- David Silverman was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1977. He attended high school at Ridgewood Preparatory School in Metairie Louisiana. After moving to Scottsdale Arizona with his father in 1996, he then attended Arizona State University where he studied plant microbiology. While attending ASU, he DJ'ed in local clubs, where he quickly learned to make quality recordings of himself. This spawned his interest in the recording arts and a passion for audio engineering. Knowing he wanted to do this for the rest of his life, he enrolled himself in The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in 2001 where he learned analog and digital recording techniques, midi sequencing, live sound engineering, Pro Tools certifications, and microphone placement. After attending C.R.A.S., he then returned home to New Orleans, where he worked in several recording studios, as well as mixing live sound for local and national music festivals, music venues and night clubs. When Hurricane Katrina destroyed his home as well as all the venues and recording studios in the city, he had to find another facet of audio engineering, and quickly. He bought sound mixing gear used in television and film, and quickly cut his teeth working for the likes of CNN, MSNBC, and several other ENG gigs with all the hurricane coverage in New Orleans for the next year. Word spread, and David was inundated with work for reality television, ENG work, and in 2010 concentrated more on film work, loving the process from beginning to end. David still works in area recording studios and venues, as well as doing whole seasons of television shows and films. He has his hand in everything these days!- IMDb Mini Biography By: James Bergeron
