Update: Disney has shared an image of Jeff Bridges taking a look at the Tron: Ares script, and that can be seen at the bottom of this article.
The original article follows:
The long-awaited third entry in the Tron franchise is finally in production. Six years after it was first announced that Jared Leto was in talks to star in a Tron project called Tron: Ares, the movie was all set to start filming last August – but then it had to wait out the writers and actors strikes. With those strikes over, filming is finally underway. Earlier today, we heard a quote from cast member Cameron Monaghan (Gotham), who said this film will “really push forward what can be done, from a visual perspective.” Now, we have another quote about the movie – and this is the one that every Tron fan has been waiting to hear. The filming of Tron: Ares, the third movie in the Tron franchise, is currently underway, as director Joachim Rønning and his cast are preparing for the planned 2025 release. Many details about the upcoming movie are still scarce and things are kept under wraps, but some of the actors have spoken out about the movie and its production, providing us with some very positive comments. On the other hand, while the cast members have been more or less known, their roles (save for the protagonist) are still undisclosed, which means that casting updates will be frequent as more details are revealed.
And while we’ve been expecting some updates on the names of the confirmed cast members, we’ve actually received a pretty amazing scoop instead, as it has officially been confirmed that the series’ legend, Jeff Bridges, is indeed returning to the franchise and will appear in the third movie as well!

Jeff Bridges reveals he is all set to return to the Tron series that he helped to establish all the way back in 1982, for Tron: Ares.
After many years of waiting, Tron: Ares, a sequel to 2010’s Tron: Legacy, is finally in production. Tron: Legacy's director Joseph Kosinski hasn’t returned and neither have any of the film’s stars – well, apart from one (you can probably guess who it is from the headline). It doesn’t even look like Daft Punk will be returning to give us another memorable score for the third film in the Tron franchise.
It’s not quite all-new though, with reports stating that Jeff Bridges is all set to make an appearance in the film. Bridges himself revealed the news on the Film Comment podcast, stating that he was excited to be working with Jared Leto, the star of Tron: Ares.

Jeff Bridges is getting digitized once again. The actor revealed that he will be returning for “Tron: Ares,” the third “Tron” movie set for release in 2015 and will star Jared Leto.
Bridges revealed the news on the Film Comment podcast on Friday, saying that he headed out over the weekend to film a part for the threequel and was even anxious about working with an actor like Leto.
“Jared Leto is the star of this third one. I’m really anxious to work with him. I’ve admired his work,” Bridges said.
Bridges reprised his role as Kevin Flynn in 2010’s “Tron: Legacy” after he first appeared in the groundbreaking 1982 video-game movie. “Legacy” aimed to push another technical visual effects boundary by de-aging his character, with Bridges playing himself and his younger avatar. Jeff Bridges is going back to the grid.
The 74-year-old actor told the Film Comment podcast (via The Playlist) that he is going to appear in “Tron: Ares,” the third film in the long-running sci-fi franchise that Bridges inaugurated with “Tron” in 1982 and reprised with “Tron: Legacy” in 2010. The new film stars Jared Leto as the titular character Ares, with Joachim Rønning (“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”) directing from a script by Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne.
“I’m heading off this Saturday to play a part in the third installment of the ‘Tron’ story,” Bridges said. “Jared Leto is the star of this third one. I’m really anxious to work with him. I’ve admired his work.”
“Tron” is best known for pioneering the use of computer generated imagery, which was used to create the digital world of a video game after Bridges’ character, Kevin Flynn, is zapped inside one.

The originalTRON movie premiered in 1982, and it became one of the most popular sci-fi films of the era and is now considered a cult classic. Its sequel, Tron: Legacy, was released in 2010 and received mixed reviews, but Disney still decided to continue the series, and Tron: Ares, the third movie in the series, is set to come out on October 10, 2025, as we have reported earlier. And while there is still some time before the movie’s premiere, the actors involved are discussing the work on the movie, and from what Cameron Monaghan, one of the movie’s main stars, said, we are in for an exciting sequel.
Plans for a third movie started emerging back in 2010 after Legacy, but several ideas and projects were scrapped before it was confirmed in 2022 that the movie was still happening and production was set to begin in 2023, although was originally postponed indefinitely due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

"Can we just stay in the moment?" Lionsgate has unveiled a trailer for a romantic drama titled Float, made in Canada by filmmaker Sherren Lee. This cheesy love story is based on the book of the same name written by Kate Marchant. It's one of these "everything changed when I met this one guy" stories we've seen so many times over and over. A city girl with a life in Toronto, originally from Taiwan, rejected by her parents, makes an impulsive decision to spend the summer at a small town with her estranged aunt. She nearly drowns and is rescued by the lifeguard next door, who offers to teach her how to swim. Of course they fall in love, but will things work out? Float stars Andrea Bang as Waverly, Robbie Amell as lifeguard Blake, Michelle Krusiec, Andrew Bachelor, Rukiya Bernard, and Sarah Desjardins. This looks sweet and sappy and...

When the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes ended, someone opened the floodgates for news pouring out of Hollywood. In addition to giving actors the go-ahead to hype their latest projects, updates for existing films and television series continue to rain like men. According to Collider, production for the long-gestating Tron sequel, Tron: Ares, starts filming in Vancouver after the holidays. Initially, cameras were supposed to roll in August, but the strikes delayed the process by several months. The shutdown was harsh, with Tron: Ares director Joachim Rønning expressing his disappointment about over 150 people terminated from the production.
“Today was supposed to be our first day of principal photography on Tron: Ares,” Rønning said in a straight-forward Instagram post in August. “Instead, we are shut down with over a hundred and fifty people laid off. The ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, now in its second month, has claimed yet another victim, as Tron: Ares has officially been delayed the same week it was set to begin filming. Coming hot off the news, director Joachim Rønning has expressed his frustrations on social media, urging there to be a better “safety net” as SAG-AFTRA and WGA (whose own strike has exceeded 100 days so far) continue to be in a stalemate with the AMPTP, the group at the center of both strikes.
The delay of Tron: Ares will result not just in a calendar shakeup but the loss of jobs for around 150 crew members. As such, director Rønning has not minced words on his take. As per The Hollywood Reporter, “Today was supposed to be our first day of principal photography on Tron: Ares. Instead, we are shut down with over a hundred and fifty people laid off. Tuesday would have been the first day of production on the sci-fi sequel “Tron: Ares,” but the film, like so much else in Hollywood, is now on hold indefinitely, said director Joachim Rønning lamented the “extremely frustrating” situation” on Tuesday.
“Today was supposed to be our first day of principal photography on Tron: Ares. Instead, we are shut down with over a hundred and fifty people laid off. It’s indefinite, which makes it exponentially harder for everyone,” Rønning wrote on Instagram.
He continued, “The AMPTP, SAG-AFTRA and WGA need to speed up the negotiating process and not leave the table until it’s done. This is Hollywood. We close deals for breakfast. Why do we suddenly have all the time in the world when every day is so precious? These tactics are extremely frustrating. It’s time for diplomacy so we can get back to work – under conditions that are fair to everybody.

Sarah Desjardins is uploading to the grid. The Yellowjackets actor is the latest addition to Tron: Ares, the upcoming third installment of the classic Disney film series.
Desjardins joins a cast that includes Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters and Jodie Turner-Smith. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil filmmaker Joachim Ronning is directing Ares, which follows 1982’s Tron and 2010’s Tron: Legacy.
While the first Tron film centered on a video game designer (Jeff Bridges) entering his own creation, and the follow-up focused on his son (Garrett Hedlund) following in his footsteps, sources previously told The Hollywood Reporter that the new film will spend more time in the real world. The script from Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne is said to center on a sentient program that crosses over into the human world that is not ready for contact.

Last year’s breakout hit “Yellowjackets” swarmed awards season with seven Emmy nominations including Best Drama Series in 2022. The Showtime drama is looking to outperform those numbers this year by submitting 18 actors for consideration from its Season 2 cast. The Emmy ballots were officially unveiled on the Television Academy’s website on June 15, the same day nominations-round voting began (it will conclude on June 26 at 10:00 p.m.).
Most notable is Melanie Lynskey, who earned a Best Actress bid for playing Shauna Sadecki last year and currently ranks second in our odds to win the prize this time around. Cast mates joining her in the Best Drama Actress field are Tawny Cypress (Taissa Turner), Juliette Lewis (Natalie Scatorccio) and the teen version of Shauna, Sophie Nélisse.

Christina Ricci looks to repeat her nomination from last year as well.

"Yellowjackets" was renewed for season three before the second season even premiered this spring, promising fans more chaos, cults, and cannibalism. Showtime confirmed season three in December 2022. The show's creators, Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, have planned for the story of the ill-fated New Jersey soccer champs to be told over the course of five seasons, so the next season will put the story over the halfway mark.
But when the third season will finally air is, unfortunately, a huge unknown thanks to the ongoing writers' strike. Back in March, Lyle and Nickerson told The Hollywood Reporter that they were trying to start writing the new season before the strike began. "The possibility of the strike is very real. All we can do is keep moving forward until we have to put our pencils down," Lyle said. She added that the writers' room would begin officially meeting in April.

Showrunners and filmmakers began bringing intimacy coordinators onto TV and film sets to ensure that performers felt safe and their boundaries respected while filming sex scenes. But as two top practitioners told TheWrap, the role has expanded to include any depiction of “heightened emotion,” including assaults, deaths and childbirth.
Kathy Kadler, who comes from a nursing background and has been an intimacy coordinator for three years, worked on both seasons of Showtime’s “Yellowjackets.” She found the cast relying on her more often in filming Season 2, in which characters dealt with a stillbirth, cannibalism, murder and dissociative breaks from reality.
Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays Teen Taissa on the drama series, expressed how thankful she was to have an intimacy coordinator on set as an overall mental health resource.
“It’s a really grueling, exhausting show,” Brown told TheWrap shortly after filming wrapped on Season 2. “I think people forget that the ’96 timeline,...

This article contains spoilers for season 2 of Yellowjackets.
There are silly, insignificant "what if" games that one plays as a kid or even as an adult. I was not once asked what I would do if I were stranded in the wilderness or on an island. These "what if" questions become a harsh reality for the protagonists in Yellowjackets by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. As Yellowjackets returns for a second season, the fan-favorite group of survivors wraps themselves in an even larger cocoon of lies and risky scenarios before reuniting at Lottie's cult for the vicious and trailblazing doozy of a finale. At the same time, things get dire for the soccer team in the wild as the winter comes and there is no food. Season 2 has a lot in store for us, such as answers about Lottie's mental state and Shauna's pregnancy. At the same time,...

This post contains spoilers for the "Yellowjackets" season 2 finale.
The season 2 finale of "Yellowjackets" is out, and fans aren't 100% thrilled. A lot of the backlash so far has centered around the death of adult Natalie (Juliette Lewis), a plot point that was arguably a little rushed and unsatisfying. The other major point of contention is with the resolution of the long-running Adam subplot. Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) killed a guy she was having an affair with in season 1, and after a full season of the police closing in on her, the situation's been resolved not through the actions of Shauna herself, but with the help of Walter (Elijah Wood), a man Shauna's never even met.
For a lot of fans, this conclusion is a little too convenient. It's made worse because Walter's whole plan doesn't hold up to scrutiny in the slightest. There's no way an experienced detective would casually accept...

This is it. The season finale of “Yellowjackets” Season 2, “Storytelling,” closes the loop on this chapter and overarching plot threads with fiery devastation. Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body, The Invitation) returns to direct for the first time since the premiere, bringing some of the show’s themes full circle. While “Storytelling” may not bring the intense thrills of the last episode’s wilderness hunt, the events of this finale instead wreak havoc emotionally and ensure nothing will be the same going forward.
Picking up from the last episode, Travis (Kevin Alves) is immediately relieved to see Nat (Sophie Thatcher) arrive safely back at the cabin. His relief is short-lived when he sees Nat’s tearful, guilt-stricken face before the rest of the teens carry in his baby brother’s frozen body. While the group attempts to handle this new sacrifice and glean its spiritual meaning, their present-day counterparts attempt to...

The Season 2 finale of “Yellowjackets” left us with dropped jaws — and a lot of questions. We still don’t know who “pit girl” is, but we did see how things escalate to the point where the survivors began hunting each other to stay alive.
Although, as creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson told TheWrap before the Season 2 premiere, not every question will be answered. Said Nickerson, when asked if he minded the comparisons to the often frustrating “Lost”: “I don’t always want everything to be answered. Like, I do and I don’t, because so much of what made ‘Lost’ so engrossing was the mystery, not just the mystery of what happened, but the sort of reclamation of the spookiness of being alive. You can’t give all the answers and maintain that spookiness.”
With that in mind, here are some of the most pressing issues that still need to be answered.

No lie. The tragic season finale of Yellowjackets made us cry by killing off tormented bad-ass Natalie (Juliette Lewis) who was finally starting to heal from her ’90s wilderness trauma. We also shed a tear for the bleak state of her grieving surviving friends: Misty (Christina Ricci), broken with guilt about accidentally killing Nat; Lottie (Simone Kessell), unhinged and about to be hospitalized; Tai (Tawny Cypress) and Van (Lauren Ambrose) whose suddenly rekindled passion has chilled just as quickly; and teary Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) who can’t deny that her daughter Callie (Sarah Desjardins) has inherited her mom’s capacity for violence. The one person who seemed the most stable at the episode’s end was Shauna’s husband Jeff (Warren Kole) – sweet, earnest, furniture salesman Jeff Sadecki! Sure, he watched his old high school friend Kevyn (Alex Wyndham) drop dead and then helped Misty’s murderer boyfriend Walter (Elijah Wood) move the body.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Yellowjackets” Season 2 Episode 9, “Storytelling.”]
Long ago, in the quaint winter of 2022, Lottie (Courtney Eaton) killed a bear and offered its heart up as sacrifice to the wilderness on “Yellowjackets.” She told her friends to spill blood and said “let the darkness let us free.”
That is decidedly not what happened.
Despite Lottie’s best efforts in both past and present, “darkness” (also known as savagery and trauma) fully cloaks the stranded teens of the series, following them well into their tormented adult lives. In a season that has gone from bad to worse, “Storytelling” is the definitive destruction of hope, light, and sanctuary.
After languishing for most of the season — or at least moving conspicuously slower than the parallel ’90s flashback — the present-day timeline steers most of the action in “Storytelling,” written by Ameni Rozsa and directed by Karyn Kusama. Every character and storyline converges at Lottie’s (Simone Kessell) forest compound,...

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers from “Storytelling,” the Season 2 finale of “Yellowjackets,” now streaming on Showtime.
The second season of “Yellowjackets” has come to a dark and twisted end. In the 1996 timeline, teen Lottie (Courtney Eaton) handed over the role of leader of the wilderness to Natalie (Sophie Thatcher), as all the young girls bowed to her, confirming she was, in fact, the Antler Queen. However, the celebration was cut short as a fire sparked in the middle of the night. While everyone escaped, the group was left standing outside in the snow, watching flames encapsulate their home.
In the present timeline, the group once again drew cards to see who the wilderness wanted — an idea suggested by Lottie (Simone Kessell). Before they performed this old ritual, Natalie (Juliette Lewis) warned the rest of the residents to leave, including Lisa (Nicole Maines), to whom she had grown close throughout...

It wasn't until the end of season 1 that a surprising fan favorite emerged from the sprawling "Yellowjackets" cast: Jeff (Warren Kole), Shauna's mysterious, somewhat distant husband. Throughout the season, we thought Jeff was cheating on Shauna, which makes sense considering their relationship first began with Jeff cheating on Jackie.
It was only by the finale that we discovered the truth: Jeff wasn't cheating at all. He was simply blackmailing the surviving teammates in a scheme to bail out his failing furniture store. That sounds bad, but it's harmless compared to the secret Shauna reveals. Not only was she cheating on Jeff with another man, but she also just stabbed the man to death and needs help covering it all up. Worst of all, she's been lying about book club!
Since then, Jeff's revealed himself to be a ride-or-die husband, someone who's on board with covering up his wife's gruesome...

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Yellowjackets” Season 2 Episode 8, “It Chooses.”]
“Does a hunt that have no violence feed anyone?”
That’s the question posed to Lottie (Simone Kessell) by her “therapist” — quickly revealed to be her subconscious — in “Yellowjackets” Season 2, Episode 7, the question whose answer and meaning reveal themselves in ghastly fashion in Episode 8, “It Chooses.” Not only are our survivors starved and delirious, but they now hunger as much for food as for fight to acquire it.
Directed by Daisy von Scherler Mayer and written by Sarah L. Thompson & Liz Phang, “It Chooses” is littered with indicators of everyone reaching the end of their tether during the bleak midwinter. There is hunger, there is starvation, and then there is whatever this is; exhaustion, blurred vision, hallucinations of blood spilling from the walls, cradling your pet mouse corpse and being tempted to take a bite out of his emaciated body. Only Nat (Sophie Thatcher) says it,...

This post contains spoilers for "Yellowjackets" and discusses potentially triggering content.
By their very nature, most survival thrillers are predicated on the suspense of whether characters will prevail against the forces of nature and ultimately live through their current scenario in the wild. Showtime's "Yellowjackets" is uniquely structured in this respect, since it toggles between teen and adult versions of the same characters in the past and present. It's never in question if central characters like Shauna, Taissa, Misty, Sophie, and now, Lottie and Van, will survive past youth. Instead, the viewer is left speculating about how they did so and what exactly they lived through in order to become the dysfunctional adults they are in the present.
In the case of teen Shauna (Sophie Nélisse), ever since the audience learned that she was pregnant, the mystery of what happened to her baby had also hung over "Yellowjackets." As of...

“Yellowjackets” fans can get a special (if eerily garbled) message from Lottie Matthews (Simone Kessell) if they call the “emergency phone line” number shown at her compound in the addictive Showtime series, thanks to the SMS engagement platform Community.
If you call 1- 607-478-1033, you’ll hear Lottie welcoming “wanderers” to her gated community. The recording, like the show’s opening credits, is alternately interrupted by static and skips ahead. Her greeting ends with “We’ll hear you if you hear us,” which echoes the cult-like chant the stranded soccer team relied on after their crash: “We hear the wilderness and it hears us.”
Community’s Jimmy Siam told TheWrap that it’s a way to “continue the conversation and storytelling after the episode ends.”

He added, “The team was looking for an innovative way to immerse fans into the storyline of ‘Yellowjackets’ in an authentic way with...

Though “Yellowjackets” fans may have predicted what happened with Shauna’s (Sophie Nélisse) baby in Season 2, Episode 6, that didn’t make it any less difficult to watch. Creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson confirmed to IndieWire that they always knew what was going to happen with Shauna’s pregnancy in the wilderness, and that it has been built into the character since Season 1.
“Shauna is a character, particularly in Season 1, who’s engaging in what really amounts to self flagellation,” Lyle said. “She’s sort of punishing herself with the life that she’s built for herself.”
Nickerson described Shauna as being defined by absence — someone who “thought she could and should have a different life” but lost any chance of it perhaps even before her plane went down.
“We view her as a character in a kind of stasis, who is stuck,” he said. “Something was torn out of...

In season one of "Yellowjackets," fans were shocked to learn that Shauna (Sophie Nélisse as a teen and Melanie Lynskey as an adult), while trapped with her teammates in the woods, is pregnant. Before leaving on what was meant to be a trip to nationals, she had sex multiple times with Jeff, the boyfriend of her best friend Jackie (Ella Purnell). In the present day, Jeff (played by Warren Kole as an adult) and Shauna are married and have a teen daughter, Callie (Sarah Desjardins). But Callie was born in 2004, so fans always knew she wasn't the baby Shauna is pregnant with in the woods in 1996. It takes 19 months for the Yellowjackets to be saved, so fans also knew Shauna was no longer pregnant when the rescue finally happened. In episode six, released May 5 on streaming, viewers finally learn the baby's sad fate.

“Yellowjackets” may be a twisted TV drama, but it’s tough to build a case that it pulls the rug out from under its audience. More often than not, things go how you’d expect them to, in a world where the ultimate twist is the one taken by fate when a flight crashed in the Canadian wilderness. Everything that follows, tragic as it is, has an inevitable kind of logic to it.
Episode 6, “Qui,” directed by Liz Garbus and written by Karen Joseph Adcock & Ameni Rozsa, is a crystal clear reminder of that. Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) is in labor, and the inevitability of her pregnancy brings a fierce reality check crashing down on the cabin. It ends up being a checkpoint, revealing every character’s truth in how they respond to the situation. Surprisingly, Misty (Samantha Hanratty) panics; as much as Hanratty embodies a smart little sociopath,...

Episode six of “Yellowjackets” Season 2, “Qui,” makes for one of the most significant “do not miss” episodes of television this year. Now firmly into the back half of the second season, “Qui” takes massive strides in converging plotlines in the present while wreaking utter emotional devastation in the past. More impressive is the way this episode serves as a showcase for powerhouse performances across the ensemble cast.
“Qui” resumes the terrible timing of teen Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) going into labor. The good news is that the complete inexperience, shock, and anxiety over bringing a baby into this world primarily unites the group as they frantically try to help Shauna. The bad news is that they depended on Misty (Samantha Hanratty) to act as a midwife, but the first sign of blood sends her reeling over her accidental murder of Crystal (Nuha Jes Izman). This post contains spoilers for the latest episode of "Yellowjackets."
Shauna Sadecki (Melanie Lynskey) never wanted kids. She confesses as much in the centerpiece scene of this week's episode of "Yellowjackets," a powerful monologue from Lynskey in a season that's been in part built around powerful monologues from Lynskey. Shauna never wanted a family, she says, but she loves them despite herself. In the context of this, the most heartbreaking episode of the show to date, it's impossible not to think of her first child here, who we now know was stillborn in the wilderness.
Yet when Shauna speaks to the police with obvious warmth in her voice, making it clear that she's happy as a mom despite her instincts screaming otherwise, it's not the baby who comes to mind, but Callie (Sarah Desjardins). Callie, who just lied to a cop in one of the show's most hilarious and darkly satisfying scenes yet.

Sarah Desjardins had the enormous good luck — and talent — to land on two of the hottest TV shows in a row: She plays Callie, the daughter of Shauna (Melanie Lynskey), on the hit Showtime series “Yellowjackets,” and was also Maddie, the kidnapped daughter of the vice president, on the Netflix thriller “Night Agent.”
“Yeah, pinch me. I’m very grateful,” said the 28-year-old actress, who can convincingly play 19 or younger. She spoke to TheWrap ahead of “Yellowjackets” Episode 6, which premieres on Showtime streaming Friday and airs Sunday on Showtime.
“It’s just so funny how the timing worked out, that I filmed the shows six months apart, but they came out, like, a day apart. You never know how that’s gonna pan out, but yeah, it’s very awesome,” she said.

The following post contains spoilers for the first five episodes of "Yellowjackets" season 2.
After taking the world by storm in 2021, the genre-bending Showtime series "Yellowjackets" returned in 2023 with a jaw-dropping second season, one full of new characters, long-awaited answers, and even more questions about the mysterious force in the wilderness. The season 2 premiere picks up two months after Jackie's (Ella Purnell) shocking death in the '90s timeline. Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) works through her grief and guilt by talking to the frozen body, while the rest of the team distract themselves from their growing hunger. This article contains spoilers for Yellowjackets season 2 episode 5.
For the first time this season, Yellowjackets is taking a brief pause in between episodes. Unfortunately, this means that we’ll have to wait a week longer to see what happens to Shauna’s (Sophie Nélisse) baby, whether the Sadeckis will be able to fool the cops, and how cult life treats Misty (Christina Ricci) in the present.
At the end of episode 5 “Two Truths and a Lie,” Shauna begins to give birth in the wilderness soon after Lottie (Courtney Eaton) gives her a blanket with the symbol of the forest stitched into it. Misty also kinda killed Crystal (Nuha Jes Izman) after confessing to her that she destroyed the plane’s black box. In the present, Misty has pushed Walter (Elijah Wood) away and decided to join Lottie’s (Simone Kessell) cult, not believing that Natalie (Juliette Lewis) is there of her own free will.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Yellowjackets” Season 2 Episode 5, “Two Truths and a Lie.”]
Faith can be an interesting thing. In religion, it offers many people comfort and purpose; an explanation for how the world works and a framework with which to live a meaningful life.
Then there is the other kind of faith: Trust. Where religious faith is mostly internal, trusting a person, idea, or institution depends as much on the recipient as on the believer. When you lose faith in someone, it’s because of something they did.
Both types of faith feature prominently in “Yellowjackets” Season 2, Episode 5, “Two Truths and a Lie,” written by Sarah L. Thompson and Katherine Kearns and directed by Ben Semanoff. As storylines explore the companionship and community based on trust, the title invokes a secret third thing: trust betrayed, and its dire consequences in this series. In the wilderness, Lottie (Courtney) Eaton leads the teens in something that...

Netflix has been at the forefront of the entertainment industry for many years now. The streaming platform has produced some of the most talked-about and bingeworthy content in recent times. One such show that has taken the streaming world by storm is The Night Agent.
The gripping political thriller has managed to capture the hearts and minds of audiences worldwide—surpassing expectations. However, it might come as a surprise to many that Netflix almost skipped over this mega-hit show. Here’s why the streaming platform was initially uninterested in the political thriller.
‘The Night Agent’ has broken records for Netflix
The Night Agent (Netflix): Farfetched, but ridiculously entertaining. There's good chemistry between Peter and Rose, attention to the little things, and enjoyable paranoia.

This article contains spoilers for "Yellowjackets" season 2, episode 1.
If you watched "Yellowjackets" season 1, I doubt your favorite character was Callie Sadecki (Sarah Desjardins). The teenage daughter of Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) and Jeff (Warren Kole), she didn't have much personality beyond stereotypical "spoiled teenage daughter" character tropes. Callie's most memorable scene in season 1 was at her expense; in episode 5, "Blood Hive," Callie discovers her mom is cheating on her dad with Adam (Peter Gadiot). Callie tries to blackmail Shauna by threatening to tell Jeff, only to back down once Shauna explains how ruinous a divorce would be for Callie.
Shauna's affair with Adam ended with her murdering him. Now this season, she and Jeff (who is standing by her after several mutual misunderstandings) are trying to keep the crime covered up. Callie has been suspicious since she saw a missing person's report on Adam and grows even more distant from her parents.

Episode five of “Yellowjackets” Season 2, “Two Truths and a Lie,” presents a dramatic transition. To what, exactly? The destination remains obscured, but this episode makes it abundantly clear that whatever is coming, it’s terrible news for the Yellowjackets. “Two Truths and a Lie” thrillingly marks the slow beginning of converging plotlines, setting up the potential for an unseen common enemy or force in both timelines. Until then, it plunges its characters deeper into turmoil and danger.
The episode starts with a proper introduction to adult Van (Lauren Ambrose), the owner of a video store adorably named “While You Were Streaming.” Her reunion with Tai (Tawny Cypress) comes fraught with high emotions, though it doesn’t get the emphasis you’d expect. Instead, it’s more about Nat (Juliette Lewis) and Lottie’s (Simone Kessell) tenuous truce to uncover the truth behind Travis’s death and Shauna’s (Melanie Lynskey...
