In 2008, Louie placed as a semi-finalist for Krazy Glue's online
video contest for creating a commercial.
Immediately following that, Louie became involved on the website take180.com. She grew in member rank, starting out as an intern and rising to director, executive, studio chief, and finally to mogul by commenting on and critiquing challenge entries, placing as a top reviewer on challenges, placing as a finalist in challenges, as well as winning challenges.
On take180.com, Louie received two Producer Choice Awards signifying her role in two T180 webisodes.
In 2008, Louie joined Zotfilm and Film-Arts-Drama-Alliance (FADA). For Zotfilm's first project Dear Brother (2009), a parody of SNL's Dear Sister, Louie served as an actor and videographer. Through FADA, Louie connected with creative minds who were seeking cast and crew members for films. Louie served as a voice actor, lead actor, and light grip on various projects.
In the spring 2010 and winter 2011, Louie held different positions for two productions by Wiseman Visuals. In 2010, Louie was the light grip for the short Unsolve, and in 2011, Louie was the script supervisor for Betray.
For her video contribution to the game Truth or Lies' Casting Call in the summer of 2010, Louie received a Wii version of the game.
In the fall of 2010, Louie won 2nd prize in Barrett Moving's "Fess Your Mess and Win" Contest for her "Prop Central" video submission.
In the spring of 2011, Louie's video about applied ethics was posted on a university's website. Around the same time, Louie won the Mother's Day video contest by Rio Roses.
In 2012, Louie was a crew member for The Vagina Monologues. As a crew member, Louie carried components of the set to and from the production truck to the production site, screwed panels of the set together, and broke down the set at the end of each show. She also taped down wires of the lighting equipment to improve safety conditions for the cast, crew, and audience.
In September 2012, more than 100 people submitted videos to the McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union "We Hear You" contest. Louie placed as one of the top five finalists and won an honorable mention prize.
