John S. McCain Jr. was born on January 17, 1911 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, USA. He was a writer, known for Seapower (1964), The Fighting Lady (1944) and Firing Line (1966). He was married to Roberta Wright. He died on March 22, 1981 in in air over the North Atlantic.
