Alligator hunter Junior Edwards was one of many Swamp People cast members fired in 2015, but he's still hoping to make a comeback on the History reality show. And he needs your help making that happen, he says! So what happened to Junior on Swamp People anyway? Here's how it all went down. As In Touch previously reported, a dozen stars of the reality show were shown the door after Season 6, and fellow cast-off Gator Queen Liz blamed Original Media, the new management of the show's production company. (She also says she was asked to take those accusations offline.) Before long, Junior himself addressed the drama on social media — and addressed some shadiness within the cast. "I see a bunch of posts saying that a certain family was saying that we asked for more money and that's why we are not on the show anymore," he wrote in an August 2015 Facebook post.

There seems to be an onslaught of what we now know as “reality shows” on TV. While reality footage had been sporadically distributed on TV and the Big Screen over the years, it had not been a part of seasonal TV programming. For the most part, all of that changed with the arrival of the “Survival” franchise. Since then, we have seen everything from Mob Wives to House Wives, and everything in between. The show Swamp People is simply another installment of reality TV — or is it? While there are other people in the Swamp People series, Junior Edwards

Willie Edwards made a potentially fatal mistake on the latest episode of "Swamp People." If there's one thing these alligator experts should know, it's that the mouth is the most dangerous part of the animals. So it's important to make sure the gator is completely dead before sticking your hand in its mouth and hauling it onto the boat.
Willie thought a gator was dead and got quite a painful shock when it bit down on his hand. "He almost took my fingers off," Willie shouted after yanking his hand away.
Junior Edwards helped clean up the mess. The bite cut most of Willie's fingers and was so powerful it actually broke his toe as well. He was rushed home for some triage and hope for a full recovery.
It's a dangerous business, not just because of the power of the gator's bite. According to Medscape, "Bites from crocodiles or alligators are usually fatal.
