The X Factor is not just about finding great voices, it also gives the Great British public a stab at getting their mugs on telly. And while many grab their opportunity with both hands by being funny or cute or, y'know, talented, others prefer to jump to the head of the queue by calling themselves something ridiculous.
Indeed, it was iconic pop-art pioneer Andy Warhol who once said everyone will be famous for 15 minutes. However, he never mentioned having to change our names to a foodstuff to do it...
1. Bun 'nd Cheese
"Why not be named after something that we love?" That was the argument put forward by Bun 'nd Cheese, the all-girl trio formed of Pinky, Patty and Peas (Peas!) who sadly failed to make it past the first auditions in 2010.
They forgot the lyrics, even their friends thought they were terrible and even friendly ol' Simon Cowell was speechless.

We're right in the heart of silly season in X Factor land. With memories of James Arthur, Rylan Clark and MK1 (remember them!) slowly drifting away, talk of series 10 and this year's judging lineup had become a hot topic for Saturday night TV fans currently stuck in a pre-Voice/Britain's Got Talent Saturday no-man's land with only D-listers in drag on Let's Dance and some bloke from EastEnders ice skating to save us.
So who will be behind the desk on this year's X Factor? Digital Spy takes a look at the judges merry-go-round to try and figure out who is in and who is out.
Gary Barlow
After two years on the panel and not much talent to show for it (Marcus Collins, Christopher Maloney, Cocozza!) many expected Gary Barlow to be jumping off the X Factor funfair in 2013. He's never looked 100% comfortable with the show's balance between entertainment...

Union J's George Shelley has revealed that he was originally meant to join MK1 on last year's X Factor.
He was rejected from MK1 when member Charlie Rundle said that she didn't think he would fit in, Heat reports.
Shelley was rejected as a solo act at the Boot Camp stage of the competition, but was brought back to join Triple J, who then became Union J.
Shelley said: "The media made out I was forced into [Union J], but I wasn't. The X Factor producers wanted to put me in MK1, but Charlie, the female singer in that band, wouldn't let me.
"She didn't think I'd fit in. So the producers said I could either go in GMD3 or Triple J."
Union J were part of Louis Walsh's Groups category and reached the semi-finals of last year's series, which was eventually won by James Arthur.

Losing X Factor act MK1 have declared that controversial contestant Rylan Clark "will definitely be successful" off the back of the show. The duo - individually known as Charlie Rundle and Simeon Dixon - expressed no resentment towards the former Big Brother applicant for staying in the competition at their expense.
Speaking to Digital Spy following their exit yesterday (October 21), a noticeably downbeat Rundle said: "Rylan will definitely be successful whether it's in TV or as a dancer, or even have his own show. "I definitely would watch it. I've already designated my own section on it. I'd do the weather or the news or something." MK1 also said that although their elimination from The X Factor could be a "blessing in disguise" as they risked "losing [their] identity", (more)...

Strictly Come Dancing has recorded its first ever Sunday night victory over X Factor when comparing the shows' first showings. Jerry Hall's departure from Strictly on October 21 wowed 9.39 million (a 36.6% share) on BBC One, while an average of 9.33m (34.7%) watched Louis Walsh's group MK1 leave The X Factor on ITV. Roughly, Strictly peaked with just over 10m in its 7.30pm to 8pm slot, while The X Factor reached a high of nearly 11m for its climax, and added 300k (1.1%) on ITV1 +1. The Xtra Factor followed with 915k (3.4%) on ITV2 (+1: 151k/0.8%). This means Strictly has done the double over X Factor this weekend, after retaining a lead over its rival on Saturday. But the night belonged to Downton Abbey, which rallied from its previous (October 1) high to a huge 9.69m (36.6%) in (more)...

MK1 became the latest act to be voted off 'The X Factor' last night (21.10.12). The duo - made up of singer-rappers Charlotte Rundle and Simeon Dixon - found themselves alongside Kye Sones in the bottom two and after the judges failed to decide who went, the decision went to deadlock. Host Dermot O'Leary then revealed MK1 had the fewest public voted so would be leaving the talent show. Mentor Louis Walsh admitted he was ''sad'' to see the duo leave the competition but hopes that ''someone will give them a record deal''. He added: ''Charlie and Sim are such good fun. I thought...

Jls have advised MK1 to "stick together" after their elimination from The X Factor. Asked on The Xtra Factor about the group, Aston Merrygold described it as the "start for them". He continued: "They have to move on and go 'what's next?'" Marvin Humes added: "Someone's got to go, every week it's difficult to pinpoint the reason why... maybe they didn't connect with people at home." Asked if the duo have a future in the music business, Humes said: "Yeah, I think they have. They were a band before they came into the show and they obviously had that solid unit and I enjoy watching them, I'm actually gutted they left. Hopefully they'll stick it out and keep going." Jls found themselves in the bottom two when they competed in The X Factor before (more)...

MK1 have become the latest act to be eliminated from The X Factor this evening (October 21). The duo lost out in the sing-off against Kye Sones after both acts received the fewest amount of public votes this weekend. MK1 chose to sing their own interpretation of The Script's 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', while Sones performed 'I Can't Make You Love Me'. However, MK1 were eliminated after the judges voted to take the decision to Deadlock for the third consecutive week. Mentors Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh both opted to save their own acts, with Barlow claiming he thought Sones's performance was one of the strongest sing-off performances he had seen in the competition. The next judge to vote was Nicole Scherzinger, who chose to send home MK1 based on the performances she had just witnessed. (more)...

Tulisa Constostavlos has identified MK1 as her "dark horses" to win The X Factor. The 'Live it Up' singer picked the pair when speaking to Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall on The Xtra Factor. Thirlwall pointed out that her own band had been far from favourites in week one of their series, and asked Contostavlos who she thought might be the dark horses this time. Louis Walsh butted in, saying he was going for Jahmene Douglas. After Consostavlos pointed out that Douglas was already a "strong contender", she went for duo Lotte Rundle and Simeon Dixon. Earlier in the evening, MK1 had been praised by the judges for their performance of (more)...

The X Factor live shows returned in typically overstated style tonight, with a brand new crop of contestants eager to win over the great British public. But who shone for you? Did the newly-renamed District3 float your boat with their version of a Tina Turner tune? Did Lucy Spraggan capture your heart with her self-penned song 'Mountains'? Or perhaps you thought Chris Maloney deserved his Wildcard place with his rendition of Mariah Carey's 'Hero'? Maybe it was MK1 that impressed (more)...

Louis Walsh is ''quietly confident'' a group could win 'The X Factor'. The mentor believes his groups GMD3, MK1 and Union J - and wild card act Times Red - could be in with a shot of winning the show and is confident in all of the bands and their ability to work hard. He said: ''I'm really honest with the guys, I just tell them it's hard work and if they work hard, they'll get it. I'm quietly confident. I think there's a lot of competition. But I do think they are going to get a career like Jls...
