UK sales outfit Embankment Films has appointed former Celsius and Independent executive Calum Gray as head of sales with immediate effect.
At Embankment Gray will work on a slate including Andrew Garfield drama Breathe, James McAvoy and Alicia Vikander love story Submergence, Glenn Close drama The Wife and biopic Churchill starring Brian Cox.
Former head of sales Sharon Lee is to temporarily relocate to Amsterdam from where she will continue to oversee sales in a number of key territories, including all Asian markets.
Recently headed into production for Embankment are Melanie Laurent’s Galveston, written by True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto and starring Ben Foster and Elle Fanning, and Ian Bonhôte’s Alexander McQueen feature doc McQueen.

Exclusive: Mad Men and Spotlight star to play opposite Brian Cox in Churchill, one of five films in production for Embankment Films.
Mad Men and Spotlight star John Slattery will play Us Army General Dwight D. Eisenhower in upcoming biopic Churchill, which will star Brian Cox as the eponymous British war-time leader.
Shoot is due to get underway on May 23 in Scotland on the feature from The Railway Man director Jonathan Teplitzky.
Miranda Richardson and Suki Waterhouse will co-star in the feature, which Embankment Films launched at Afm last year and will continue selling in Cannes.
Eisenhower served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe during World War II and would go on to serve as 34th President of the Us from 1953 until 1961.
Stanley Tucci had previously been lined up for the role but was unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts.

The BFI is to host an afternoon of panel and Q&A sessions with UK film industry experts on Wednesday (April 15) to demystify international film festivals and markets.
Ahead of Cannes, but relevant to all major festivals, the afternoon is aimed at new filmmakers, and will cover a host of topics including: the role of festivals and markets; when and how to work with sales agents; planning for a market and drawing up a promotional plan; and ‘Croisette etiquette’ - how to have a good Cannes.
Representatives from the BFI, British Council, Film Export UK, UK sales agents and experienced producers, trade journalists and film publicists.
There will opportunities to ask questions after each session, and the event will be followed by networking drinks.

New sales exec was most recently at French broadcaster TF1.
Sara May has joined Embankment Films to steer activities in European sales, co-productions and acquisitions.
She was most recently evp of acquisitions and co-productions at TF1, where she spent nearly 10 years and acquired distribution rights for France as well as sourcing, developing and packaging for the international sales division.
Prior to TF1, Sara held positions at Europacorp as head of acquisitions and M6 as program supervisor for English-language TV series.
