When Marvel Comics decided to end the marriage of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson-Parker in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man, the response from fans was overwhelmingly negative.
That was in 2007 and opinions remain largely the same. The publisher has teased the possibility of them reuniting (they even dated for a while), but it's become clear that their marriage will never be reinstated. On the plus side, Peter and Mj are married with kids in the pages of Jonathan Hickman's Ultimate Spider-Man!
In today's The Spectacular Spider-Men #3, Peter and Miles Morales find themselves unknowingly trapped in their respective dream worlds.
In the latter's case, that involves dating Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, but Peter's is far more noteworthy. Now married with children, we learn that his dream is to be not with Mary Jane, but Gwen Stacy.

Spider-Man has evolved into several versions in the course of Marvel Comics. While most are equally compelling, one version of the Spider-Man story is extremely fascinating. In Dan Slott’s Superior Spider-Man Vol. 4: Necessary Evil, the friendly neighborhood Spidey turns evil in the most enthralling way possible.

If it is hard for you to imagine Spider-Man being evil, this story might change all the perspectives. In the comics, there is a story called Spider-Man: Dying Wish where Peter Parker visits Otto Octavius and the narrative turns into one of the darkest twists in the Spider-Man comics.

Exclusive: The writers room for the new MGM+/Prime Video series Silk: Spider Society is tentatively slated to reconvene in mid to late January, sources tell Deadline.
It would be one of the last series whose writers rooms were up and running when the WGA strike started May 2 to reopen.
The delay prompted Wgaw to notify Amazon Studios last month “that their failure to recommence a number of writing rooms after the strike is a violation of the Strike Termination Agreement (Sta) between the WGA and AMPTP and Article 7 of the Mba,” the guild told Deadline in a statement, adding that “studios are obligated to return writers to work ‘upon termination of the strike,” which happened Sept. 27, and that “the Guild will bring legal action against Amazon and any other studio that violates the Sta to recover compensation, interest on late payments, and benefit contributions due as a result of the delay.

Sony’s intricate web of Spider-Man-related projects is spinning up plans for a spin-off series focusing on Cindy Moon, otherwise known as Silk. According to reports, a cluster of Marvel characters are scuttling toward the small screen after MGM+, and Amazon Prime ordered several live-action series from Sony Pictures Entertainment. The first project swinging out of the deal is Silk: Spider Society, with The Walking Dead’s Angela Kang acting as showrunner.
The deal to bring Sony’s Spider-Verse to streaming services has been in the works for a while. Arrangements to acquire the rights were a nightmare to organize, but now that a linear network for debuts is secured, the show can get on the road. Projects like Silk: Spider Society will debut on MGM+ (which is changing its name in January), then go to Amazon Prime Video in the States. Amazon will also be the show’s international home across 240 countries and territories.

Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television are officially teaming up to carve out their own corner of the superhero craze. A longtime rights-holder for standalone characters such as Marvel's flagship hero Spider-Man and his rogues gallery, the studio that brought you both "Venom" films (with a third on its way), "Morbius," and eventually "Kraven the Hunter," "Madame Web" and "El Muerto" is now moving full speed ahead with multiple Marvel shows on streaming.
The major news comes courtesy of Variety, which reports that the first of many new series will debut on Prime Video with the newly-titled "Silk: Spider Society." This confirms previous rumors indicating that Sony was shopping the series around (which first began development as a feature film) to Amazon Studios, putting the Korean-American hero Cindy Moon front and center. Amazon Prime and Epix are strapping on their web shooters. The streamer and linear channel have developed a deal with Sony Pictures Television to develop multiple television series based on characters related to Marvel Comics icon Spider-Man.
The first show ordered under this multi-series agreement is “Silk: Spider Society,” based on the Marvel Comics superhero Cindy Moon. The show will debut in the United States on the MGM+ linear channel, currently under the name Epix. Globally, the series will stream exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.
According to Amazon, the shows being developed under the deal are based on the “Sony Pictures universe of Marvel characters,” referring to the films that Sony has developed starring characters affiliated with Spider-Man — albeit without the wall-crawler himself. These films include the “Venom” series starring Tom Hardy, this year’s memed-to-death “Morbius,” and the upcoming “Kraven the Hunter” and “Madame Web.

With so much going on in the comic book world it’s impossible to keep your eye on everything. Like most people I tend to follow my favourite creators and characters mostly, but I do like to dip my toe in other waters just to see what’s out there. This Champions book is one of those toe-dips. As the first page makes clear, this book comes on the back of an existing storyline, which I’ll recap in a minute, but for me the hook was two things. Firstly, the name. The Champions is a name with a lot of history in the Marvel Universe, and I say that as someone with a full run of the original 70’s book. This incarnation first came along with Mark Waid and Humberto Ramos back in 2016, essentially to give Marvel a ‘youth’ book.

There’s never been a better time to be a fan of superheroes or diversity in film. After far too long, filmmakers, studios, and audiences are aware that representation on screen matters, and it doesn’t have to come at the cost of a compelling story relatable to everyone. To fans of comic books, however, this seems like common sense. In the past 25 or so years, a deluge of characters from a variety of social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds became beloved and iconic in the eyes of fans. Marvel studios is the biggest powerhouse in the superhero genre right now. They also have two Asian-led solo projects coming in just a few years. First is the character Shang-Chi who, despite his early ties to the Yellow Peril phenomenon, will be a powerful (in all senses of the term) addition to the McU roster. Also coming will be fan-favorite Kamala Khan,...

Since the deal was made with Marvel to send Spider-Man back home in favor of some help crafting said Spiderverse, and after the success of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Sony has announced a bevy of solo flicks in the works, Venom, Spider-man: Far From Home, Silver and Black (Black Cat), Morbius the Living Vampire, and the potentially Spike Lee-helmed Nightwatch.

A movie is in the works based on the Marvel comic “Silk,” which centers on Korean-American superheroine Cindy Moon.
Sony Pictures and producer Amy Pascal are developing the film based on a character that first appeared in “The Amazing Spider-Man #1” in 2014 — created by writer Dan Slott and artist Humberto Ramos. She’s part of the basic Peter Parker storyline about a demonstration on the use of radioactive rays at a science exhibit gone wrong. A spider is exposed to large amounts of radiation and bites Parker — giving him the power to become Spider-Man.
Moon, a student in Parker’s class, is also bitten by the radioactive spider around the same time and gains the ability to move at incredible speed, shoot webs out of her fingertips, and possess an advanced Spider-Sense (known as Silk Sense). Tiffany Espensen played the character in last year’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which Pascal produced with Marvel topper Kevin Feige.

Sony and Spider-Man: Homecoming producer Amy Pascal are set to develop a movie about relatively new Marvel Comics superhero Silk (aka Cindy Moon), according to Deadline.
First appearing in Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 #1 by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos, Moon was bitten by the same radioactive spider that gave Peter Parker his powers (it bit him on the hand before falling onto her ankle and biting her). But while Peter went on to battle evil as everyone’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, Moon ended up being captured by a guy named Ezekiel Sims and stayed in an underground bunker for 13 years, only to emerge much to Parker’s surprise.
So, she’s basically Kimmy Schmidt but also Spider-Man. I’m sold! As far as her powers go, she’s not quite an exact copy of Spidey, as she can shoot webs out of her finger-tips, possesses an eidetic memory and has a...

Sony and producer Amy Pascal are in the early stages of developing a movie adaptation of the Marvel comic book series based on the superhero “Silk,” Deadline reports. The character was created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos and debuted in 2014. Sony and producer Amy Pascal are in early development on a movie adaptation of the Marvel comic Silk, about Korean-American superheroine Cindy Moon, which was created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos.
In the comics, Cindy is a student in Peter Parker’s class who also is bitten by a radioactive spider around the same time as Peter. She gains abilities similar to his, though she is able to shoot webs out of her fingertips, possesses an eidetic memory, and has advanced Spider-Sense (known as Silk Sense) far stronger than Peter’s. She also has less superhuman strength than him but is faster.
While this project will mark the first stand-alone feature for Cindy Moon, it wouldn’t be the first time she appears in the McU. The character was seen in Pascal-produced Spider-Man: Homecoming (played by Tiffany Espensen) as a member of the decathlon team along with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.
