The news today includes some premiere dates, a renewal, and an announcement of an awards host.
But first, a bit of sad news.
TV's Green Hornet, Van Williams, died at the age of 82.
The short-lived series aired as a companion to Batman in the 1960s. One of the things that made the series memorable was hailed martial artist Bruce Lee playing the manservant, Kato, to Britt Reid, the editor/publisher who masqueraded as the Green Hornet.
Before joining The Green Hornet, Williams played private eyes on Bourbon Street Beat and Surfside 6.
Williams retired from acting altogether in 1982 after guest starring roles in such shows as The Rockford Files and The Streets of San Francisco.
He's survived by his wife of 57 years, Vicki, and three daughters, Nina, Tia and Britt.

Not only is Olivia intense in her pursuit of a rose, she's successful, too: She's the only contestant who has received two pre-rose ceremony roses, she's off-the-charts compatible with Ben and she's already making enemies in the Bachelor mansion.
Here, just a few of the reasons why Olivia is capturing Ben's heart, other girls' hate – and becoming the one to watch this season.
1. She got the First Impression Rose.

If The Bachelor: Women Tell All special taught us anything, it's that Chris Harrison makes a terrible referee.
The special opened with some truly epic squabbling between Britt and Carly – though Jillian also jumped in to defend Britt.
Just when it seemed as if the entire episode would be a series of high-pitched noises that only Whitney's stuffed-animal-humping dog could hear, Harrison eventually got a handle on things and we got to hear from Britt, Kaitlyn, Jade, Ashley S. and, of course, Chris Soules himself.

Official photos from The Bachelorette Season 11 Finale.
After Kaitlyn survived a heart-wrenching rejection by Chris Soules, and then a nerve-wracking night to become the Bachelorette over Britt, she moved forward for a chance at finding love with one of 26 intriguing bachelors. After surviving shocking twists and turns and a journey filled with laughter, tears, love and controversy, Kaitlyn narrowed down the field to two men who despise one another -- Nick and Shawn. Her relationship with Shawn has survived several emotional bombshells, but she is still concerned that his jealous nature will sabotage her connection with him. Meanwhile, her relationship with Nick has been undeniably passionate and intense. But what will happen when their physical attraction fades? In this week's dramatic conclusion, Kaitlyn is absolutely torn between the two men. She loves them and can envision a future with both bachelors, but in the end it's Shawn she chooses, on...

The odds that the 2015 season of The Bachelorette were going to be out of control were evident right from the beginning with the whole Britt Nilsson versus Kaitlyn Bristowe, but we never predicted this one. It felt like it would come down to a coin toss for Kaitlyn Bristowe as she confessed her confused love toward both of her finalists — Nick Viall and Shawn Booth. In the end Kaitlyn professed her exclusive love to Shawn Booth and the two are now engaged. For Nick Viall it was a painful déjà vu and complete blindside. The Chicago software sales … Continue reading →

Make more money! While the next Bachelor for Season 20 of ABC's smash reality franchise The Bachelor still remains unconfirmed, a source tells Us Weekly that both Ben Higgins and Ben Zorn are in the running. The insider tells Us that like Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson's season of The Bachelorette, producers are currently toying with the idea of a dual Bachelor season — and it could involve the two talk, dark, and handsome hunks who happen to share a first name. Semi-finalist Ben H. has already [...]...

Kaitlyn Bristowe is the Bachelorette! She charmed her way into the hearts of the Bachelor Nation – and nearly the Bachelor himself, Chris Soules, on season 19 of The Bachelor. Now Kaitlyn is nearing the end of her televised journey to love.
The Men Tell All ... dun dun Dunnnnnn!
I'm not going to lie, I was Nervous for this. First of all, who has 20 ex-boyfriends? Secondly, who has to go face all of them in one room and talk about it? Especially with the topics I knew would be on the table!
Listening to the guys interact with each other reminded me...

Oh, Bachelor world. Never change. Britt Nilsson and Brady Toops only dated a few weeks before calling it quits—just as their romance was starting to play out on TV on the current season of The Bachelorette. You know those cutesy-wutesy, lovey-dovey Instas they were sending out as the show was airing? Well, turns out they were very much in the Friend Zone as that was happening, and as Bachelorette viewers watched the footage of their many dates (oh who are we kidding, it was clearly one photo shoot!) on the hit ABC series. Sources confirm to E! News that Britt and Brady actually broke up well before Bachelor in Paradise concluded filming, and producers wanted Britt to take part in the...

No more paradise for these two! Bachelor alum Britt Nilsson opened up about her split from boyfriend Brady Toops in a lengthy Instagram post on Friday, July 17. The reality star - who lost The Bachelorette title to Kaitlyn Bristowe this season - revealed that she and Toops actually parted ways a while ago. "Yes, it is true--@bradytoops and I are no longer together. We had a wonderful, sweet, and life-giving relationship that I appreciated, learned from, and thoroughly enjoyed. Brady is one of the most genuine, [...]...

Their relationship may have had a fairy-tale beginning, but former Bachelorette hopeful Britt Nilsson and suitor Brady Toops only dated for a few weeks before she called it quits.
"Everything on paper was perfect," Nilsson tells People exclusively. "But we didn't have that connection I was looking for. That was a hard conclusion."
Says Toops: "What I felt for Britt was true and deep. I'm sad it didn't work out."
The romance between the Los Angeles-based waitress and the musician from Tennessee began when Nilsson, 27, lost the title of Bachelorette to Kaitlyn Bristowe this season. Toops, who says he fell...

Ben Higgins is the next Bachelor. His rose duty should begin in September and start airing on ABC in January 2016. None of this is official yet, but it was basically confirmed by Twitter when Ben H. made his departure this past week on "The Bachelorette." The Internet could not cope with Kaitlyn Bristowe's latest bad call, since Ben was deemed "perfect," and now E! News and Reality Steve have confirmed that Ben is "The Bachelor" for 2016. ABC will announce the news when they feel like it.
Is this good news? If you genuinely like Ben, then no, not really. This is where the adage "If you love someone, set them free" comes into play.
"The Bachelor" franchise has a long history of casting leads that fans initially love, only to see those same fans quickly turn on the leads when they start handing out roses. We are a fickle,...

Well, that was fast. The Bachelorette's Britt Nilsson and Brady Toops have split after less than six months of dating, multiple sources exclusively confirm to E! News. After meeting during the premiere episode of this season, which found Kaitlyn Bristowe being chosen over Britt as the Bachelorette, Brady decided to leave the show to pursue a relationship with her. And once it was revealed that the duo decided to officially become boyfriend and girlfriend in the third episode of the season, they were not shy about sharing their love on social media, posting a bunch of photos on Instagram. ABC had no comment on Britt and Brady's break-up. However, the social media Pda soon...

Rose full of thorns! Britt Nilsson has split from Brady Toops after nearly six months of dating, Us Weekly can confirm. A source tells Us that the two called it quits a while ago. A second adds that the two were never serious. The Bachelor alum and Toops first met earlier this year when Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe vied for the title of Season 11 Bachelorette. A heartbroken Nilsson returned home after the majority of contestants voted for Bristowe, but Toops left the show shortly after to be [...]...

Given the core premise of the The Bachelorette, the amount of suitors who have felt plainly entitled to Kaitlyn Bristowe's affections is pretty shocking.
Last week, Ian tore into Kaitlyn for being a "shallow," "surface-level" person while practically waving his Princeton degree above his head like a flag as a replacement for any real character traits other than "deep." It was obvious that he just felt stung over the fact that Kaitlyn didn't feel as strongly for him as the rest of her suitors, and he reacted by puffing out his chest, insulting her under the guise of "honesty...

What is actually up with the Bachelorette contestants this season?
With each passing episode, a new suitor completely self-destructs. After Ryan M., Kupah and Tony, Monday's episode had former front-runner Ian going completely off the rails over a bruised ego. He also slut-shamed Kaitlyn while going on about all the sex he has and how he's such a great catch. Oh, and he thinks he'd make a great Bachelor. More on that nonsense below.
Also, Joshua had his own Britt Nilsson-style meltdown over Nick's entry into the competition, but he wasn't the only one unimpressed with the newest arrival.

Breaking up is hard to do – but only if you're Clint. If you're Jj or Kaitlyn, it's actually super easy.

After spending the week trash-talking the rest of the contestants and spending more time with his buddy Jj than with Kaitlyn, Clint got the boot and made sure to be aggressively defensive on his way out.
