Campfire Studios, Axios Media, and Shaquille O’Neal’s Jersey Legends, a division of Authentic Studios, are producers on the project, which will stream exclusively on Prime. It follows a number of notable sports docuseries and doc features on Prime Video, including Coach Prime, an inside look at Colorado’s football program under Deion Sanders, and Kelce, about Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. On a broader level, sports has become a cornerstone of the Amazon-owned streaming service, notably NFL Thursday Night Football. Olivia Dunne, the Lsu gymnast and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model who is one of the most popular influencers on social media, has allegedly run into a TikTok problem.
Dunne noticed that her engagement from her 7.8 million followers was way down, and asked on a video, “Why am I shadow banned?”
The shadowbanning practice allows content to be posted, but severely limits the audience that can see it. Dunne’s last four videos fell below a million views, a benchmark that previously was the lowest a post would draw.
The influencer is reportedly making $1 million per year, making her one of the leading social media stars.
Dunne, 21, has already had some issues with the TikTok platform. Earlier this year, her account disappeared for a brief period.
“It’s a glitch,” Dunne tweeted in response to one person who asked about the disappearance. “Idk what’s wrong with my account right now.

A group of streamers, athletes, and other media personalities are coming together to put a spotlight on women’s sports. The Queens League, an alternative soccer organization led by longtime F.C. Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué, kicked off with its first match on May 6.
The Queens League is the successor to the Kings League, which made a splash earlier this year thanks to its unusual rules and the high-profile owners of its teams. Spanish streamers like Ibai Llanos and TheGrefg (real name David Cánovas Martínez) assembled their own Kings League squads and helped promote the endeavor on their respective streams. Llanos and Cánovas Martínez are known for their record-breaking broadcasts on Twitch.
The Kings League was a smashing success, drawing more than 90,000 fans for its final at Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadium. Less than two months later, top female soccer players from around the world are getting in on the fun.

Following the watershed decision from the National Collegiate Athletic Association allowing college athletes to sign endorsement deals, WME Sports has landed one of the top student players in the nation as a client.
The agency will represent Johnny Juzang, a player for the UCLA Bruins of the Pac-12 Conference, handling his name, image and likeness. Juzang, of Vietnamese descent, began his college career playing one season with the Kentucky Wildcats before transferring to UCLA.
Allowing student athletes to capitalize on their own images not only opens up massive earnings potential for individuals, but new revenue streams for Hollywood agencies in the sports arena. WME Sports also counts clients like gymnast and social media star Olivia Dunne and Jackson State football player Shedeur Sanders (son of Deion Sanders).
As a sophomore with the Bruins in 2021, Juzang was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team and the most outstanding player of the tournament’s east region.

Youth-skewing retailer American Eagle has recruited a team of student athletes -- among them USC Trojans quarterback Kedon Slovis (pictured above), Auburn Tigers running back Tank Bigsby, and Lsu gymnast (and TikTok star) Olivia Dunne -- as part of its brand new influencer program.
AdWeek reports that American Eagle’s #AEAthleticDept initiative arrives after the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) decreed on July 1 that student athletes would finally be able to make money using their name, image, and likeness (Nil) -- including social media activities, brand deals, merch, personal appearances, and more.

When top-ranked Alabama kicks off its 2021 season against Miami this weekend, the Crimson Tide’s new quarterback, Bryce Young, will have already surpassed his predecessors in the newest metric for college sports: earnings away from the football field. On July 1, the NCAA finally allowed college athletes to start signing endorsement deals, otherwise known as Nil deals. The shift is the result of a two-year legal battle — which itself was preceded by decades of growing advocacy to allow collegiate athletes to make money off their image and likeness, after years of colleges being the only ones to profit off of them — that figures to forever alter the college sports landscape. And some of the largest Hollywood agencies like WME and CAA are getting into the newest game in town. CAA, a longtime power in the sports world, made Young and incoming Duke freshman basketball player Paolo Branchero its first two collegiate Nil clients.
