Exclusive: Abigail Palmer has been promoted to Literary Manager at Navigation Media Group, the management and production company launched in 2022 by veteran lit managers James Engle & Ben C. Silverman, which reps creators in film and television.
Palmer has been with the company since 2022 and previously served as Junior Manager. Prior to that, she was an assistant and eventually coordinator at Intellectual Property Group, where she worked with notable authors and learned the business of IP. Dedicated to supporting and advocating for female, Queer, and underrepresented talent across all media formats and genres, she currently manages a roster that includes Jess Carson (The Flash), Grace Ding (Walker: Independence), Victoria González (Saved by the Bell), Kate McLaughlin and Stacey Maltin (Triple Threat).

Lubezki, best known by his nickname “Chivo,” won the Academy Award in three consecutive years starting in 2013 for “Gravity,” “Birdman” and “The Revenant,” all directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.
Russell will direct the movie from his own script. Plot details are being kept under wraps. Executives are hoping to start production in the spring.
Matthew Budman is producing. New Regency will produce and distribute through its deal with 20th Century Studios — formerly known as Fox. The news was first reported by Deadline.

One of the many treats – well, 26 of the many treats – awaiting attendees of Horror Channel FrightFest in London at the end of the month is the short film showcase, that’s just been announced.
Across three days, 26 short genre movies will be screened, including 12 from the UK. Den Of Geek alumnus James Moran’s Blood Shed, starring Shaun Dooley, Sally Phillips and a garden shed, is screening. As is Katie Bonham’s Mab, Sean Healy’s Judgement and Stefano Nurro’s Hum.
