Project Runway is making a big change this season by including models of all sizes, but Heidi Klum says the designers weren’t all thrilled.
“They kind of went like this, ‘Ah?’ ” Klum, 44, tells Entertainment Tonight, while making a displeased face. “A lot of them actually weren’t too happy about it.”
The supermodel and host points out that the designers need to be realistic about who they’re dressing.

“Project Runway” host Tim Gunn slammed season 14 winner Ashley Nell Tipton’s clothes as “hideous,” and he wouldn’t “dream of letting any woman wear them.” “I’ve never seen such hideous clothes in my life: bare midriffs; skirts over crinoline, which give the clothes, and the wearer, more volume; see-through skirts that reveal panties; pastels, which tend to make the wearer look juvenile; and large-scale floral embellishments that shout ‘prom,'” he wrote in a column for the Washington Post. Gunn wrote the column chastising American designers for focusing too much attention on skinny women, while noting that his own show’s first winner.

Project Runway's Ashley Nell Tipton made history by putting on the show's first plus-size finale collection, and then went on to be the first plus-size designer to win the entire competition. The designer - who covers the December issue of Skorch magazine - says the overall response to her boundary-breaking win has been positive. "It's nice to see how much the mainstream fashion community has been so accepting of it," Tipton, 24, told the magazine. "It's very exciting to see that folks finally want to make plus-size mainstream." The San Diego, California, native hopes her upcoming collection will revolutionize the world of plus-size fashion.

Whether Tim Gunn likes it or not, "Project Runway" Season 14 is not quite done. Tonight (Thursday, November 12) at 8 p.m., we'll see the reunion special, and hopefully Tim and Swapnil can come to some kind of detente. (And hopefully Swapnil, Kelly, and Edmond all return for "Project Runway All Stars" in 2016.) We didn't mind Season 14 as much as Tim, who "hated" it. Heidi Klum had strong words about the season, too, although she said they had a great winner in Ashley Nell Tipton.
But Tim is raving about the show that comes on after the reunion, which is "Project Runway Junior." The Season 14 finale was jam-packed with ads for the younger version of PR, and it sounds like Tim didn't just love it because the teens are adorable. He was "disarmed" by their genuine talent, and it was a great palate cleanser for him after the negativity of PR14.

Newly crowned Project Runway season 14 winner Ashley Nell Tipton has some words for Tim Gunn following his declaration that he "hated" the most recent season because most of its designers "weren't working up to their potential." "It kind of hurts to hear that he doesn't think that we brought it," the 24-year-old San Diego, Calif. native tells E! News Sibley Scoles. "Because at the end of the day we're listening to him and we're listening to the judges, so somewhere along there someone's not doing their job." But Tipton won’t have people saying she’s undeserving. “People think the only reason I won is because I had a plus-size collection,” Tipton told TheWrap Friday. “But we also have to think, at the end of the day, my collection was cohesive.

"Project Runway," you can't fool us! At the end of last night's Season 14, Episode 12, "Roll Out the Red Carpet," Tim Gunn did not fold his hands in compassion and send Edmond Newton to the workroom to clean up his space. So Tim is going to use his save on Edmond, right, sending four designers to Fashion Week? Please?
The October 22 episode ended with Edmond as the shocking elimination -- especially shocking since he'd been one of the frontrunners from Week 1, he was never in the bottom before last night, and he took the risks that he was asked to take in this final red carpet challenge before Fashion Week.
Candice Cuoco was sent through even though the judges acknowledged she played it safe with that black dress and everyone said this was not the week to play it safe. Edmond experimented with color and really went wild with those scissors.
