In the history of the GDMAs thus far, Swift is the only artist who has won Artist of the Year. She’s also the only artist who has won Record of the Year and Song of the Year. But her Album of the Year victory for “Midnights” is only her second in that race. She previously won in 2021 for “Folklore,” but Lana Del Rey claimed that honor in 2022 for “Chemtrails Over the Country Club” and Beyonce prevailed in 2023 for “Renaissance.”

The Head and the Heart have released “Virginia (Wind in the Night),” the second track from their upcoming album, Every Shade of Blue, out April 29 via Warner.
”Being from Virginia, for me this song represents a long and winding relationship to place — a place that is grounding,” singer Jonathan Russell said in a statement about the Jesse Shatkin-produced track. “I’m often drawing on my life through symbolism as a way into someone else’s psyche. It’s part of my search for a deeper connection without having to compare our experiences directly.

In the years since Clarkson’s “Idol” coronation, the show has been inconsistent in delivering artists with lasting music careers, though standouts like Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson have also stood the test of time. Clarkson was actually the first “Idol” alum to win a Grammy, claiming Best Female Pop Vocal Performance (“Since U Been Gone”) and Best Pop Album (“Breakaway”) in 2006. As Randy Jackson would say, Kelly Clarkson can sing the phone book — and she’ll be flaunting that impressive range on her next album.
And while the Grammy-winning pop star has plans to do a country album, her next record likely won’t be a twangy one.
“It’s definitely not like the pop-rock anthems people are used to, but they’re different kind of anthems. They’re still [about] empowerment and big, huge songs, but they’re delivered in a different way,” the singer told People last week at a Good Housekeeping luncheon celebrating her new children’s book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby.

The 2015 GRAMMYs are almost here and we're picking favorites!
Well, maybe not favorites -- but ETonline.com is breaking down which artists we think will walk away from Sunday's ceremony with some shiny new hardware in the top categories.

Record Of The Year
Nominees:
“Fancy” Iggy Azalea feat. Charli Xcx
“Chandelier” Sia
“Stay With Me (Darkchild Version)” Sam Smith
“Shake It Off” Taylor Swift
“All About That Bass” Meghan Trainor
Winner?
We've gotta go with Sia on this one, although she has some stiff competition in Smith and Swift. Before you Swifties get all up in arms, hear us out: we love “Shake It Off” as much as the next person, but of the seven GRAMMYs Swift already has, not one of them is for Record or Song of the Year. She could very likely nab the award for Best Pop Solo Performance, but Record of the Year will be tough.
