Brian Rodriguez was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He went to
Lane Tech High School and graduated from Columbia College Chicago with
a BA in Communications. Brian started his TV career as an
anchor/reporter for the NBC affiliate in Helena, Montana. There he won
an Associated Press Award for his series "Poverty In Montana," which
explored the new face of poverty and how it related to the minimum
wage. Brian spent a little over two years doing the news in Montana.
Before his departure, the Lewis and Clark County Board proclaimed
September 28, 2007 "Brian Rodriguez Day."
Brian continued his broadcast news career at the ABC/FOX affiliates in
Madison, Wisconsin. There he was recognized by the Wisconsin
Broadcasters Association for his live report on a fatal shooting in
Cross Plains, Wisconsin. Brian anchored the weekend 9pm show for FOX
and produced and hosted a segment called "Man About Madison" for the
Wake Up Wisconsin morning show during the week. The popular segment
featured fun events and interesting people throughout the city with a
Daily Show-esk spin.
Brian left broadcast news in 2010 to transition to acting and stand up
comedy. He most recently stared in the Independent short-film Raincheck
Romance with Dana May Salah.
