Jimmy Failla isn’t taking over Fox News Chanel, but he has, at least for one short period in the late afternoon, seized control of a portion of its New York ground-floor facilities.
The space is typically devoted to a space for guests to hang out and a section for hair and makeup, but Failla uses it to get himself revved up to tape “Fox News Saturday Night,” a program the network says is devoted less to red-versus-blue rants and more to making people laugh. The hallway leading to his studio was flooded with the sounds of rockabilly and Queen.
“True comedy doesn’t have a political party. Comedy is a party,’ says the 47-year-old comedian, who hails from a family of cops and, prior to his tenure at Fox News was supplementing his stand-up income by driving a New York taxi. “And at a party, you don’t ask...

Donald Trump is furiously attempting to sink a bipartisan border and immigration package that the Senate unveiled on Sunday — so much so that he’s outright lying about having endorsed the bill’s author, Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.).
During an interview on Monday with right-wing radio host Dan Bongino, the former president claimed that he had never endorsed Lankford, one of the chief architects and advocates for the legislation. “Just to correct the record, I did not endorse Senator Lankford, I didn’t do it,” Trump said. “He ran and I didn’t endorse him.

“I believe wholeheartedly that I captured, that night, an angel on film,” Colette Reynolds said in a recent TikTok shared with her 2.2 million followers.
Behind her was a photograph of a tree, at night, with a gauzy white shape visible on a branch. Reynolds, a professional-looking woman with glasses and curled blonde hair in a black turtleneck sweater, identified it as a seraphim, the highest order of angel in Christendom. Oliver Anthony’s “Rich Men North of Richmond” didn’t have significant radio play last week, nor the help of a major label.
But it did have digital sales. A lot of sales. With the backing of conservative influencers like Matt Walsh, Dan Bongino, and Laura Ingraham, who championed the song as a populist message for the working class, it went all the way to Number One on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart on the strength of over 147,000 downloads last week. It’s been less than two weeks since the video for Oliver Anthony’s “Rich Men North of Richmond” made its way onto YouTube and the life of the Farmville, Virginia-based country singer hasn’t been the same since. The once-unknown songwriter, who as recently as August 7 claimed to be living off the grid in a camper with his three dogs, has found the kind of viral success that many musicians dream of with the populist anthem, which has been viewed more than 26 million times in its original upload to YouTube,...

Unknown Virginia country singer Oliver Anthony and his song “Rich Men North of Richmond” have had an unusual, stratospheric rise over the past several days as the track, championed by conservative pundits and politicians, has unexpectedly become one of the best-selling songs in the country this week. “Rich Men” now sits atop Apple Music and Spotify’s U.S. charts along with the iTunes sales chart, and Anthony — wholly anonymous until last week — is now among the strongest contenders for a Number One on Billboard’s Hot 100 next week.

Right-wing influencers are losing their minds over a new country song that just appeared on streaming services today. “Rich Men North of Richmond” is a passionate screed against the state of the country sung by Oliver Anthony, who identifies as a farmer living off the grid with his three dogs in Farmville, Virginia. In a video Anthony posted to YouTube earlier this month, he says he started writing songs in 2021 after he “wasted a lot of nights getting high and getting drunk.”

Fox News Channel’s Shannon Bream is penning a very unique legacy — figuratively and literally. She not only recently became “Fox News Sunday”‘s first-ever female anchor, but she’s riding high off her third consecutive New York Times bestseller titled, “Love Stories of the Bible,” published by Fox News Books, where she is a founding author.
Bream joined Fox News in 2007 as a Washington D.C-based correspondent covering the Supreme Court. In addition to her role as Sunday anchor, Bream is a Chief Legal Correspondent for the network and host of “Livin’ the Bream,” a podcast on Fox News Radio where she shares inspirational stories, personal anecdotes and an insider’s perspective on actions and rulings from the high court.

Fox News is facing another defamation lawsuit, this time from the former executive director of a Department of Homeland Security division tasked with monitoring the threat of disinformation.
Nina Jankowicz sued the network and parent Fox Corp. in Delaware Superior Court. That’s the same venue where Dominion Voting Systems was poised to go to trial in its case against the company before Fox agreed to pay a whopping $787.5 million to settle it.
In her lawsuit (read it here), Jankowicz claimed that the network last year began a “malicious campaign of destruction” against her.
“Over the course of eight months in 2022, Fox talked about Jankowicz more than 300 times,” according to the lawsuit. “Across its broadcast and online publications, Fox’s employee hosts and commentators derided and lied about Jankowicz on repeat—and continue to do so even today.”

Newsmax Accuses Murdochs of Designing a ‘New-World-Order Globalist Kill List’ Against Tucker Carlson

Bongino’s two YouTube channels, including his main channel that most recently had about 882,000 subscribers, have been removed from the platform. In addition, he is barred from establishing any YouTube channels in the future.

Dan Bongino, the right-wing radio commentator who hosts a weekly Fox News series, has been permanently suspended from YouTube.
“We terminated Dan Bongino’s channels for circumventing our Terms of Service by posting a video while there was an active strike and suspension associated with the account,” a spokesperson for YouTube said. “When a channel receives a strike, it is against our Terms of Service to post content or use another channel to circumvent the suspension. If a channel is terminated, the uploader is unable to use, own or create any other YouTube channels.”
YouTube issued a seven-day suspension on Bongino’s account on Jan. 20 for violating the platforms Covid misinformation policies. The main channel for The Dan Bongino Show then uploaded content within the seven-day suspension period, which led to the termination of both channels.
The spokesperson said that channels that “repeatedly or egregiously” violate terms of service are terminated.

Fox News will install Lawrence Jones and Brian Kilmeade in new solo hours on Saturday nights, filling two holes vacated when the Fox Corp.-backed network moved Jesse Watters and Jeanine Pirro to new weekday duties.
As part of the overhaul, Dan Bongino’s show will move to 9 p.m. from 10 p.m. eastern, anchoring between Kilmeade at 9 p.m,. and Jones at 10, creating a three-hour opinion block that starts in early evening. The new lineup will kick off January 29.
The moves elevate an up-and-coming presence at Fox News as well as one of its veterans. Jones, a former activist for conservative and libertarian causes, joined Fox News in 2018, often leading “people in the street” segments during Sean Hannity’s primetime show. He was later given duties on “Fox & Friends,” where he has filled in for the trio of regular hosts, which include Kilmeade. Jones also did time as...

Updated: Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham addressed the release of text messages they sent to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows as the January 6 siege on the Capitol unfolded, in which they each urged him to get the president to speak out and get the rioters to stop.
Hannity insisted to viewers that he says “the same thing in private that I say to all of you,” after the release of the message. in which he wrote to Meadows, “Can he make a statement, ask people to leave the Capitol?”
On his show on Tuesday, Hannity said, “Surprise, surprise, surprise: I said to Mark Meadows the exact same thing I was saying live on the radio at that time and on TV that night on January 6 and well beyond January 6. And by the way, where is the outrage in the media over my private text messages being released again publicly?...

The battle royale among members of the conspiracy-loving far-right continued to rage this week as former Trump attorney Lin Wood accused the conservative media and possibly Trump allies like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Michael Flynn of being “Deep State” operatives.
Wood, a conservative pro-Trump attorney and prominent QAnon believer, was briefly involved with the defense team for Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who was acquitted of homicide and attempted homicide for shooting three people, killing two, at a racial justice protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Fox News’ Dan Bongino added to the growing catalogue of recorded taping mishaps this week when he shared a video of himself swatting away a “bastard” fly.
The “Unfiltered” host aired a montage of his bug battle Saturday and crossposted it to social media. He warned viewers that “during commercial breaks, things happen” and the clips included “gruesome violence.”
The clips showed him saying he was going to “kill this freakin’ fly,” calling it a “little bastard” and questioning whether it was “a far-left fly” or “a Biden bug.” He said he was “ready to fumigate the whole house with deadly chemicals just to kill these things, just to prove a point.”
Bongino is neither the first host to face technical difficulties — especially while working and broadcasting from home, as so many have done during the coronavirus pandemic — nor the first public figure to deal specifically with bugs while cameras were rolling.

Fox News host Dan Bongino is not happy with the network after it edited a clip of a recent interview with former President Donald Trump, a move that sparked swift backlash from Bongino’s own conservative (and fiercely pro-Trump) fan base.
Bongino’s interview with Trump aired August 7. In it, Trump called the 2020 election he lost to President Joe Biden fraudulent and once again falsely claimed that he had won. The full Trump quote is as follows:
It’s a disgrace what’s happening, and I don’t think the country’s going to stand for it much longer, they are disgusted. You have a fake election, you have an election with voter abuse and voter fraud like nobody’s ever seen before, and based on that, and based on what happened, they are destroying our country, whether it’s at the border, whether it’s on crime, and plenty of instances,...

By the time CNN’s new streaming service CNN+ debuts in early 2022, Fox News will have launched its third streaming service. MSNBC, meanwhile, has been creating content for NBCUniversal’s Peacock. With such a late start, can CNN learn from the innovation of its two biggest cable news competitors? Gary Kaltbaum, president of Kaltbaum Capital Management and host of the nationally syndicated radio show “Investor’s Edge,” sees one way CNN can copy the success of Fox News’ Fox Nation: “Use some of your best and popular talent,” he advised. Kaltbaum pointed to Fox Nation’s programming from Fox News primetime host Tucker Carlson, who helms the most popular show in cable news, as well as shows by Nancy Grace, Dan Bongino and Lara Logan, all of whom “are household names” who draw viewers from television to streaming. Hub Entertainment Research founder and principal Jon Giegengack said CNN has some advantages in waiting.

Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera took his spat with Dan Bongino from “Hannity” Thursday night to Twitter Friday morning.
“Tuesday #Florida suffered over 17,000 new Covid cases; on Wednesday another 17,000 new cases.
I was right. @dbongino-as usual-was full of sh–. And he owes me a $1000. Speaking of bullsh–, popular #GovRonDeSantis better stop gaslighting & pay attention to his afflicted state,” the correspondent at large wrote.
The expletives were a step up in intensity following Thursday’s on-air brawl, during which Rivera said Bongino is “full of crap.”
When the topic turned to Florida and Gov. Ron DeSantis’ resistance to Covid-19 regulations on Thursday night’s “Hannity,” Bongino said, “Geraldo doesn’t know about Ron DeSantis. He doesn’t know the numbers. I live here …”
Rivera interrupted, saying, “What do you mean, I don’t — I just looked at the numbers. Google it, man! Google it! Oh, you are so full of crap. You are so full of crap.

Clay Travis and Buck Sexton have been confirmed as the permanent replacements for longtime conservative talk radio fixture Rush Limbaugh.
The duo will take over the daytime slot June 21, with plans to preserve it as a bastion of right-wing talk, albeit from a younger perspective. Limbaugh died in February at age 70, after wielding considerable influence in conservative circles for decades. Gaining traction during the presidency of Bill Clinton, he pioneered a brand of talk radio that proved enormously lucrative but also contributed to the political divisions in the U.S. Former President Donald Trump joined a number of Republicans in paying tribute to Limbaugh upon his death, though some outside the conservative establishment did not mourn his loss.

Gowdy will host a 7 p.m. program on Sundays while Bongino will lead a 10 p.m. program on Saturday. Fox News said its “The Big Saturday Show” and “The Big Sunday Show,” which have been airing at 5 p.m. on weekends, will become a permanent part of the schedule. Toxic masculinity combined with current events Wednesday to create a very entertaining train wreck during Sean Hannity’s Fox News show. New York, Feb 2 (Ians) The claim that social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube suppress conservatives is not just untrue but is itself a form of disinformation, a falsehood with no reliable evidence to support it, says a new report from New York University's Stern Center for Business and Human Rights.
Former US President Donald Trump also accused major social media companies of censoring the political right.
In response to Twitter's decision to exclude him from the platform on January 8, Trump accused the company of "banning free speech" in coordination with "the Democrats and Radical Left."
But the new report said that no trustworthy large-scale studies have determined that conservative content is being removed for ideological reasons or that searches are being manipulated to favour liberal interests.
Even anecdotal evidence of supposed bias tends to crumble under close examination, wrote the authors of the report Paul Barrett and J.

President Trump’s White House tenure is over, but some members of the far-right media think there’s more of the now-former Commander-in-Chief’s story to tell.
Several of the outlets, many of which have gained a reputation in media circles for promoting opinions based on falsehoods, spent part of a day devoted to the inauguration of a new president (Joe Biden) devoted to maintaining some echo of the one he replaced (Donald Trump).
