Update: Gwyneth Goes Skiing, the stage musical comedy parody of Gwyneth Paltrow’s infamous ski trial will slide from London to the United States, via Edinburgh, later this year, with Paltrow’s former Glee co-star Darren Criss lending some pre-recorded vocal tracks.
Producer Awkward Productions announced today on social media that the 90-minute musical, which concluded its run at London’s Pleasance Theatre on February 16, will next play at this summer’s Edinburgh Fringe, with a subsequent engagement planned for later this year at the Egyptian Theatre in Park City, Utah.

Pureplay Entertainment is ready to play in Nashville.
The film, TV and digital production entity is expanding its reach by confirming the opening of a new Nashville office in partnership with music industry insiders Hannah Martin Eason and Joseph Martin. The pair will work as advisors at the company, which was founded by CEO Dan McClung in 2016. In other Pureplay moves, the company has signed with WME for representation.
“I’ve known Hannah and Joseph since the beginning of their careers in L.A. over a decade ago,” McClung said. “Their work ethic and passion for Nashville stories make them exceptional partners. They have an organic love for country music and a deep understanding of the industry, which is invaluable as we tell stories from this perspective to a wider audience.”
L.A.-based Pureplay’s newest project is Written in the Sand. The film, currently in post-production, was developed out of Pureplay Nashville.
