Match #1: Noam Dar & Oro Mensah def. Von Wagner & Mr. Stone The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Von Wagner and Mr. Stone have never been on the same page more than they have been right now, but it still wasn’t enough to trip up The Meta-Four. The chaos started early as all four Superstars brawled before the match even began, but thankfully an official broke it up long enough for the bout to begin. The action was fast and furious with Wagner showing off his incredible power, but the numbers game of The Meta-Four factored in as Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend distracted the official long enough for Mensah to hit a cheap shot and allow Dar to sneak in the winning pinfall.

Match #1: Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams def. Edris Enofé & Malik Blade The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Trick Melo Gang is on the same page as Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes took down Edris Enofé and Malik Blade in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Trick and Melo came out hot, but the supreme athleticism of Blade and Enofé evened the playing field in a big way, highlighted by tandem splashes to the outside. Despite the incredible fight from Blade and Enofé, Trick Melo Gang took care of business and punched their ticket to the semifinals.

With just one spot at Nxt Deadline left, Fallon Henley rose to the occasion and punched her ticket to the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge by capitalizing on the intense rivalry between Roxanne Perez and Kiana James. James and Perez battered each other and fully utilized the No Disqualification rules of a Fatal 4-Way, culminating in the two of them crashing through the announce table. Jacy Jayne once again tried to interfere in the match, but a clearly distracted Andre Chase refused her help, allowing Tony D and Stacks to hit Bada Bing Bada Boom and become the new champions.

Match #1: Butch & Tyler Bate def. Gallus The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Big Strong Boi and The Brawling Brute got some payback on Gallus, and were even joined by a longtime ally. The Gallus boys used the numbers game to their advantage as Wolfgang and Mark Coffey dominated the in-ring action while Joe Coffey ran interference on the outside. British Strongstyle proved to be too much as their tandem offense planted Coffey and gave them the win, only for Gallus to attack them after the match. That attack prompted Butch’s Brawling Brute teammate Ridge Holland to return to Nxt and save his companions from the savage beatdown.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt 2.0, which is currently on the road to the World’s Collide pay-per-view which will see Nxt and Nxt UK merge into one brand with the unification of all the titles. Let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Grayson Waller def. Apollo Crews The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Following their heated back-and-forth on the debut episode of “The Grayson Waller Effect” Apollo Crews and “The Arrogant Aussie” decided to settle the score in the ring. The two Superstars went back-and-forth as Crews took control with a thunderous clothesline and a dropkick while mocking Waller. Crews continued to roll until Waller poked Crews in the eye forcing trainers to check on Crews’ condition. After sending the trainers away, Crews rallied with a pair of enziguris and a flurry of clotheslines. Crews connected with a top-rope blockbuster, but Waller escaped and went for his rolling stunner,...

Netflix‘s new docuseries The Sons of Sam: A Descent into Darkness aims to restructure a deeply ingrained story. New York City’s most notorious serial murderer wasn’t a serial murderer after all. If David Berkowitz was part of a team of street level satanic power brokers, the entire story is a false narrative.
The Sons of Sam: A Descent into Darkness is an impressive entry in the true crime documentary premiere run at Netflix. It focuses on the work of journalist Maury Terry, whose investigation into the Son of Sam case was criminally sidelined. Terry was convinced that convicted lone serial killer David Berkowitz was part of “a highly motivated and well-organized cult group whose various criminal enterprises included the .44 homicide.”
Terry’s 1987 book The Ultimate Evil: An Investigation of America’s Most Dangerous Satanic Cult, is a must read. But it got lost in the Satanic Panic,...

Match #1: Joe Coffey def. Ed Harvey The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The man who insisted his name was not Ed Harvey, but instead Sha Samuels, clearly wasn’t intimidated by Joe Coffey. The newcomer took it to The Iron King early on, but the leader of the Gallus firm absorbed the punishment and dished out plenty of his own, answering with an overhead toss and his trademark ruthless strikes. Samuels scored a near-fall when he planted Coffey with a big powerslam after catching him off the ropes, nearly pulling off the big upset. Coffey bounced back to deliver the Glasgow Sendoff and All the Best for the Bells for the victory.
My Opinion: 2.7 out of 5
Match #2: Tyler Bate def. Sam Gradwell The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Sam Gradwell had Tyler Bate shellshocked early on thanks to a fast start by Nxt UK’s “Thunderstorm.

Match #1: Rampage Brown def. Saxon Huxley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The unhinged Saxon Huxley matched Rampage Brown’s strength in this battle between two of Nxt UK’s biggest bruisers, who also showed off impressive agility at their size, highlighted by a top-rope clothesline from Huxley to give him the upper hand. But Huxley went to the well one too many times as Brown caught him off the top on his second attempt, planting him with a massive powerslam before hitting his patented gutwrench powerbomb for the hard-fought win.
My Opinion: 2.7 out of 5 – Rampage rampaged like a rampaging rampager that rampages rampagily rampagified…what? It was okay.

Match #1: Gallus def. Sam Gradwell & Pretty Deadly – Six-Man Tag Team Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Iron King is back, and thus Gallus is once again at full strength. Match #1: Kay Lee Ray & Jinny def. Piper Niven & Dani Luna The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the opening matchup, Nxt UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray joined forces with Jinny against Piper Niven and up-and-comer Dani Luna. In the final moments, The Fashionista neutralized Niven by hurling her into the steel ring steps. She then delivered a hard right to Luna from the apron and paved the way for The Scary Queen of Scots to hit the Gory Bomb on Luna for the victory.
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – Overall, this wasn’t half bad. There’s some fine wrestlers in here, but the match…I don’t know.

It’s funny to listen to these old bastards pick on the more successful guys and critique how they didn’t “draw money”, when there are so many factors in place that prevent even the biggest stars from actually drawing money. Nxt UK has a few stars in it, but doesn’t seem to be doing well enough as a brand all its own. Is it the wrestlers’ fault that Nxt UK isn’t raking in millions a week? Match #1: Tyler Bate def. Joseph Conners The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Joseph Conners may have challenged “TakeOver” Tyler Bate in order to demonstrate that he is worthy, but the first-ever United Kingdom Champion proved his worth when he overcame his unpredictable opponent with Tyler Driver ‘97. Even though the loss handed Conners his first defeat in about eight months, the whirlwind back-and-forth contest exhibited the next-level talent of both competitors.

Match #1: Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan def. The Hunt The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan returned to Nxt UK for the first time in almost a year to take on The Hunt. In the height of the very physical matchup, Wild Boar missed the splash on Burch as he crashed onto the ringside floor. Seconds later, Lorcan hit Primate with a devastating forearm as the animalistic Superstar was leaping from the ropes. This opened the door for a 2-on-1 big impact Ddt for the three-count.
My Opinion: 2.6 out of 5 – The right guys won a simple, light match that was a nice demo for some of the winners better moves.

Jordan Devlin once again showed the WWE Universe why you must never bet against The Irish Ace when he used Devlin Side to conquer a very game Ligero and earn a place in World’s Collide’s Nxt Cruiserweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match. He will face titleholder Angel Garza, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, and whomever won the matchup between Travis Banks and The Brain Kendrick in Nxt UK’s main event.

Match #1: Dave Mastiff def. Kona Reeves The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Prior to the first Nxt UK matchup of 2020, Nxt’s Kona Reeves took to the mic to blame everything in sight for his loss to Trent Seven several weeks ago. But when Kona turned his words to Dave Mastiff, “The Bomber” made him pay with a hard blow that sent his outspoken opponent to the canvas. Although the nefarious Reeves fought back with an earth-shattering assault, the dominant competitor sent his prey Into the Void for a big three-count.

May 29, 2014. The date of the very first Nxt TakeOver show. Man… that was over five years ago, and in the time since that show aired live in the WWE Network, we’ve seen so much change. Not just in Nxt, but in WWE in general and in the world of pro-wrestling. Going back to that first show highlights not only how much has changed, but how far Nxt as a brand has come. It’s about to go live every week on the USA Network as a two-hour show, head-to-head with the first potential wrestling competition to WWE in years, Aew. The landscape of wrestling is different now. Going back, for the sake of this article to watch every Nxt TakeOver show was no small undertaking. There’s been 26 (28 including the UK TakeOver shows) of them to date. Match #1: Noam Dar def. Travis Banks The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Although Travis Banks missed the inaugural Nxt UK TakeOver in Blackpool after being attacked by Jordan Devlin back in January, The Kiwi Buzzsaw journeyed to Cardiff ready to take full advantage of the big TakeOver stage against the outspoken Noam Dar. In the early moments of an explosive contest, Banks seemed to injure his shoulder as well as his knee, and Dar attacked the weak spots like a shark that smelled blood. But the resilient Banks battled through the pain, opening the door for both skilled competitors to leave it all on the mat with an inedible display of high-octane offense that produced near-fall after near-fall.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Dave Mastiff fighting Joe Coffey in the main event, so get that mud off your pants and get ready to dance like Bruce Springsteen in a Bombay tickle shack.
Match #1: Noam Dar def. Ashton Smith The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After scoring a hard-fought victory against Aston Smith with a Nova Roller in the opening contest, The Scottish Supernova informed the WWE Universe that he will be at Nxt UK Takeover: Cardiff, but it remains unclear just who the outspoken competitor may face at the Aug. 31 event on WWE Network.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was a good match featuring the guy who just keeps getting better in Dar and a guy who ain’t half bad at all. Did you see the reboot of 90210? It confused the @&%? out of me.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’ve got…wrestling. Hey, the WWE doesn’t always have that on their shows, so that’s worth mentioning by itself. Okay, let’s get to the…wrestling. See? It’s important.
Match #1: Gallus’ Mark Coffey & Wolfgang def. Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The combination of Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley may be known as “Pretty Deadly,” but when they faced the forces of Gallus, their collective fates were sealed in a hurry. Mark Coffey & Wolfgang laid waste to their opponents before finishing off Howley with the combination of Coffey’s monster kick to the face into Wolfgang’s powerbomb. In the wake of their destruction, the deadly duo turned their attention to The Grizzled Young Veterans and made it clear that the Nxt UK Tag...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more action from the European brand of Nxt that somehow got Kassius Ohno on its roster. Hey, it’s good for them. Okay, let’s get UK crazy! That sucked. I’d erase it, but delete buttons cost too much money for the son of a basketball.
Match #1: Ilja Dragunov def. Ashton Smith The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the opening match of Nxt UK, the pure intensity of Ilja Dragunov proved too much for the talents of Ashton Smith, as he withstood everything his opponent threw at him and reigned supreme with Torpedo Moscow.
My Opinion: 2 out of 5 – As squashes go, this didn’t hurt my feelings, but it didn’t make my day either.
Match #2: Nxt UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm def. Candy Floss...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt: UK, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big main event with Walter defending the Nxt: UK Championship against Travis Banks. Okay, before Kenny Omega yaois us to death (The Wrestlers is explaining that on the Ddt episode), let’s get to the action.
Match #1: Mark Andrews def. Joseph Conners The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The vicious Joseph Conners looked to use the full force of his brutal nature to ground Mark Andrews in the opening Nxt UK contest from the Download Festival, but his high-flying opponent triumphed by hitting Stundog Millionaire into Fall to Pieces for the victory.
My Opinion: 2.5 out of 5 – This was a fun burst of action that gave Andrews more TV time to show how talented he is and for Conners to continue to improve.
Match #2: Xia Brookside def.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more stuff from Imperium and a big main event for the women. Okay, let’s make like the Hollywood Vampires and buy some mascara.
Match #1: Kassius Ohno def. Kenny Williams The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Kassius Ohno continued his quest to educate Nxt UK on “real British wrestling” by taking on Kenny Williams. Although Williams hit him with a back elbow off the top rope for the near-fall, Ohno proved more fortunate than The Lucky Yin when he caught his opponent in the ropes and delivered an earth-shattering elbow of his own to give him the three-count.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was a fun match that was mostly a commercial for how great Kassius Ohno/Chris Hero is in the ring. I like Williams, but Ohno is...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…some matches. I really hope this goes better than Raw or Smackdown. I have a feeling I’m going to need to ask those sorts of questions about Raw and Smackdown more often than I should have to. Okay, let’s go UK crazy with a number one contender’s match for the main event.
Match #1: The Hunt def. Tyson T-Bone & Saxon Huxley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a brutal opening match between two of Nxt UK’s most rugged tandems, Wild Boar & Primate hit a monstrous pop-up German Suplex and stereo driving headbutts off the top rope to give The Hunt the win over Tyson T-Bone & Saxon Huxley. But as the dust cleared, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang unleashed a ruthless surprise assault on Wild Boar & Primate, perhaps...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Raw and Smackdown sucked. You know why Raw and Smackdown sucked? Vince McMahon is an idiot. Yeah, so we’re with the European people, who don’t have to talk to him like the main roster folks do. Okay, I forgot where I’m going with this. Just note that the supplementary brands of this league have done better than the billion dollar siblings this week.
Match #1: Travis Banks def. Joseph Connors – Fatal 4-Way Qualifying Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the final moments of Nxt UK’s high stakes open matchup, Travis Banks managed to overcome the aggressive style of Joseph Connors. After hitting the Slice of Heaven off the ropes, he quickly followed up with the Kiwi Crusher to earn the final spot in the Fatal 4-Way Match to determine the No.
