ABC News Studios is adding the new true-crime documentary series The Interrogation Tapes: A Special Edition of 20/20 to ABC’s primetime lineup in April 2024. The series, premiering on April 1st, will delve into recent criminal cases, focusing on interrogations conducted in each specific case. New one-hour episodes will air on Mondays at 10pm Et/Pt.
The series is executive produced by Janice Johnston, Eamon Mcniff, Remy Weber, and ABC News Studios’ David Solan. Lisa Soloway serves as executive editorial producer.

Season two of ABC News Studios’ true crime drama Death in the Dorms will return for season two on Thursday, February 22, 2024. ABC News Studios also announced two brand new docuseries – Daughters of the Cult and Me, Hereafter – will stream on Hulu next year.
Season one of Death in the Dorms premiered on January 5, 2023 and included investigations of Western Kentucky University, University of South Carolina, University of Florida, and UCLA. ABC News Studios’ Carrie Cook executive produces along with Myles Reiff, Yes, Like The River’s Nile Cappello, and The Intellectual Property Corporation’s Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman. Exclusive: ABC News Studios continues to provide true-crime docuseries to Hulu.
The studio is behind two new series for the streamer including Daughters of the Cult and Me, Hereafter as well as a second season of Death in the Dorms.
It is the third slate of true-crime docs from ABC News Studios since its 2022 launch and follows series such as Killing County, Betrayal: The Perfect Husband and three seasons of Wild Crime.
Daughters of the Cult, which launches on January 4, is a five-episode deep-dive into the history of a splinter group of Mormon fundamentalist cult members who perpetrated a deadly wave of violence and abuse for decades in the name of their fanatical prophet, Ervil LeBaron. Dubbed the “Mormon Manson,” LeBaron and his followers were hidden in plain sight throughout the Southwest and Mexico. Now, past members of the infamous cult tell the true story behind the string of murderous crimes.

George Stephanopoulos has launched a production company for ABC News, with the first two projects to stream on Hulu this month and November.
George Stephanopoulos Productions will produce nonfiction long-form projects that include interviews and investigations across The Walt Disney Co. platforms, including ABC, Disney+, FX, Hulu and National Geographic.
The first, Out of the Shadows: The Man Behind the Steele Dossier, will feature Stephanopoulos’ interview with MI6 spy Christopher Steele. It will begin streaming on Monday on Hulu.
The second, The Informant: Fear and Faith in the Heartland, will feature a look at the FBI’s thwarting of a homegrown terrorist attack. It will start streaming on Hulu on Nov. 1. Jennifer Joseph is executive producer of the production unit, and Eamon McNiff is also an EP on The Informant.

Viewers of ABC are accustomed to seeing George Stephanopoulos each weekday morning on “Good Morning America” and on Sundays on “This Week.” Soon, they may be able to see more of his work at many different times.
Stephanopoulos will debut two long-form programs on Hulu, all part of a new production company ABC News is launching with him. George Stephanopoulos Productions is expected to specialize in nonfiction projects that include news-making interviews as well as investigative journalism, and its launch was announced by Kim Godwin, ABC News’ president. Stephanopoulos, who has worked at ABC News since joining as a political analyst after a term as an adviser in President Bill Clinton’s White House, is expected to produce projects across Walt Disney properties that include ABC, Disney Plus, FX, Hulu and National Geographic.
“There are so many important stories out there to be told,” Stephanopoulos said in a prepared statement.
