- Executive
John Domingos has worked at various levels of the entertainment world. He got his start booking concerts and comedy shows while a student at Fordham University's Rose Hill Campus. Also while there he worked with friends to start an independent record label - Can't Afford 'Em Records - out of their dorm. He worked internships at development company Double Nickel Entertainment and in publicity at DreamWorks.
Upon graduation, John went on the road with the band Cake, supporting their cross country tour with openers Tegan & Sara and Gogol Bordello by selling merch and assisting their tour management. He settled in NYC after that, working his way from the mailroom at Paradigm to become a talent agent with a focus in comedy over nearly 14 years.
During the height of the pandemic, John followed his passion for the comic book medium to work with the independent comic publisher Z2 Comics as an A&R Liaison, helping connect the publisher with creators from outside the contemporary comics world to create new and original graphic novels. While still working with them and other publishers in a freelance capacity, John moved to the commercial production company ArtClass Content to spearhead their long form development helping their exceptional roster of directing talent create projects for film and television.
All this experience lead to John making the decision to start his own all encompassing company called Sunday Funnies to manage talent that he remains inspired by and be a true advocate for artists as they navigate their careers. This includes actors, directors, as well as writer from the TV/film space and comic creators that are transitioning their work to other media.
