Known in some circles as the “fan favorite” award, the title of Miss Congeniality on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is a prize handed out to the queen most representative of kindness and for having strong sisterly bonds with the other girls. Up until Season 10, the award was voted on by the audience, but has since been selected by the cast of queens themselves, and is buttressed by a cash prize that has ranged from $1,500 to $10,000. There have been 14 queens awarded the title so far, nine of whom have returned to compete at least one more time, and on April 14, 2023 the next recipient will be announced at the Season 15 “Grand Finale.” Which “fan favorite” queen is Your all-time fave? Scroll through our gallery above (or click here for direct access) to see photos of the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Miss Congeniality winners.

In every grand finale of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” not one but two crowns are bestowed: one to the ultimate winner (chosen by host RuPaul Charles) and one to Miss Congeniality (chosen by her fellow queens). All week long, “Drag Race” viewers at Gold Derby have been predicting who they think will become Miss Congeniality for Season 15, and things are looking strong for Salina EsTitties and Malaysia Babydoll Foxx. Both of these eliminated queens made their mark during their time on MTV’s reality TV show and would be welcome additions to future “All-Stars” seasons.

Manila Luzon (a.k.a. Karl Westerberg) is one of the most ferocious queens in RuPaul's Drag Race history, and it's no surprise that the season-three alum made the roster for RuPaul's All Star Drag Race, which airs its third episode Monday night. Paired with Latrice Royale, Manila slayed during last week's comedy challenge with a thunderous impersonation of Madonna that completely outclassed the rest of the competition (even if Yara Sofia and Alexis Mateo took the win). And if I do say so myself, Manila has the coolest drag name in the history of the show. What two words better proclaim "Filipina pride"?
While the competition is certainly a lot of fun, it's difficult to watch without thinking about Manila's gorgeous partner and fellow Drag Race veteran Sahara Davenport (a.k.a. Antoine Ashley), who passed away last month due to heart failure at the age of 27. The...

Before Hurricane Sandy was even a contender, RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars got some of the show's most popular drag queens together at Xl Nightclub in order to determine who was the fiercest bitch of them all. (The second episode of the new season airs tonight, assuming you still have cable/power.) Watch Julie Klausner interview Yara Sofia, Pandora Boxx, Tammie Brown, Latrice Royale, and more all-star divas about important issues of the day, like who served more shade in the presidential debates and which queens they would cast in an all-drag remake of Hocus Pocus.

From season one, Nina Flowers, Tammie Brown, and Shannel are returning; season two alums include Pandora Boxx, Jujubee, and Raven; season three is sending Manila Luzon, Mimi Imfurst, Alexis Mateo, and Yara Sofia; and Chad Michaels and Latrice Royale are coming back from the most recent season. RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars - Are These Queens Your All-Stars? Update: Yes They Are!
Uh oh... Is there a leak in the RuPaul's Drag Race camp? Or a strategically placed (yet glamorous) red-herring?
While catching up on my Facebook newsfeed, I came across a post from a group called RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars Fans that featured a picture of all twelve contestants who will appear on the show. While there is a lot to get excited for, the official announcement was scheduled to be revealed tomorrow after the season finale of RuPaul's Drag U. So before I give you reasons why this "leak" is a tad bit suspicious, here are your "alleged" queens of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars!
From Season One: Tammie Brown, Shannel, and Nina Flowers
From Season Two: Pandora Boxx, JuJubee, and Raven

You might remember the glorious Shangela Laquifa Wadley stomping it out on RuPaul's Drag Race Seasons Two and Three. And while she might not have taken home the prize in either season, she could well turn out to be the show's biggest star.
The actor behind this amazing drag creation, D.J. Pierce, has been busy filming TV pilots and guest spots, honing his stand-up act and launching a music career. He will also make an appearance this Wednesday on TLC's Toddlers & Tiaras, returning to his hometown of Paris, Texas to act as pageant coach for his goddaughter.
We were happy to grab D.J. for a photo shoot last week, as well as an extended interview where we talked acting gigs, vision boards, his relationship with fellow Drag Race contestants Raja and Manila Luzon,...

RuPaul crowned Raja America’s Next Drag Superstar one week ago, and last night found Ru bringing the season’s 13 queens back together for the requisite reunion. “Tonight on RuPaul’s Drag Race: Reunited!” our palatable host thundered at the beginning of the episode, “our 13 drag warriors return to battle it out, set the record straight, and let each other have it.” Or to get more to the point, Ru added: “The Drag Race may be over, but the real drama is just getting started.” It was an often funny, not-too-heated hour that found the queens bringing some realness...

That “pppllllffftt” sound you hear is one of two things: The air quickly draining out of this third (and borderline interminable) season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, or me making a raspberry sound to underscore my feelings about a generally uninspiring final three.
Indeed, on Monday night’s show we bid echa pa’lante to kooky bundle of energy Yara Sofia, who had a full scale stripping-and-sobbing meltdown while lipsynching for her life to the tune of Patti Labelle’s “I Think About You.” That leaves us with three QWIs — queens with issues — left in the running to become America’s next drag superstar.

We all have regrets in this life. If I could have a do-over, I'd write about RuPaul's Drag Race more. I've been watching diligently, but keeping my obsession relatively under wraps while writing about more mainstream fare like The Bachelor. But last night, while watching the final four go through their toughest challenge yet, only to see an exhausted Yara Sofia collapse in tears during the Lipsync for Your Life (watch the full episode here if you haven't already), it hit me: I love these girls so much, and I only get One More Week with them! (Not counting next week's clip show, that is.)
But it's not too late for us to show our love for Ru's final three dolls, and make our predictions for who will take it all home! And three oh-so-fierce finalists they are:...

Just about two and a half months ago, 13 drag queens began the Race to become America’s Next Drag Superstar. And over 11 episodes, we watched as the bewigged ranks lost all of the exciting big girls from this season and, last week, were pared down to just four glamorous contestants: Puerto Rican wacko Yara Sofia; the curvy (and also Puerto Rican) Alexis Mateo; the sassy Filipino Manila Luzon; and the ever-exotic Raja. Last night, we watched as — Spoiler Alert — Yara Sofia bit the dust (remember, she was saved before!), revealing a finale-competing trio of Alexis, Manila, and Raja. (See: the...

James Van Der Beek hosted (and yes, there were some great self-referential Dawson’s Creek jokey moments and a quip about “Are these the 2001 NewNowNext Awards?”) and he was pretty freakin’ great at it. Sorry, Franco… There’s a new (now/next) go-to awards show host in town, and he brings a wide range of emotions to the table.

Monday night’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race brought the unwelcome and moderately baffling return of pretty/dull Carmen Carrera, who was chosen by Michelle, Santino, and Billy B to get a second chance at the Season 3 title. It didn’t take long, though, for the skin-baring beauty to torpedo her own chances; when the queens were asked to transform straight jocks into dragtastic “sisters,” Carmen chose bedazzled bikinis that displayed her best assets, and left “Lolita” looking like a burly dude in a two-piece. Let’s recap the action via jaunty screengrab.

“Hair today, gone tomorrow…” Yes, dears. That was last night’s story for one of the most controversial, beloved, discussed and debated divas of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 3. One moment, your wig is flying high and tight, and then next it’s on the stage floor and you’re heading to the work room to pack up your hot rollers.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. It was very “Hair Wars” up in here this week, as the wig-based challenges awaiting our Top 5 queens were a tangled mess. First, it was very much an “Enchantment Under the Sea” prom-theme meets Wigstock as the gals had to create haute headgear out of stuff you’d find washed up on a gay beach. (Strangely, no syringes!)
Later RuPaul, the queen of big wiggery, assigned them all the task using hairstyles as the basis for three runway looks. And they...

The constant bitchiness of drag queens never ceases to amaze me. It was but a few minutes into last night’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race that found the increasingly nasty Manila Luzon sniping about last week’s sashayer Carmen Carrera: “In the workroom today, there’s a huge, huge void,” Manila started, sounding like she was going to lament Carmen’s exit. But then she brought it home: “That used to be taken up by Carmen’s giant a–.” Zing! Yes, and we’re off at the Race.

The legendary Miss Jody Watley and Carmen Electra popped up as guest judges on a lively episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race on Monday that also served as a nice promo reel for the titular dragster’s music catalog. The queens played a round of “RuSical Chairs,” then headed to the studio to cut renditions of Ru’s “Superstar” from one of six predetermined styles: reggae, hip-hop, country, disco, punk, and pop. Below, a recap using the time-honored art of the screengrab.

On Monday night’s edition of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the six remaining queens shot patriotic PSAs for the troops — though I’m not sure which military base has a drag-friendly policy! — but most of the gals faltered in at least one of the three crucial areas: Fashion, comedy, and/or heart. I suppose Alexis Mateo’s campy polyester pantsuit and “Bam! Bam!” dancing shtick was moderately entertaining, but I couldn’t get what had Ru and Ms. Visage doubled over with laughter. With no clear winner, and with front-runners Raja and Shangela both flirting with the bottom two, Ru...

Week ago, I was obsessed with Raja. Then I fell for Stacy Layne. Last week, I was reals into Shangela! And now, after last night’s delightful, patriotic-themed episode, I found myself falling for the charming Alexis Mateo, who I previously hadn’t been that into so far this season. After loving on all these different gals over the past few weeks, I feel like a Drag Race slut.

On tonight’s episode of reality delight RuPaul’s Drag Race, the queens will be supporting the troops during the main challenge by each filming a PSA. EW has obtained an exclusive video previewing the PSAs, which as you might guess are rather hilarious. “This is the only land,” screeches Alexis Mateo, “where you can grow up and become whatever you want to be!” Raja adds: “America: Where the son of immigrants can wear her freedom…proudly.” And the always-nutty Yara Sofia weighs in at one point with a twist on RuPaul’s classic episode-ending line: “If you don’t love America,...

Monday night on RuPaul’s Drag Race, the queens brought out their best stand-up routines. Shangela reigned triumphant by concocting a character that blended pimp and ho into one delectably raucous package. (“They say, ‘Laqueefa, where your ho’s at?’ I say, ‘B****, don’t you see I’m wearing four pair of hose right here holding back my [bleep]?!’”) Manila Luzon fell flat by digging in the mothballs for some jokes about the gay subtext of PBS’ children’s programming. But it was Delta Work who was (rightfully) sent packing after making some thuddingly awful rape jokes that produced the...

When RuPaul brought last season’s first cast-off, Shangela Laquifa Wadley, back into the Drag Race fold in this season’s premiere episode, no one, least of all me, had too high of hopes for the queen. There was a collective “why” from the Drag Race-watching community. We’d seen the woefully under-prepared Shangela peter out and generally be annoying last season — and as I just mentioned, she managed to squash any goodwill she had in just one measly episode.
But somewhere during the current season, surprisingly, Shangela turned into a drag force to be reckoned with. That infectiousness...

This week, the queens were asked to divvie up into two teams and produce competing morning news programs.
