Despite having chances of once again flourishing in the industry like before, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is seemingly taking the hard way by making brutal changes to its characters and transforming the franchise into what fans’ have been terming as “M-She-u” lately.
While this change is clearly not sitting well with fans — especially those who have been attached to the onscreen projects and comics alike right from the start — the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot film has reportedly been caught up in this fire as well.
The Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
According to the insights shared by industry insiders Jeff Sneider and John Rocha on their podcast The Hot Mic in November last year, Marvel is seemingly gender-swapping the Silver Surfer; the very character who has only appeared once onscreen in 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

In a recent episode of Loki season 2, Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes travel to 1863 Chicago. There, they find a young boy and give him a Tva handbook written by Ke Huy Quan’s Tva technician, Ouroboros. The next time we see that boy in 1893, he’s a man going by the name of Victor Timely who has studied the details of that book and is now able to invent the contraptions inside it, including the temporal loom that will become the center of the Tva.
This, of course, raises a question. Who really started the Tva? We’ve been told that the Tva was founded by He Who Remains, the man who Victor Timely will become. But now Loki shows that Victor/Hwr got the idea for the Tva from Ob’s book. How can He Who Remains be both the inspiration and be inspired?
The answer, of course, is time travel.

Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Doctor Strange next year. The 46-year-old actor has played the character in six Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies since making his debut in 2016's 'Doctor Strange', and teased he's set to don the iconic costume once again, though didn't make it clear if it would be for a follow-up to 2022's 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness', or another film set in the comic book world.Speaking during the JW3 Speaker Series, he teased: “There are some Marvel capers in the making next year."It is possible the actor could have been referring to an appearance in the recently-delayed 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty'.However, a post-credits scene in 'Multiverse of Madness' saw Doctor Strange told he had "caused and incursion and we're going to fix it" by newly-introduced character Clea, played by Charlize Theron. And the film's writer, Michael Waldron, later told...

Hollywood star Benedict Cumberbatch is not done playing Doctor Strange in the MarvelCinematic Universe as he recently hinted at his return in a new movie next year.
“There are some Marvel capers in the making next year,” Cumberbatch said while being a guest in the ‘JW3 Speaker Series’, reports ‘Deadline’.
It’s not clear if Cumberbatch is referring to a standalone ‘Doctor Strange’ sequel or if he’s making an appearance in another film of the MCU like ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’, which was recently delayed.
Cumberbatch first played Dr. Stephen Strange in the 2016 film ‘Doctor Strange’. The actor would reprise his role in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ (2017), ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (2018), ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019), ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (2021) and ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ (2022). General Zod is back, in action figure form! At least, that’s what it felt like to Michael Shannon, who plays Zod in the Dceu. Shannon’s Zod faced off with Henry Cavill’s Superman in Man of Steel, which ended badly for the Kryptonian General. But thanks to Barry Allen’s time travel shenanigans in The Flash, Shannon gets to reprise his role as Zod. And the famously plain-speaking actor isn’t terribly excited about it.
When asked by Collider how he felt returning to play the baddie, Shannon did not hold back. “Yeah. I’m not gonna lie, it wasn’t quite satisfying for me, as an actor,” he admitted. “These multiverse movies are like somebody playing with action figures. It’s like, “Here’s this person. Here’s that person. And they’re fighting!” It’s not quite the in-depth character study situation that I honestly felt Man of Steel was.

This article contains Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse spoilers
Sony is giving the Marvel Cinematic Universe a run for its money, and much like there’s no stopping the ever-expanding multiverse, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has weaved a complex web of Spider-People into the lives of Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld).
While Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (Ssu) struggles to find where it fits alongside the MCU, Across the Spider-Verse brings us one step closer to a unified Spider-Family. We’re a far cry from those feuds between Disney and Sony – where it looked like Tom Holland’s wall-crawling hero would be annexed – but that doesn’t mean both sides are quite agreeing on everything.

Nicholas Hoult recently made headlines for revealing he lost roles in “The Batman,” “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” and “Top Gun: Maverick” in a row, but that’s nothing compared to the handful of A-list projects Rachel McAdams consecutively turned down in the mid aughts. As revealed in her new Bustle profile, McAdams turned down offers for “The Devil Wears Prada,” “Casino Royale,” “Mission: Impossible III,” “Iron Man” and “Get Smart” in the two-year period where she moved back to Canada following a rise in Hollywood with “Mean Girls” and “The Notebook.”
“There’s certainly things like ‘I wish I’d done that,’” McAdams said. “[But] I step back and go, ‘That was the right person for that.’”
All five movies which McAdams rejected, released between 2006 and 2008, ended up being box office hits, with “Casino Royale” reigniting the Bond franchise with Daniel Craig in the role (presumably McAdams was...

The third eye of Doctor Strange was revealed just before the credits rolled in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, leaving viewers scratching their heads to make sense of what they had witnessed. Prior to that, during Stephen’s fight with him, Sinister Strange could be seen with a similar third eye on his forehead. The eye is linked to Sinister Strange having used the Dark Arts in his pursuit to find Christine Palmer, the love of his life, and even going as far as to kill his alternate selves. Stephen drops to his knees with a head-splitting headache when

When you’re dealing with movies as enormous as those in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s bound to be a lot of rumours, but once the movie is released, fans quickly realize which were true and which weren’t. There were plenty of rumours swirling before the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, including one that claimed Daniel Craig would make an appearance.
It was rumoured that Daniel Craig would have appeared in the Doctor Strange sequel as Balder the Brave, Thor’s brother, and concept art of the character even emerged with Craig’s likeness. But while speaking with BBC Radio 1, Craig dismissed the rumours as just that. “It’s all a rumor,” Craig said with a laugh. “I don’t know where these things come from… There was a lot of lockdown craziness. With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness blowing the doors to the Multiverse wide open, all bets are off about who could join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and when. Alongside the return of Patrick Stewart’s Professor Charles Xavier, we also got Hayley Atwell’s Captain Carter from What…If?, while the fan casting of John Krasinski as Mister Fantastic finally came true. It’s obviously got viewers thinking about their own real-life “what ifs” for castings that nearly were.
Over four phases and 14 years, the great and the good of Hollywood have slipped into their spandex to join the MCU. This might be one of the hottest tickets in town, but whether that dream casting doesn’t work out or the stars themselves pass on the part, it’s not for everyone. Rachel McAdams has been in some of the biggest films ever made. Of course, who could ever forget the iconic Mean Girls, where McAdams played everyone’s favorite villain, Regina George; the actress also starred in Wedding Crashers, Spotlight, The Notebook, Midnight in Paris, and Doctor Strange and the sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as Christine Palmer. It was a bit of a shock for many when McAdams reprised her role in the Marvel sequel, though the 43-year-old accepted that her time in the MCU was one-and-done: “I can’t believe it’s been six years. “Arcane” won the Emmy for Best Animated Program at Saturday evening’s Creative Arts Emmys ceremony. It was the overwhelming favorite to win according to Gold Derby’s combined odds, which were at 16/5. The series also took home three individual juried awards: Julien Georgel (Art Director), Anne-Laure To (Color Script Artist) and Bruno Couchinho (Background Designer).
Their winning episode was “When These Walls Come Tumbling Down.” The episode sees Vi attempting to reunite with Jinx. When they do finally see each other again as Jinx becomes hostile to the presence of Courtney, who Vi brought along. They’re then cornered by the Firelights who capture Vi and Courtney.

If there’s one character who has really increased their stock by jumping off the comic book page and into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s Wong, the current Sorcerer Supreme. No, wait. It’s not easy to break into the Emmy race for Best Animated Program for a show’s first season. Just ask the people behind “Family Guy,” “Archer” and “BoJack Horseman.” But this year, Netflix’s “Arcane” was able to do it and could very well win the prize for its first year of eligibility, becoming the first one to do so since “Over the Garden Wall” in 2015. In order to claim victory, the show will have to beat back three other programs with multiple wins in the category and another freshman series that’s based on the biggest property in cinema.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, fostering epic crossovers and galactic friendships, the “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is a big Phase Four entry with many special guest stars. The first “Doctor Strange” film came out in 2016, which means a lot has happened in the period between movies, including introductions to Captain Marvel, Shang-Chi and the Eternals.
“Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” complicated things a bit for the MCU, as did Marvel’s very first television series “WandaVision,” whose powerful Wanda Maximoff will return to help Doctor Strange learn more about the multiverse.
Directed by Sam Raimi and written by Michael Waldron and Jade Halley Bartlett, “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is bound to make the MCU even more dimensional than it has already grown to be. For those wondering, here’s how to watch it:

This post contains major spoilers for WandaVision, Loki, and What If…?.
Mere weeks after it debuted in theaters, the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe entry Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hit Disney+ on June 22. Great news for fans of superheroes, but there’s always a catch! Multiverse of Madness is the 28th feature film in the franchise, and that’s not counting numerous one-shots and television specials. So while the movie is explicitly a sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange, which traced Dr. Stephen Strange’s journey from arrogant surgeon to Master of the Mystic Arts, it has more in common with several other MCU properties, especially the TV series WandaVision, Loki, and What If…?.
Fortunately, you don’t need to travel to Karmar-Taj and secure a Time Stone to be ready to watch Multiverse of Madness on day one. With this brief refresher, you’ll be caught up on...

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded into television, its musical reach has also grown, embracing diversity both in terms of its composers and the music they make.
English composer Natalie Holt (pictured above) brought unexpected sonorities to “Loki”; Cairo-based Hesham Nazih added specific Egyptian sounds to “Moon Knight”; and American composer Laura Karpman employed a traditional orchestra and choir on the animated “What If…?”
“Loki is sort of a likable baddie,” says Holt, “a grand, Machiavellian, Shakespearean character, so I wanted some kind of gravitas, classical weight, to his theme.”
Yet, in last summer’s six-part series, the Norse god of mischief (Tom Hiddleston) is also playing with time, which suggested more unusual sounds: the wailing of a theremin and its equally eerie French cousin, the ondes Martenot.
“I’d been listening to [Lithuanian theremin virtuoso] Clara Rockmore and [BBC Radiophonic Workshop pioneer] Delia Derbyshire,” Holt explains. “The sound of the theremin has stayed with me...

Updated: After a blink-and-you-missed-it appearance at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Charlize Theron offered a better look today at Clea, the powerful new character she will play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” doesn’t specifically set up who Theron is playing and why she makes her debut minutes into the closing credits of the movie, it does establish that anyone could show up. And as it turns out, anyone happens to be Charlize Theron.
The Oscar-winning actress appears, wielding a big magical sword (one that can tear a hole through universes) and wearing a pretty witchy get-up. She is definitely not of this earth. It’d been six years since Rachel McAdams scrubbed into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dr. Christine Palmer, the will they-or-won’t they love interest of Benedict Cumberbatch’s title hero “Doctor Strange.” But while Cumberbatch went on to join the Avengers in their fight against Thanos in the Infinity Saga, McAdams has been Mia since 2016.
In 2021, though, the Oscar-nominee reprised her role as Christine for the heart wrenching Doctor Strange-centric episode of “What If?” on Disney Plus, but that was a voiceover role. McAdams still seemed like a no-go for the live action sequel. In fact, when Variety reported that Sam Raimi would take over for Scott Derrickson as the director on “Multiverse of Madness,” McAdams was not expected to return.
So what changed?
“Well, I mean, to get to work with Sam,” McAdams said, explaining what sealed the deal for her in an interview with Variety ahead of the movie’s release.

There are spoilers for "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" ahead, so beware!
Listen, I love a good wizard. I find Gandalf and his pipe very comforting. Merlin from "Excalibur" is delightfully weird with his shiny skullcap. Despite my feelings about the person who created him, I still have love for a certain boy wizard. However, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) has done something so mean that I want to revoke his magic privileges. It isn't that he won't bow to Sorcerer Supreme Wong (Benedict Wong), since he rectifies that. It isn't how he messed up his relationship with Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), because she deserves...

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is finally here! And with it comes a host of answers to long-standing fan speculations, the wish-fulfillment of multiple fan-castings and favorite returns, and a even more questions about where this leaves the MCU of the future. Oh yeah, and there’s also a ton of references to Marvel Comics in here.
Here are our favorite ones that we’ve found…
America Chavez
Created by Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta, America Chavez has been kicking around Marvel Comics for over a decade now. Much of what you see from here in this movie is true to the comics, although she’s more inexperienced/unsure of herself than we’ve come for her to be known. [Editor’s note: The following post contains spoilers for “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and its post-credits scenes.]
Sam Raimi’s return to superhero filmmaking does something rare: it sets a massive, sprawling franchise onto a new course, sort of. In “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” Raimi and his cast go zipping through the multiverse (with only some real madness to be found) in hopes of nothing less than saving, well, everything.
The final product is one-half classic MCU stage-setting, one-half Raimi-issued weirdness, gore, wackiness, and genuine scares. And while we won’t get into the many major revelations that populate the film, know this: it’s a film that concludes with both hope and fear for what’s to come. Not too bad, in the grand scheme of things.
Like the rest of “Multiverse of Madness,” the two post-credits scenes that follow the film open up still more possibilities (for the MCU in general and for Doctor Strange in particular) and offer a dash of...

If you’re working in the new multiverse phase of the Marvel Cinematic universe, it’s indeed a juggling act and balancing it all has been screenwriter Michael Waldron.
You can listen to our mind-blowing conversation with Waldron below:
He cut his teeth in the MCU with the Disney+/Marvel series, Loki, which set the stage for the galaxy wars which are bound to erupt under the new bad guy Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) before tackling Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
However, there was another movie that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had to connect to, and that was Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home which also featured Benedict Cumberbatch’s magic maestro. Waldron was already buds with No Way Home scribes...

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses the main post-credit scene in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” currently in theaters.
For as long as he’s been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) — former genius neurosurgeon turned master of the mystical arts — has only had eyes for one person: Dr. Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams). After breaking things off with her in 2016’s “Doctor Strange,” Strange spends a considerable amount of time in its sequel, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” coming to terms that he and Christine were never fated to be together, in any universe.
Turns out, there’s room in the MCU for another woman in Strange’s life. And she’s played by Charlize Theron!
In the post-credits scene of “Multiverse of Madness” — or, technically, the mid-credits scene — we see Strange walking down a Manhattan street when suddenly, a white haired, purple-costumed Theron calls out his name.

Hail to the King, baby. That’s the final line of Sam Raimi’s grooviest Evil Dead movie, Army of Darkness, but for Marvel fans of a certain sensibility, the thought had to spring to mind while watching Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. One might even count Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige among those ranks.
Not since James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy films and Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok has a Marvel director seemed to be so liberated, acting with enough freedom to leave their own stylistic stamp on a Marvel movie. Indeed, Feige recently said at a press conference we attended that “I was a young producer who just felt lucky to be in the same room with [Raimi 20 years ago], and now I’m an old producer that just feels lucky to be in the same room with him again.

"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" has a lot on its plate. There's, of course, the journey of its main character, Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). Then, there's the emotional and physical devastation of the film's antagonist, Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Additionally, the movie introduces America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), gives Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) a lot more to do, and delivers some classic moments for Wong (Benedict Wong).
All of these plots come barreling to a head at the end of the movie. Wanda has captured Wong and America and has them trapped at the top of the mountain where the spells contained in the Darkhold came from. Wanda is moments away from taking America's multiverse-hopping power, which would allow her to control every universe in existence. Meanwhile, Dr. Strange and Christine are trapped in another universe where he has to fight off another Dr. Strange...

As you might have guessed, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" introduces plenty of new characters and new variants of characters we've met before. One of the most intriguing introductions, however, doesn't even happen until the postcredits scene: Clea, a powerful character from the Marvel comics.
Who Is Clea in the Marvel Comics?
Clea is a pretty important character and connected both to Strange and to one of his greatest enemies. She's a powerful sorceress in her own right and actually the niece of Dormammu, the demonic ruler in the Dark Dimension. After trying to help Strange in his battle against Dormammu, Clea is eventually rescued and comes to Earth with Strange, who trains her in the mystical arts.
How Are Clea and Doctor Strange Connected in the Marvel Comics?
Clea also has a more personal connection to Strange: in the comics, she's one of his most significant love interests.

Nothing is forever in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where an entire half of the population can be snapped into and out of existence, superheroes can be cast and re-cast (and re-re-cast), and the most powerful of all beings can build whole universes with nothing but magic and mind power. Given those parameters, it stands to reason that even top-line stars might not always return for sequels, as was almost the case with “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” star Rachel McAdams, who starred in the original film alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and then didn’t seem like a sure thing for its long-gestating sequel.
But McAdams is indeed back for another go-round in the Sam Raimi-directed feature, and with no less than two roles to boot, playing a pair of very different Dr. Christine Palmers in the film, which skips through a number of multiverses, with tweaked versions of...

One of the more winning things about Doctor Strange is that, sentient cloak and magic abilities aside, he always seems like the sort of bloke you could go down the pub and have a laugh with. I mean, sure, the surgeon-turned-sorcerer is a bit on the broody side when it comes to what went wrong with his relationship with Dr Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) - who's heading up the aisle in the film's opening moments - but he's comparatively well-adjusted for a superhero when you consider the likes of Bruce Wayne.
This is also a lot to do with Benedict Cumberbatch's performance. He plays him with an affable air, while just letting something more wounded sparkle like one of the good doctor's spells underneath. Strange's considerations of whether he is "happy" are soon put into perspective, however, when a girl of his dreams - well, one of his nightmares at any rate.

When you bring Sam Raimi into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you can bet you are going to get something different, and that is definitely the case with his pretty scary take on the latest MCU entry, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Although Raimi is well versed in the Marvel comic book world, having directed the first Spider-Man trilogy, he is just as well known for many other genres, certainly for his horror filmography including The Evil Dead, Drag Me to Hell and a lot more, and here he successfully and entertainingly gets to mix that kind of dark terrifying storytelling with beloved established characters in the MCU.
Benedict Cumberbatch returns as Dr. Stephen Strange, a magician, sorcerer and superhero who can conjure up all sorts of colorful spells to save the day, just as he did in his first stand-alone 2016 film and again in MCU movies including Thor: Ragnarok,...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a busy place. With its crisscrossing sequels, superheroes who dart in and out of each other’s movies, and labyrinth of laws and totems and over-the-cosmos-and-far-away lands, it’s become a metastatic playground, the kind of place that even the most ardent comic-book fans have to dedicate themselves to keeping up with. But if you’re the kind of viewer who surveys the Marvel landscape and thinks, “Nope. Sorry. Not busy enough,” the MCU has good news for you: It’s going to get even busier. Last year’s mega-hit “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was a multiverse fantasia that felt like a Rubik’s Cube, though if you ignored the plot gyrations (which were triggered by Doctor Strange), you could sit back and enjoy it as a glorified “SNL” sketch featuring all three of the actors who had played Spider-Man. (How could they occupy the same universe?...

There have been some whispers over the past year that post-Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been kind of… wobbly. Most of that hushed chatter is due to the less than stellar performances, both critically and financially, of films like Black Widow and Eternals, as well as the inconsistent quality of the studio’s Disney+ offerings. Was it possible that the mighty MCU might have lost its direction and momentum once the Infinity Saga ended?
Last December’s acclaimed Spider-Man: No Way Home put a lot of that speculation to rest, and now we’re here to tell you that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness wraps it in a sack and buries it in a rooftop garden.

Ah, summer at the movies. While the movie-going experience has shifted dramatically over the past couple of years — the days of big-bucket-of-popcorn multiplex-going still exist, but they are no longer the primary option for enjoying massive blockbusters or high-brow hits and everything in between — the thrill of a season spent soaking up a wide variety of new films has not abated. The coming months feature the kind of fare long associated with the summer season, from a brand-new Marvel joint to a long-awaited “Top Gun” sequel, the latest entry into the “Jurassic World” franchise and even a new Pixar outing, but there’s even more to find among the bombastic and just plain big titles.

Warning: Huge Spoilers Ahead For “Spider-man: No Way Home”
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” is now in theaters and, like many Marvel movies, it has more than one post-credits scene. Of course, if you’re here, you knew that because you stayed through the very end and need to sort out that true post-credits scene. Well, let’s break down.

It’s commonly accepted that the greatest villain in Fantastic Four history is Doctor Doom, but what’s typically less understood is that the second greatest villain in the F4 pantheon is Reed Richards himself. Or at least parallel versions of him. And what’s absolutely fascinating about the world we live in now is that Marvel seems to be doing their damnedest to turn the movie version of Doctor Strange into the comics version of Reed Richards.
To understand how Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness might take a good chunk of its inspiration from the journey of Reed Richards in Marvel Comics, let’s first take stock of how Doctor Strange has been depicted in the MCU.

Between all the reality-shattering antics and shocking cameos in the "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" marketing so far, it's easy to overlook that Rachel McAdams is back as Stephen Strange's fellow surgeon and former lover, Christine Palmer. There's even a glimpse of Christine walking down the aisle in a wedding dress in the sequel's latest trailer, although it's pretty clear she's getting married to someone other than the Sorcerer Supreme.
Richie Palmer, Marvel Studios' manager of production and development, confirmed as much in an interview for the Spring 2022 issue of Disney's D23 magazine (via The Direct). Lest anyone get their hopes up,...

Speculation is running rampant about the identity of the mysterious fiery person in the new Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness trailer. Is it Captain Marvel gone full Binary? Is it Monica Rambeau powered up? The Human Torch’s first appearance in the MCU? Sunfire quitting the Illuminati? Or is it Vulcan, and DS2 is just a War of Kings adaptation? Probably not the last one.
But there is one very intriguing possibility, a version of Tony Stark that would fit the tone this movie appears to be going for…

Axis was Marvel’s 2014 summer comics crossover event, where, under attack from Red Onslaught (Red Skull with some of Charles Xavier’s brain grafted on), the Scarlet Witch casts a spell to “invert” Red Skull’s brain and bring Xavier’s forward. Unfortunately, the spell also inverted the morality of almost everyone there, including several Avengers,...

This week we got a big first trailer, a TV spot, and a new poster for Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and they were packed full of so many interesting tidbits! Marvel Zombies! Wanda back in Westview! Strange Supreme! Defender Strange! Professor X! The Illuminati! Captain Carter! Rintrah! Gargantos! America Chavez! The Savage Land?! But one thing the trailer didn’t show us was who might be the puppet master of this terrifying multiversal breakdown of reality, despite Mordo pointing his finger straight at Strange.
Marvel’s official synopsis for the highly anticipated movie reveals a little more, however. It confirms that in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Stephen will traverse “the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse” to confront “a mysterious new adversary.” That does seem to...

Time twists for no man — at least, not without repercussions.

Marvel has released a second trailer for “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” which is set to come to theaters on May 6. Many new secrets were aired, including a peek at Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch potentially breaking bad, and a brief audio cameo from what sure sounded like Patrick Stewart reviving his role as Professor X from the “X-Men” series.
As the first standalone sequel for Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), “Multiverse of Madness” follows the Sorcerer Supreme as he tries to contain the aftermath of the multiverse-fracturing spell he cast in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” — which caused villains from across the multiverse to spill over into the central Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline. The film is also set after the events of “WandaVision” and “Loki,” and Doctor Strange teams up with Wanda Maximoff (Olsen).
