Because he’s won “The Voice” eight times, Blake Shelton has a lot of different feathers in his cap. Among them is his ability to nurture the budding talents of teenage artists. Among his three artists entering the season 22 finale on Monday and Tuesday night is Brayden Lape, the small town singer from Michigan that was only 15 years old when he auditioned for the show. If Brayden wins, he’d be Team Blake’s third teenager to win and the seventh overall in series history.

Season 16 of “The Voice” recently concluded with Maelyn Jarmon from Team John Legend winning the latest title in the long-running NBC competition series. (Watch our video interview with Maelyn.) Although the songbird from Team John was Gold Derby’s odds-on favorite to win, it was Blake Shelton who coached three of the four finalists including country singers Gyth Rigdon, Dexter Roberts and Andrew Sevener. That brings us to an impressive statistic for Shelton. Not only has he won more titles than any other coach, with six total, but he’s also had more runners-up and finalists as well.

It’s official: There’s a curse on “The Voice” Instant Save.
Ever since this twist was created back in Season 6, no artist that’s been saved by Twitter or brought back via a wild card has ever gone on to win the show. Even more troubling, all of the Instant Save recipients have placed last in their respective finales aside from Britton Buchanan, who defied the odds to place second to Brynn Cartelli in Season 14. This year Andrew Sevener of Team Blake Shelton tried his hardest to break the curse but he, too, ended up placing last in Tuesday’s season finale.

The season 14 winner of “The Voice” Brynn Cartelli returned to perform her new single, “Last Night’s Mascara,” on Tuesday’s results show. Minutes later it was revealed that Chevel Shepherd took the season 15 title. Let’s hope that Brynn, who like Chevel was coached by Kelly Clarkson, has more success than the season 13 champ Chloe Kohanski.
Chloe had returned to “The Voice” to debut her new single “Come This Far” on last spring’s season 14 finale. While she had made it to No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her winner’s song “Wish I Didn’t Love You” the previous December, that second single didn’t even chart. That might be why we have yet to get an album from Chole, the sixth champion for coach Blake Shelton who has been with the show since the start.

Brynn Cartelli won season 14 of “The Voice” on Tuesday by edging out Britton Buchanan in one of the closest votes in the history of the reality competition series. Buchanan, who was coached by one-time winning coach Alicia Keys, had been strongly positioned heading into Tuesday’s finale based on his performances on Monday’s final.
Two of the three songs that Buchanan performed on May 21 made the iTunes top 10, thus qualifying for the vote multiplier. He grabbed the top spot with his original single “Where You Come From.” And his cover of the Young Rascals classic “Good Lovin” took the 10th and final slot. The 14th champion of “The Voice” is set to be crowned on Tuesday, May 22 but according to our latest Gold Derby odds, it may not be the artist most fans were expecting. Team Alicia Keys‘ Britton Buchanan has been the favorite to take home the grand prize throughout most of the season, but things were shaken up during the Tuesday, May 15 live results show. The frontrunner hit a major roadblock when he failed to earn enough votes to yield a Top 3 finish, forcing him to battle it out for the final Instant Save of the season. Since the Instant Save made its debut in Season 6, no artist advancing to the finale by this method has ever won “The Voice.” In fact, they all finished in last place in their finales.

Finally, we've made it! It's been a long road and a whole lot of contestants on The Voice, but we have finally reached the first week of live playoffs and, more importantly, the first round of playoff eliminations. The ranks have now shrunk to 12, and it's a pretty respectable-looking (and sounding) 12, but along with the actual results were two special guests: Michelle Obama and last season's Voice winner Sawyer Fredericks. Totally of the same importance! Obama had filmed a PSA about supporting veterans in honor of this very special Veteran's Day edition of the show, and Fredericks was there to perform his latest single. Yes, his hair looked just as luxurious as...

The first 24 live performances of The Voice season 9 have been delivered. Over two back-to- back evenings, Night 1 and Night 2, and four full hours of entertainment, America watched as the hopefuls sung their hearts out for a shot at becoming entertainment royalty, or, as we call it, The Voice. America has voted through phone and social media, and, more importantly, with their dollars. All that remains is the audit report.
The Live Playoffs Results event will certainly bring heartbreak for some artists and intense relief for others, but it also promises to deliver some fantastic team performances, celebrity appearances, and duets with coaches. Who will be that first guest celebrity? None other than The Voice of season 8, the young Mr. Sawyer Fredericks. Yep, yep, yep, it’s called The Voice, and the voice should be the focus of our attention.
And yet, with 24 singers competing for only 12 slots in the Season 9 finals, shouldn’t a little salty hip action count for a few bonus points in a very close horse race (provided that said moving and grooving doesn’t throw a contestant off pitch)?

That was my thought tonight as Mark Hood, Zach Seabaugh and Nadjah Nicole attempted to do more than bake whole honeyed hams (musically speaking) while standing frozen at the mic stand.

We've made it to The Voice season 8 finale! Joshua Davis, Koryn Hawthorne, Meghan Linsey and Sawyer Fredericks each performed an original song, a new song and a duet with their coach on Monday night and now it's time to announce the winner.
So who will win season 8? While Josh is my personal favorite artist, I would predict that Sawyer's going to win this season. Sawyer has had such a huge following throughout the competition that he's a clear frontrunner. However, Meghan also has a chance to win. She's obviously really talented and has the experience to back her up. While Koryn has a great voice, I don't think she's going to win.
