Exclusive: Deadline has exclusive first look photos for Pink Flags, an indie thriller starring married actors Raye Levine Spielberg & Sawyer Spielberg (Merry Good Enough), which is currently finishing up post.
Written and directed by Misha Calvert, the film follows figure skater Liberty (Levine Spielberg) as she is stalked, or so she thinks, by a strange man (Spielberg) who appears at her ice rink. She starts stalking him back and finds herself in a series of beautiful but disturbing visions while she attempts to solve the mystery.
Channeling the style of classic paranoid thrillers of the ’70s, the film also stars Nick Creegan (Batwoman). Cronin Cullen and Calvert produced alongside associate producers Olivia Winn and Shrevy Venkatesh, and consulting producer Federica Belletti, with Shona Tuckman among the EPs. Check out the stills from Pink Flags below.

War Story
Director: Mark Jackson

Producers: Kristin Gore, Catherine Keener, Matt Ratner, Shona Tuckman
U.S. Distributor: Rights Available
Cast: Catherine Keener, Hafsia Herzi, Ben Kingsley
A simmering indie gem that the international film fest circuit and indie industry folk championed, Mark Jackson’s psychologically twisted, stylistically polished Without might just be the perfect bedfellow for the Sundance preemed sophomore film. Working from a stunning, murky photographed palette, War Story is lead by a Catherine Keener who exquisitely deciphers the knee-deep psychotropic post-war affects in isolating, alienating, trenches.
Gist: Lee (Keener) is a war photographer who has spent her adult life in the world’s most treacherous conflict zones, documenting the catastrophes of others. When we meet her, she has recently experienced her own horror after being taken hostage and brutalized in Libya. Instead of returning to New York where her concerned colleagues and loved ones anxiously await her,...

His brilliant feature debut Without, broke out in Park City….but at the neighboring, competing fest. From Slamdance onwards (BFI London, Deauville, Chicago, Locarno Film Fests) with indie cred nominations for Best Film Not Playing at a Theater Near You (Gotham Awards) and Someone to Watch (Film Independent Spirit Awards) Mark Jackson firmly planted a flag pole for his brand of indie. And one of the most anticipated American indie films for ’14 isn’t shot on the west coast like he did with his debut, but of all places Sicily. Supported by the Cinereach folks, War Story will count as Kristin Gore’s first official screenwriting cred (Nailed is collecting dust) and Jackson managed to lasso Catherine Keener, Hafsia Herzi and Ben Kingsley as his main trio, works once again with musical whizkid Dave Eggar and cinematographer/Park City habitual Reed Morano.
