Rochelle graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media, a comprehensive education in Photography, Video, and Film, and included an internship at Hollywood's Fox Television Studios, Promo Department.
Following graduation, she briefly worked as a Page on In Living Color before transitioning to AME and following its acquisition, All Post. She went on to join Ediflex as a Nonlinear Support Specialist. Following the closure of the company recognized as creating the first non linear edit system, Rochelle transitioned to Encore Non Linear, the AVID rental division for Encore Video. During this exciting time, she provided customized training and on-site support to editors. As an Avid Certified Support Representative and Instructor, she on occasion taught classes at Avid Burbank. Rochelle continued to work across Encore's multiple reorganizations, including Encore Non Linear's merger with Video Symphony (with the two creating Digital Symphony).
Rochelle returned to her native Minnesota to focus on her family and is also where she gained extensive business and non-profit experience. All throughout this time, her media roots beckoned and she returned to the industry for which she is passionate about. She has since worked as a freelancer, including as an editor on independent projects that include short films and documentaries, with the MN Timberwolves (NBA) and the MN Lynx (WNBA), taught emerging filmmakers at FilmNorth (formally MN Independent Film Project), and as a freelance Assistant Editor at Tremendous! Entertainment and Intuitive Content.
