- Richard enjoyed working alongside John Bach on 'The Cure (2014)' - he had as a child had family who lived on one of the Wanganui streets where a movie that John appeared in ('Pallet on the Floor (1984)' was filmed. Richard says that it was his first foray into seeing anything resembling a film being made. - [on giving The Feckers a name] We had thrown around several names - this was the one that stuck due to it being a bit tongue in cheek, Chris and I both like to have a good laugh and thats also reflected in the personalities of the other people involved with this project, most definitely.
- [on making music videos] We've got a few ideas floating about, but due to restrictions we'll probably wind up putting them together ourselves rather than spend a truckload of money on something too elaborate, as an entity and as individuals none of us are rich (laughs). I like the idea of presenting something that very much sits in with where we are as a unit that best reflects the song/s...I guess that's my acting side coming through really, I like the idea of telling stories with music and images, which again brings me back to the music as a lot of my favourite recordings tend to give me a visual image in the brain, it's just a matter of being able to bring them out of the brain and onto the screen, not always an easy thing to be successful at implementing, but yes we'd like to do it and do have some plans for it.
- I don't take things too seriously, all of my creative pursuits, they're bigger than the talent involved, although I am very fortunate to work with some amazing musicians and film types. To me it's always about the social interaction and the finished product being something I can stomach and something I can look back on fondly in years to come. If there's too much ego involved then I shy away from it.
- I have a wild imagination...there's always things playing out in my head - so it's great to be able to play make believe and the bonus is being able to do it with other people, some of them pretty cool people.
- It's important to me that I show the younger members of my family that it is okay to dream and to go for it - make those dreams come alive.
