its fourth season March 25 to find out!
The decision to take a hiatus from The Voice wasn’t easy — both Christina and Cee Lo are rumored to be returning for the show’s eventual fifth season — but it was important for them to focus on their solo careers.

I'm not one to gloat or say such things as "I told you so," but I must take this moment to run a victory lap. I had many of naysayers, but in the end, my non-scientific way of collecting data (i.e. my gut instinct) predicted a Cassadee Pope win weeks ago! I mean, I respect Terry McDermott and Nicholas David as much as the next person, but this show was Cassadee's to win. Here were my favorite performances from the finale week:
The Voice Cast, Hallelujah
In wake of the devastating massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary, the entire Voice cast (Christina Milian and Carson Daly included) sang a moving tribute. Standing behind a row of candles, each cast member held a placard with the name and age of each victim. It was emotional, haunting and beautiful.

Plus, the former 'Voice' finalist gives HollywoodLife.com inside scoop on Cee Lo Green's Christmas special, airing Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. on TV Guide Network. Jamar Rogers' days of battling on The Voice stage may be over, but his own voice is still going strong — stronger than ever, in fact. The season two finalist is preparing for the Dec. 4 release of his debut single "High," a taste of his first album, which hits shelves in Feb. 2013. But first, you can catch him Nov. 30 on Cee Lo Green's Christmas special, Cee Lo's Magic Moment, along with a few felt-skinned friends he's been waiting his whole life to meet. HollywoodLife.com chatted with Jamar about his new music, his recent photo shoot for Adam Bouska's NOH8 campaign, and the weirdest part about working with the Muppets: Congratulations in advance for your new single. The results are in! "The Voice" eliminated two more contestants: Dez Duron of Team Christina and Cody Belew of Team Cee Lo.
The Top 6 are: Cassadee Pope and Terry McDermott (Team Blake); Melanie Martinez and Amanda Brown (Team Adam); and Nicholas David (and his bun) and Trevin Hunte (Team Cee Lo).
With Dez's elimination, Christina Aguilera no longer has any contestants in the running to win Season 3 of "The Voice."
The real treat of the night was Cee Lo Green bringing together his teams from three seasons to perform his song "All I Need Is Love" with the Muppets. Vicci Martinez, Tony Vincent, Nakia, Jamar Rogers, MacKenzie Bourg, and more sang with Cee Lo in Las Vegas and then Kermit and Cee Lo -- clad in a mirrored green ensemble (hat included) -- sang "It's Not Easy Being Green." It brought Fozzie to tears.

Before the competition begins on "The Voice," Carson transforms into Olmec to let us know that, "The choices are yours and yours alone." Going forward, only America's votes matter --no more steals, no more saves. Each week, two contestants will be eliminated -- after this week, we'll have the Top 10, then the Top 8 and so on. Thank God people like Jamar Rogers won't be leaving early just because Cee Lo has a thing for Juliette Simms.
Since we didn't get to discuss it last week, we don't know what the $#%& happened to Team Christina, but we're devastated over the loss of De'Borah and hope XTeena's competitors go out first and fast. It was inevitable that Cody or MacKenzie would leave Team Cee Lo and we would have been happy for either of them. It's also nice to know America recognizes how amazingly talented Nicholas David is.
Anyway, on to this week.

NBC's The Voice, in my humble opinion, features the best unknown and relatively unknown singers on television. I don't say this just because I'm a former contestant (I'm also a former contestant on that other singing show, but that's a different blog for a different day). I say it because the talent this season is so undeniable. Even the hopefuls that are unfortunate enough not to make a team are way better than some of the finalists on other shows. Christina Aguilera and her fans in the crowd are becoming more and more difficult to deal with on The Voice, but it's worth suffering through to get to fantastic performances like we saw on this week's Semifinals.
Seriously, I'm not sure which is worse, the fans that repeatedly scream out that they love Christina, or the pop queen responding to them every single time. It was more than that, though, this week. Christina was taking every opportunity to show her pipes, get up on stage to show her booty and make every contestant's performance about her. At first it was a bit entertaining, but now it's just getting annoying.
There were some great performances, too, making it even more of a shame Christina was too busy to notice them. Let's take a look at all that went down on The Voice's Semifinals...

Now that I've gathered all my tweets about The Voice, loaded them into a cannon, and fired them at joyless time-waster Christina Milian, let's criticize Teams Cee-Lo and Adam Levine like the withering warblers they are. Everything from Vertical Horizon to Natalie Imbruglia was moody, gray-sky pop, and Bon Jovi's "It's My Life" sticks out for me as a sprawling cirrus cloud from that era. As such, Jamar Rogers' adequate vocal served the song well, but that's like saying he came prepared with an umbrella for a light drizzle. He handled the job, but the job was a...

“Team Cee Lo is where it’s at,” declared rival coach Christina Aguilera, midway through this week’s quarterfinal round of The Voice. This in spite of the fact that the cat-stroking, pajama-wearing Gnarls Barkley frontman kicked off the episode with a fit of flatulence that had Xtina, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton alternating between giggles and gags.
And yet while the sweet smell of success clung to Team Cee Lo by episode’s end, it was stench of fading fortunes that lingered in the wake of Team Adam. Is it too late to ask producers to allow the top...

"The Voice" kicked off this week which a serious case of the giggles and what was to come was easily the most bizarre episode of this show ever. And that includes Cee Lo's wig, his group trip to the massage parlor and his serious fauxhawks.
Initially, we're not sure why the coadges are all fighting back laughter. But once we learn, we wish we had stayed uncertain. Turns out, Cee Lo is having some gas issues.
As irritable father figure Carson tells the coadges, "Let's focus here," Christina says, "Why do you think I got this fan?" Luckily for the pop star, she has a paper fan, while Cee Lo has a mini battery-operated one. Unfortunately, no one has that one you can get in Disney World that's a bottle with a fan head because clearly they're the coolest.

Anyway, as Carson says, "Let's focus." Christina tries to turn the...

Adam Levine and Blake Shelton may have been the co-winners of the battle to deliver the best one-liner on this week’s episode of The Voice, but in a surprise turn of events, they lost the war of taking home Most Valuable Judge trophy to Christina Aguilera.
Oh, sure, Blake’s “I almost threw my panties on the stage” was a priceless response to James Massone’s lady-baiting rendition of “Don’t Know Why.” And Adam hit the bullseye poking fun at Blake’s consternation over a group of shirtless male backup dancers: ”I think that Blake just bought a one-way ticket to Boner Town.

Have you noticed yourself fast-forwarding through Adam Levine's critiques on The Voice and waiting patiently for Christina Aguilera to speak? Have you noticed that's an absolutely insane scenario? Because I'm doing it too. And I'm scared.
Christina Aguilera has become the show's least sympathetic and/or sentimental panelist. She's thoroughly genuine, and even if she doesn't reach the caliber of my favorite 10 reality judges, she's exactly what The Voice needs: unflinching truth-telling. I hope she keeps it up in the weeks to come. Not just because it's entertaining (How about when she smacked Down her former Mousketeer buddy Tony Lucca?), but because it heightens the show's stakes. Fear this dirrty, caterwauling diva, contestants.
The Voice's second week of live rounds proved to be a mixed bag ranging from towering renditions of rock classics to meek attempts at dated pop songs. Let's invade and grade 'em all.

NBC “The Voice.”
Tonight, Team Adam and Team Cee Lo faced off in the second week of live performances. Just like last week, each team’s six members performed for their chance to move on to the next round, with the team’s worst three battling it out for survival tomorrow night.
Performer: Katrina Parker
Team: Adam
Song: “Tonight, Tonight” by Smashing Pumpkins
Katrina’s gift is also her curse. Her look and more importantly her voice is a dead ringer for Adele,...

Battle Rounds of The Voice reached a high this week as the best of the best in this competition went head to head as well as the best of the best against the hopeless. What an intense battle. Last week was a breeze compared to this week. Live shows are going to wreck the phone lines this year. This talent is truly out of this world. If you’re not watching The Voice, catch up as soon as possible and thank us all later. This is where the entertainment is at!
Team Christina is shaping out to be quite a fierce one… but we all knew that it would. In this week’s episode,
Geoff McBride met the end of his fate after battling it out with Sera Hill, singing “Chain of Fools.” After winning Christina Aguilera over during the blind auditions, Sera Hill was going to make it to...

There were so many impossible matchups on this week’s Voice “Battle Rounds,” with our four coaches selecting some of their most-promising acts for head-to-head vocal duels, that I half-wondered if other painful choices were imminent: Cut either crazy Cee Lo or his ridiculous fluffy cat. Pledge allegiance to Adam and his comfy sweater (somebody tell me they sell it at Target!) or Blake and his Hank Hill drawl. Join #TeamXtina’sLeftBreast or #TeamXtina’sRightBreast.
It didn’t have to be this way, of course. I mean, why did Blake have to pit Charlotte Sometimes against Lex Land just because both ladies have sultry-eerie voices?...

For Team Cee Lo's battles on Monday night's (March 12) episode of the "The Voice," Jamar Rogers and Jamie Lono faced off on Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is," which we are not ashamed to admit is one of our favorite power ballads. We also can't help but be rooting for Jamar - we remember how great he was on "American Idol" three years ago.
Remember his group performance with Danny Gokey? They did "Somebody to Love" in what was possibly the best group performance of the season. Jamar didn't advance, but he did return in Season 9, only to drop out of the competition to pursue music his own way.
So who sang it better between Jamar and Jamie? Blake said that he loved Jamie's vibe, but the other judges were more complimentary of Jamar - Adam Levine even points out that Cee Lo was the only judge who...

Granted, there was no Jesse Campbell vs. Anthony Evans showdown this week. But Part Two of The Voice's Battle Round was filled with a number of good performers taking each other on in the ring.
If there is any reason for concern at this point in the competition, it is definitely that the coaches don't have as much opportunity to shine during the Battle Rounds. There just isn't enough time for Blake to crack a million jokes, and for Adam to gloat about winning season one when there is all this talent to showcase on stage. Let's take a look at said talent in this week's Battle Round...

That was fun. After four weeks, five episodes and nine hours, The Voice has completed its season two Blind Auditions, and it was certainly a pleasant change from the bore fest that has become of other singing competitions.
Each coach rounded out his/her respective team, but Blake Shelton did it with the most style this week. Whether it was a joke about murdering Christina, or one about wanting Adam Levine in a sexual way, the country star had me laughing out loud on a number of occasions.
Check out our The Voice quotes page for all of Blake and the others' quips from the Blind Auditions.
Now let's take a look at the four teams, and who they added in the final round. We will start with the defending champion, who also had the best success rate when hitting his button this season.
If only Orlando Napier loses the hat,...

The Voice scored twin victories Sunday night: Becoming the highest-rated entertainment program in six years (with an average 37.6 million viewers) and avoiding FCC penalties when Christina Aguilera’s plunging neckline miraculaously hung on to her heaving cleavage like Mario Manningham clutching that football for a 38-yard catch during Super Bowl Xlvi. (Whew, and whew.)
And so it was up to Monday’s Voice telecast — the first in its regular timeslot, and without any help from the nation’s biggest sporting event — to keep the momentum going (creatively speaking, at least).

Judges Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green kick off second episode with a Prince medley.

The blind auditions continued on Monday night's (February 6) two-hour episode of "The Voice," with each judge picking up two more contestants to fill out the 12-person teams they'll take to the battle phase later in the season.
The episode opened with a flashy medley of Prince hits "1999," "Little Red Corvette" and "Kiss" performed by judges Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, before the crew got right to business with the auditions.

Aguilera picked up two acts, including the evening's first performers: platonic duo the Line. The pair's rendition of Tom Petty's "American Girl" got all four judges' attention, but despite much protest from Shelton, they picked Aguilera. Shelton later told the camera he...

After eliminating roughly half of the 327 contestants the first two days of Hollywood Week, "American Idol" is back with the dreaded Group Day, which is one of our favorite parts of the entire show. There are always so many tears and meltdowns, but there are also some amazing performances that come out of it -- remember Danny Gokey and Jamar Rogers group from two years ago? I still remember how good they were.
Also - I realize how stupid it is to make solo artists perform in groups, but I don't care. Group Day is awesome.
Since there were two days of first-round eliminations, a bunch of day one kids had already formed groups and were thinking they were ahead of the game. But then producer Ken Warwick drops the bomb that the groups have to include a mixture of both days' contestants, because that's only fair for the day two kids.
