Pyyramids, the musical project of Tim Nordwind (Ok Go) and Drea Smith (Say/She), recently released a few tracks as a preview to their forthcoming album Brightest Darkest Day. The full-length effort is set for release on April 9. Gearing up for the release, the pair recorded a few stripped-down acoustic videos of their tracks. Last year, the smoky electro-pop duo Pyyramids released the fine six-song Ep Human Beings, a hooky record with darkness and mystery on the margins. It was a nice change of pace for Ok Go bassist Tim Nordwind, who teamed up with singer Drea Smith for the project. In the group's new video for "Don't Go," Pyyramids decide to get cute via a standout performance by a little girl who injects some theatrical sass into the proceedings.
