Born in New York City to Guinean parents, Dramé Kanji Francina is an aspiring cinematographer who hopes to one day become a renowned filmmaker and establish his art in his native city of New York and abroad. With his passion for cinema, he studied Film and Television at Lehman College in the Bronx. This passion drove him to approach directors and cinematographers who had experience in the field in order for him to understand more about film making. Starting off as a production assistant on various film, music video, and photo shoots, to directing and filming his own projects as an independent film maker. He went on to found a film and photo collective called Lotus Park Films in May 2016 with fellow Bronx artists, in the hopes of establishing a crew of young creatives who want to create their vision and tell their stories through their art.
