Evgeniya Rodina
Evgeniya Rodina is a Russian professional tennis player.
She achieved her career-high ranking of No. 67 on 6 May 2019. Rodina who made strong progress up through the world rankings has won 13 ITF singles titles.
Rodina began her career on the ITF Circuit with the assistance of a wildcard into the first round of the main draw of a tournament at Moscow in late August 2004, when she was just fifteen and a half years old, and justified the award by taking a set from up-and-coming fellow Russian star Elena Vesnina, though she lost the match in three.
In March 2008, Rodina qualified for a major tournament in Indian Wells, reaching the third round there. She made her senior Grand Slam debut in May at the French Open, where she played against Maria Sharapova in the first round. 19-year-old Rodina was able to impose a fight on the world's first racket and lost with a total score of 1-6, 6-3, 6-8.
Rodina qualified for Wimbledon 2018 and then made it to the third round where she defeated No. 10 seed Madison Keys. In the fourth round, she lost to Serena Williams 2-6, 2-6.
In March 2019, Rodina teamed with Kristýna Plísková to win the WTA 125 series doubles prize in Indian Wales.
