Hunt is an award-winning, Native American (Cherokee) Director, specializing in documentary and commercial production. After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University, Hunt began his career as a sound engineer in New York City. There, he worked alongside film composers, producing music for Dora the Explorer and various Nickelodeon television shows. Following his time in New York, Hunt produced a series (18) documentary short-films entitled, @1614. The work, profiling artist in Oklahoma, earned Hunt recognition as an emerging Oklahoma filmmaker by Art Focus magazine. Building his impressive resume at 1577 Productions, Hunt's films, Course of Food and BUTCH: Legend of Langston, each won Best Oklahoma Documentary Short at the deadCENTER film festival. In addition to his work in film and television, Hunt has produced and directed a series of nationally broadcast, addy award-winning commercials for Devon Energy. Never one to shy away from complex social issues such as homelessness and water sustainability, Hunt has demonstrated a unique ability to offer audiences an entertaining means of digesting complex stories. Having produced and directed film projects appearing on network television ranging from PBS to FoxSports and screened at film festivals across the country, Hunt is the creative force behind EDDIE, a feature length documentary about legendary basketball coach Eddie Sutton.
