In their recap of episode 14, Raja and Bianca agree that Anetra is a threat to Sasha Colby‘s chance at winning. Raja goes as far to say that Anetra is Sasha’s “only threat.” Despite seeing them as the only ones with a chance to win, Raja says that they are a great final four because they’re “very all powerful in their own way” because of their abilities and stories. Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 15 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s thirteenth episode, Naomi Smalls returns to the recap show as a two-time makeover challenge winner herself. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of episode 13, both Naomi and Bianca say that they expected one of the twins to make the top five instead of the five that actually made it to this episode. Naomi said that Sugar is great at comedic timing, but Spice is more polished in her looks and so either could have been the one to make it this far. Like other queens before her, Naomi also took offense to queens like Luxx Noir London and Loosey Laduca being so pressed about their placements, especially Loosey trying to count mini challenge wins in her record.

Following Friday’s twelfth episode, Laganja Estranja and Bianca start a rumor about a never-aired lip sync between the two of them on season 6, among other things. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of episode 12, Laganja names Mistress Isabelle Brooks and Luxx Noir London as her two faves of the season, though she likes all of the top six. Bianca liked that for once her guest didn’t name Sasha Colby as her favorite, though admittedly they both are rooting for her. One thing Laganja and Bianca are tired of hearing from the girls is their “in my __ era” tag line that they say has been run in to the ground by this point. On that topic,...

Thomas Q. Jones (Luke Cage) is set to recur opposite Brandee Evans and Nicco Annan in Starz’s P-Valley, Katori Hall’s strip club drama based on her play Pussy Valley. Created by Hall, who also showruns, the drama is set deep in the Mississippi Delta, where lies an oasis of grit and glitter in a rough patch of human existence where beauty can be hard to find. The Southern-fried hourlong drama tells the kaleidoscopic story of a little-strip-club-that-could and the big characters who come through its doors: the hopeful, the lost, the broken, the ballers, the beautiful, and the damned. Jones will play Mane, a round-the-way dude who’s always got a couple of scams cooking. He’s gorgeous, sly, charming, and country to the core. Jones, a former NFL Pro Bowl running back, played the role of Comanche in an eight-episode arc on Marvel’s Luke Cage. He...

The Wiz Live! took fans back to Oz and took over Twitter Thursday night.
NBC's live musical featured newcomer Shanice Williams as Dorothy, and despite rave reviews for performance, there was one key component missing from most of the production: Toto! The canine favorite, played by a pair of adorable rescue dogs, appeared in the opening segment (as well as the end), but did not follow Dorothy to Oz – causing plenty of Twitter users to express their concern for the pooch. It's worth noting that in the original Broadway version of The Wiz, Toto did not make the journey to Oz either.

"RuPaul's Drag Race" is coming back March 2 with a judging panel consisting of veterans RuPaul and Michelle Visage and newcomers Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews. Exciting! Personally I will miss Santino Rice's snarly angst, but he's had a good run. More exciting: The announced guest judges this season are pretty thrilling. Kathy Griffin is back along with Olivia Newton-John, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, and John Waters. Pretty damn smashing. But before season seven gets under way, let's make sure to proclaim which celebrities Still need to join RuPaul and criticize the fabulous dames of his runway. 1. Tim Gunn Here's my problem with Tim Gunn on "Project Runway": I truly believe he is holding back. He comes from a distinguished academic background and taught at Parsons for years. He knows biting, incisive criticism. Not that he goes easy on "Project Runway" contestants, but he could certainly be grimmer and more subversive.

"The Six Million Dollar Man" isn't cool. You know what's cool? "The Six Billion Dollar Man." That's right, the '70s series adaptation is getting a title boost via inflation as the long-brewing project moves ahead with Peter Berg attached to direct his "Lone Survivor" star Mark Wahlberg. With super-human power, he becomes a force to be reckoned with for the government as a secret agent for the Office of Scientific Intelligence." Production begins next year for a 2016 release. Shante, you slay.
We're nearing the end of RuPaul's Drag Race's fifth season, and that means it's time to make an important list: the 10 funniest queens in the show's history. In an age when people like Vivienne Pinay and Ivy Winters insist that fishiness is more important than comic chops, we need to fight back. I watch this show for unbridled sauciness, wit, and unapologetic humor, and these ten queens all boasted fine gut-busting instincts.
10. Detox
I have to be honest: I nearly gave this spot to Tatianna, whose performance as Britney Spears remains Snatch Game's most hilarious triumph, but Detox is truly the funnier performer. Her wise-ass commentaries, chicken fierceness, amazing side-eye, jaw-wagging lip-sync skills, and general weariness of everything are total treats. She'd probably laugh more at herself if her facial muscles were capable of abject glee. I'm always waiting to hear her next confessional, particularly after...

Wuh-oh. Looks like a few of our favorite could-be-homosexuals tripped in their character shoes this week.
The catalog of Lennon and McCartney provides ample opportunity for Idol singers to prove they can do artistic things like warble the lyrics to "Come Together" with a straight face or care about the plight of Father McKenzie. Please! Paul Jolley don't have time for that! He's too busy "woodshedding" with my boy Devin, hopefully.
How did the kids do this week? Let's rank the rubber-souled scamps from #9 to #1.
9. Lazaro Arbos, "In My Life"
Well, my prophecy is coming true: The worse Lazaro does, the more gorgeous he gets. And this week he was absolutely terrible/stunning! Wearing a primary yellow blazer that Samantha Jones might bring to a business-casual orgy, Lazaro took to the stage with those trembling, all-too-wet pupils and basically murmur-whispered "In My Life" in a funereal drone. God, I love this part of American Idol. I love spending two hours on a weeknight exalting young chanteuses like mall-brand Aphrodites and sentencing losers to an eternity in Jimmy Iovine's jean-jacket dungeon. That's quality time with the TV for me.
We saw ten ladies trill for the attention of the increasingly articulate judges on Wednesday, and five of them were booted before the night was over. So satisfying! Take your Charlotte Russe stylings and head back to Branson, losers. You can pick up that extra shift at Dave & Buster's after all.
Now, some general advice for the competing ten women we saw on Wednesday: Matter more. I'm blown away by anybody who seeks a career in entertainment and expects to be applauded for sheer technical skill. You also need to be special, and being special has to matter to you. Have you heard of Madonna? She mattered (and...

Meryl Streep has donated $1 million to New York Public Theater in honor of founder Joe Papp and her friend and frequent collaborator Nora Ephron.
True Blood has sent out a casting notice for Ben, "an 'ultra charming, ultra handsome' fella in his late 20s/early 30s who is magnetic to women and menfolk alike, all while using his Southern gentility to mask a dark, dark, darrrrrk side."
My friend Jody has launched an Indiegogo campaign for Bent-Con, the December gathering or queer, nerdy creators taking place in Burbank that will host the likes of Jane Espenson and more. Since they're a non-profit, all donations to make this their biggest event yet will be tax deductible.
Hungry Hungry Hippos will be turned into an animated children's movie, but like the folks at Vulture, I'd prefer to see a horror film.

Last month we got to see the first photo from The Butler showcasing Forest Whitaker silhouetted in his butler attire. Today, thanks to Oprah’s Twitter, we get to see more characters in costume. This time it’s the Reagans, who are being played by Alan Rickman and Jane Fonda.
The first photo Oprah posted featured her and Lenny Kravitz in their aged makeup, preparing for a ’80s white house scene. Then a few minutes later she posted an even more exciting photo, showing her with director Lee Daniels, Rickman, and Fonda.
Fonda looks very much like Nancy, but I’m most impressed by Rickman. I’ve been excited to see him in this role since he was announced, and getting to see him in costume, looking almost like a photo of the 40th president, would be enough to make me mark this down as a definite must-see.

Straight from the New Orleans shoot of The Butler, Showblitz provides us with our first glimpse at Forest Whitaker as Eugene Allen, the White House servant who worked for eight First Families.
Granted, we don’t get to see much of Whitaker, considering it’s only a profile shot and he’s almost completely silhouetted, but it’s still a great photo and it’s exciting to finally get a look at this film.
Director Lee Daniels has put together one hell of an ensemble cast for this one. The presidents alone are amazing: John Cusack as Nixon, Liev Schreiber as Lyndon B. Johnson, Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan, James Marsden as JFK, and Robin Williams as Dwight Eisenhower. I’d be excited to see every one of those actors portray those presidents in individual films. Getting to see them all together in one movie will just be overwhelmingly awesome.

Liev Schreiber is the newest addition to The Butler, as Deadline reports that the actor will portray Lyndon B. Johnson in the upcoming historical drama. The Lee Daniels film will tell the true story of White House attendant Eugene Allen (Forest Whitaker), whose career spanned eight presidents, from 1952 to 1986.
The ensemble cast that Daniels has put together for this film is staggering and wildly impressive. We have Alan Rickman as Reagan, John Cusack as Nixon, Robin Williams as Eisenhower and James Marsden as JFK, but that’s just the Presidents.
The rest of the cast includes Melissa Leo (Mamie Eisenhower), Minka Kelly (Jackie Kennedy), Mariah Carey, David Oyelowo, Vanessa Redgrave, Alex Pettyfer, Yaya DaCosta, Elijah Kelly and Jesse Williams. Impressed yet?
As for Schreiber, he’s an interesting choice for Lbj. He looks similar enough to Johnson and with some make-up and the right wardrobe he will appear believable. He’s usually pretty dependable too,...

Given how many years his latest project – true-life White House tale The Butler – covers, it’s perhaps not surprising that Precious director Lee Daniels has recruited a massive cast to play the many parts in the film. He’s just rounded up one more, as Liev Schreiber is playing President Lyndon B Johnson. The focus of the movie is, not surprisingly, a butler (Forest Whitaker) who worked in the world’s most famous address for decades, supporting eight Presidents and their families.Schreiber is taking on the role of Johnson – president between 1963 and 1969 – instead of Liam Neeson, who had been strongly tipped for it. He’s joining a cast that includes Oprah Winfrey (as Whitaker’s wife), David Oyelowo (as his son), John Cusack (Richard Nixon), Alan Rickman (Ronald Reagan), Jane Fonda (Nancy Reagan), James Marsden (JFK), Minka Kelly (Jackie Kennedy), Robin Williams (Dwight D Eisenhower) Melissa Leo (Mamie Eisenhower...

Liev Schreiber will play President Lyndon B Johnson in The Butler, the Lee Daniels-directed film about the life of Eugene Allen, a White House servant who worked for eight First Families. The film also stars Robin Williams (as President Dwight D. Eisenhower), Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey and David Oyelowo, as well as John Cusack, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan and recently added cast members Melissa Leo (Mamie Eisenhower), James Marsden (JFK), Minka Kelly (Jackie Kennedy), Mariah Carey, Vanessa Redgrave, Alex Pettyfer, Yaya DaCosta, Elijah Kelly and Jesse Williams. Danny Strong wrote the script with Daniels, based on Wil Haygood’s Washington Post article about Allen. Daniels will produce with Hilary Shor, Cassian Elwes and Pam Williams of Laura Ziskin Prods. The music is being composed by Quincy Jones. Schreiber is repped by Untitled and CAA.

One of the reasons World War II is called the last good war is that the stakes were clear and unambiguous. Those years spawned countless stories of heroism, sacrifice, and loss that never cease to fascinate subsequent generations. Some movies have gone to great lengths to recreate what the horrors of war must have been like while others go for a different approach, going for a stark contrast to exemplify the acts of one or a few. The pilots resulting from the Tuskegee training program deserve proper treatment in mass media of their experiences.
It was long known that this was a passion project for filmmaker George Lucas, who has been discussing making this story for over 20 years. Not surprisingly, the bean counters at the studios balked at an all-Black film fearing it wouldn’t play well domestically and fare even worse overseas. Thankfully, Star Wars made Lucas a wealthy...

It frightens me to think about American Idol contestants and their "heroes." Can't you imagine a youngster like Joshua Ledet swooning over The Pussycat Dolls and claiming he's listened to them since he was three? "My momma would tuck me in and sing 'Stickwitu' until I fell asleep! That's why I understand Soul!" Can't you picture Skylar Laine raising a Playskool lighter to the sky and proclaiming her undying devotion to Lady Antebellum? Can't you picture Hollie Cavanagh gloating over her love of... Lady Antebellum? Look, I was really scared that Lady Antebellum was going to come up. But it didn't. Phew. Still, some of the contestants' actual choices weren't much better -- even if most performances this week were really-effing-great.
And speaking of effing: If I were on Idol, I'd have chosen "F*ck and Run" by Liz Phair for Hero Week, because 1) I am a cunning homosexual who...

“Are you ready to be the baddest b—- in school? Class is in session!” That’s right, last night was the season 2 premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race spin-off RuPaul’s Drag U, where a bevy of Drag Race queens take dumpy straight women and make them over into glamorous…drag queens! It all takes place at a school somewhere “deep in the Lake Titty-Caca Valley,” as host RuPaul says in the hilarious opening credits. I can’t help but smile every time I hear him intone the words “Lake Titty-Caca Valley.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race aired its final episode of season 3 last week, but that doesn’t mean that you have too long for more queens on Logo. No, silly, the reality show’s spin-off, RuPaul’s Drag U — the series that finds Drag Race alums making over what RuPaul refers to as “biological women” — returns for 10 brand-new episodes on June 20 at 9 p.m., and EW has exclusively learned the list of luminaries serving as guest judges this coming season. As you can see from the photo here, Glee’s Dot Jones — who plays fan-favorite Coach Beiste and is pictured with...

RuPaul crowned Raja America’s Next Drag Superstar one week ago, and last night found Ru bringing the season’s 13 queens back together for the requisite reunion. “Tonight on RuPaul’s Drag Race: Reunited!” our palatable host thundered at the beginning of the episode, “our 13 drag warriors return to battle it out, set the record straight, and let each other have it.” Or to get more to the point, Ru added: “The Drag Race may be over, but the real drama is just getting started.” It was an often funny, not-too-heated hour that found the queens bringing some realness...

Last night Logo (AfterElton.com's parent company) celebrated its big, fun, fancy, silly NewNowNext Awards at The Avalon in Hollywood (watch this Monday on Logo at 10pm Et), and in addition to serving up some sassy awards to some pretty fabulous folks, the event was a great big party. James Van Der Beek hosted (and yes, there were some great self-referential Dawson’s Creek jokey moments and a quip about “Are these the 2001 NewNowNext Awards?”) and he was pretty freakin’ great at it. Sorry, Franco… There’s a new (now/next) go-to awards show host in town, and he brings a wide range of emotions to the table.
The show featured blistering kickass musical performances by Robyn (she debuted a new song “Call Your Girlfriend!”), Wynter Gordon, Oh Land and Panic! at the Disco, and some hot onstage moments by the stunning Joe Manganiello from True Blood,...

At the end of last week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Ru announced that she was giving the judges a chance to bring back queens that they felt had been axed too soon, so I ran a poll in my post about the episode, asking: “Which queen should return to RuPaul’s Drag Race next week?”
When I last checked the results, Shangela (33 percent), Delta Work (26 percent), and Mariah (12 percent) were leading the way. And somehow, Carmen wasn’t a option in the poll (sorry, maybe that was a subliminal mistake that adds up to who I didn’t want to see back?...

If you’ve not noticed by now, I may or may not be in need of some serious Ru-hab, but I can’t help it as RuPaul’s Drag Race has spent its third season being as campy and fantastic as you might it expect it to be. However, the last few weeks have thrown some serious curveballs into the proceedings and we’ve been hovering around the top six for what seems like a good minute. After there was a non-elimination episode (Ru love America and America loves opportunities) that was followed by the elimination of polarizing second timer Shangela, we got a bombshell.
Somebody’s. coming. back.
Yes, Mama Ru has been hearing how people think she sends some of her queens home too soon, so one of the previously eliminated queens will be coming back into the house to join Raja, Manila, Yara, and Alexis in the top five.

It’s been about a month or so since I wrote about season 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, a zany, deliciously campy bit of reality goodness that is one of the highlights of my TV week. In said piece, I gave some thoughts on the remaining contestants and a few predictions over who I thought would leave and when. I figured since we’re getting down to the nitty gritty, as tonight will leave us with a final five, it might be time to revisit my thoughts and see how they’re working out.
I’ve been mostly right about the elimination order, which was a nice surprise. In the first episode after I published, the gorgeous Mariah flubbed her impersonation of Joan Crawford during an already underwhelming episode of Snatch Game and then couldn’t remember a word to Jody Watley’s “Lookin’ For a New Love” (c’mon,...

It was a celebrity free-for-all on Monday's (Feb. 21) "RuPaul's Drag Race" when the queens had to assume the position of some of our favorite stars.
Before we get to that, RuPaul played a game of "$#*! RuPaul Says." The winning queen would get a phone call. The game could only be explained as "Wheel of Fortune" on crack. In the end, Delta turned it out for a win. But how could she fully enjoy the prize with Shangela pouting in the corner, her fro, with a life of its own, all frayed and looking crazy. So, Delta gave the phone call to Shangela and all was well in RuVille for a hot second.

Last year on RuPaul’s Drag Race, one of the best episodes of the season was when Ru introduced The Snatch Game, a riff on the ’70s and ’80s staple The Match Game. You fans likely remember, but the episode very memorably saw queens like EW fave Pandora Boxx imitate Carol Channing and Tatianna take on Britney Spears. Last night was this year’s edition, and we saw Shangela take on Tina Turner, Delta Work do Cher (kinda poorly), Manila Luzon put on her best Imelda Marcos, Raja channel her inner Tyra Banks, and so on.
