From the beginning of Deal or No Deal Island, Stephanie Mitchell found herself playing defense. Early on in the inaugural season, she was targeted as a potential eliminee by some powerful people, but thanks to her signature “determination” (and a well-timed alliance with the so-called “Night Owls”), she managed to make it all the way to the end. She might’ve even gotten to the final two if she’d have just selected a case that was higher than Amy McCoy’s. So how would she have fared in that final excursion with Jordan Fowler? And was she really trying to help her beat the banker (Howie Mandel) in the final temple? Plus, do the cast members have plans to get back together anytime soon? TV Insider caught up with Mitchell to get all the scoop. You were pretty much the only person that was eliminated purely by luck. How did you feel about that?...

It was a long, hard (plus hot and full of bugs) road, but Jordan Fowler managed to beat the banker on Monday’s finale of Deal or No Deal Island. After Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano eliminated himself by coming in last in the foot race, and Stephanie Mitchell’s case didn’t have a high enough value for her to continue forward, it was up to Jordan to defeat her lone remaining competitor Amy McCoy in a balance challenge. And, despite some efforts by Amy to shake her off of the tight rope they both were tasked with crossing, Jordan emerged victorious and had the final chance to face the banker. The banker for this Deal or No Deal spinoff was, perhaps unsurprisingly, original show host Howie Mandel, who was delighted to face someone who also claimed “determination” as their superpower. With the help of all of the season’s contestants,...

Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano had a lot of confidence coming into Deal or No Deal Island, and he still has a lot of confidence after leaving the game, too — even if it isn’t as the inaugural season’s winner (that honor goes instead to Jordan Fowler). During the final group challenge, Rob faced a stiff penalty for looking over at Amy McCoy’s answer, so the Survivor alum had to wait three minutes after the last person departed the station to run through the massive maze and find one of the high-value cases. Being held back was an exceptionally big problem for him this time because, well, two of the last four contenders would be eliminated based on (1) the slowest to finish the race and (2) whoever had the least cash in their case of the remaining three. Though he dug in deep as soon as he could put foot...

The end is near for Season 1 of Deal or No Deal Island, and fans are upset about the first part of the two-part finale.
The season has flown by, and all but four contestants have been eliminated, leaving just Dr. Stephanie Miller, Amy McCoy, and Jordan Fowler, alongside fan-favorite Boston Rob Mariano.
The entire season has been the Boston Rob show, with fans holding their breath each week, hoping he does not get eliminated from the competition.
As reported by Monsters and Critics, fans will not bother to watch another episode when Boston Rob goes home since they feel he makes the show.
Despite everything that has gone on with his alliance mates, Aron Barbell’s elimination, and Amy lying to him as she betrayed him, Boston Rob has held on to the end.
Still, fans will find out who wins in next week’s final episode, as Deal or No Deal Island...

Monday night is the first of a two-part finale for Deal or No Deal Island Season 1, and it promises to be a nail-biter.
Only four contestants are left: Amy McCoy, Dr. Stephanie Mitchell, and Jordan Fowler leaving Boston Rob Mariano as the lone guy.
Boston Rob is the fan favorite who has undoubtedly carried the show. Each week, fans quickly share their thoughts about how Rob is doing and how upset they will be if he goes home.
Deal or No Deal Island differs from the original show because it is featured on a tropical island. A “banker” sequestered in a yacht calls in with deals for the contestant in the hot seat.
Claudia Jordan, an early contestant, was great for continuity since she was on the original as a suitcase model. As previously reported on Monsters and Critics, fans have called her a “lucky charm” for the series.

There are grand prizes, and then there are Deal or No Deal Island-sized grand prizes. NBC’s newest game show, which premiered in February, is already poised to potentially make history in its inaugural season as the final four contestants stand to make more loot than anyone ever has in the history of game shows… as long as that last man or woman standing can best that sneaky banker, of course. On Monday’s episode of the Joe Manganiello-hosted series, titled “Are You Powerful?” the last five contestants in the game — including Survivor alum Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano, Stephanie Mitchell, Amy McCoy, Jordan Fowler, and Aron Barbell — made it through another grueling day in the sand, with Barbell finding himself facing the banker. Unfortunately for him, taking an offer of $1.199 million wasn’t nearly enough to beat his own case, which meant he made a “bad deal” and had to be sent home.

This week’s Deal or No Deal Island competition has whittled the number of contestants from thirteen to five.
Nick Grasso was eliminated in a fierce battle between him and Boston Rob Mariano, resulting in Nick taking the deal from the banker.
Nick leaving the game with $4,417,000 meant Rob stayed another week, and the Night Owls declared that everyone was playing Rob’s game.
Boston Rob Mariano is a reality competition show expert, having been on Survivor and The Amazing Race multiple times, and is the one to beat in the game.
As reported by Monsters and Critics, fans are upset that the so-called Night Owls target Rob and his friend Aron Barbell so fiercely in the game.
But now, some fans speculate that maybe the show is being rigged to favor Rob because so many fans have declared they won’t watch it if he is eliminated.

Deal or No Deal Island Season 1 is turning out to be the Boston Rob Mariano show, and while fans love that, the other contestants do not.
A group has formed against Boston Rob and Aron Barbell that is fixated on trying to eliminate them. The Boston Rob and Aron team is proving to be hard to beat.
This group is named The Night Owls and includes Dr. Stephanie Mitchell, Nick Grasso, Amy McCoy, and the now-eliminated Dawson Addis.
Last week, The Night Owls gang successfully eliminated Aron’s friend in the game, Alyssa Klinzing. In a face-off between Alyssa and The Night Owl leader, Stephanie, Alyssa could not keep her spot on the island.
Aron did not take the evening well and had an anxiety attack, which caused tears and ended with him storming off.
Fans are unhappy that everyone is ganging up on Boston Rob and Aron, with many...
