- Greg Farshtey is known for Bionicle: The Legend Reborn (2009), Bionicle: Maze of Shadows (2005) and LEGO Club Show (2010).
- Used to be an active part of the Bionicle fandom on the BZPower forum under the username "GregF" and on LEGO's official message boards under the name "ScribeGT6817". He can't post on BZPower anymore due to LEGO's strict policies regarding its employees talking to children on-line, and the message board was also shut down. However, Greg still talks to fans on special occasions on fansites, with LEGO's approval.
- Greg would at times speak negatively about the original trilogy of direct-to-video Bionicle movies (Bionicle: Mask of Light (2003), Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui (2004) and Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows (2005)). This is mostly because he disagreed with the story developments written by the movies' creator in many places.
- Greg was the most prolific writer of the original Bionicle franchise (2001-2010) by The LEGO Company. He authored all of the comics and wrote all but four of the books, as well as the web serials and some short stories. He is widely credited with helping to turn the franchise from a mere toy brand to an in-depth fantasy universe. But contrary to misconceptions, he was not part of the original creative team, nor was he the head writer. From 2003 to 2011, he had also kept a close relationship with the fans on the BZPower.com forum system, regularly engaging in discussions and answering thousands of questions written to him by fans. He considered many fans as friends and was in fact so devoted to his writing that he asked LEGO to let him continue doing it for free even after the Bionicle toyline had been discontinued. However, due to his family life and other occupations, he had to abandon the story, which to this day remains unfinished. He was not involved with the writing for the franchise's 2015 reboot.
- Used to make appearances at fan conventions and bookstore events to meet Bionicle fans.
- Beyond writing as a job and a hobby, he enjoys reading, shopping and playing the piano.
