- [on his role in Game of Silence (2016)] Look, Young Terry was one of the most dangerous minds I've ever developed. He was raised differently than I was and had very different life experiences than I have ever had. To find and understand the reasons to result to crime, gun use, fighting, bullying, sexual abuse, gang involvement, family hatred, and murder was the challenge.
- [on his film "Remember To Breathe In The Dark"] ... Vulnerability can be perceived as weakness, but it takes strength to be open, exposing your feelings in any situation. I dedicated this film to not only my father, but to anyone who has lost a parent or loved one, and those who struggle with a speech impediment.
- [on why he produced "Remember To Breathe In The Dark"] It was purely created and filmed to work through the tough process of losing my father; in the best way I knew how.
- [on how he creates characters from script to a person] ... I use my own substance and allow the character to flow through me. I can adjust myself to become a closer version to how I interpret the character, but it's coming through the unique vessel that is me.
- [on discovering his passion for acting] ... I have great parents who both encouraged me at a young age to discover what I wanted to do with my life. I was really aware of how the power of music, television, and film made me feel. Once I realized I wasn't a singer, I tried the drama club in middle school and realized there was a place for me to do what I was already doing for fun - imitating people, playing pretend.
- [on the Viral success of "The Lion King on Clubhouse"] ... It was important for me to keep the reasoning of us doing this at the forefront - to have fun, and bring joy to the families across the clubhouse platform at the end of a hard year for many people. When we had various positive breakout rooms in between our matinee and evening performances, including one with children being able to talk back to the cast, we knew we had succeeded in that.
