Following Quantum Leap’s cancellation after two seasons, Jeff Bader, President of Program Planning Strategy at NBCUniversal Entertainment, has spoken up about why the show didn’t move to Peacock like it’s network sibling Law & Order: Organized Crime.
“Organized Crime is a Very successful show; this isn’t a show that was on the bubble,” Bader tells TVLine. “It’s a show that works across the board, and it’s very, very strong on streaming. [Moving Season 5 to Peacock] is a win-win for us — 80% of its viewing isn’t in the time period where we schedule it, it’s delayed on Peacock, so...

NBC's new Quantum Leap has a legacy of adventurous heroism and well-intentioned shenanigans to live up to as the continuation of the 1990s hit series starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell.
Premiering on Monday, September 19, it stars Raymond Lee as the time-traveling physicist, Dr. Ben Song, who takes his machine for a spin and loses his memory and himself in the past.
This time around, there's no cigar-chomping Al to crack jokes and give advice to the wandering doctor.
Caitlin Bassett, as Addison Augustine, plays the hologram guide and provides exposition to both Ben and the audience.
"Your name is Dr. Ben Song. You're from the year 2022. You're the lead physicist on a top-secret project called Quantum Leap. You're a time traveler."
A far cry from the gruff and world-weary Al, Addison has more than a working relationship with Ben, a fact that Leap amnesia has wiped from his memory.

Actor Scott Bakula says “significant conversations” are happening about the possibility of a reboot of his early ’90s sci-fi series Quantum Leap, though whatever talks are happening seem to be in the very early stages.
On the podcast Bob Saget’s Here For You yesterday, guest Bakula suggested that the 1989-93 NBC fantasy series – in which his character time-hopped through various eras by “leaping” into the bodies of other people – could see a new day yet again, though fans probably shouldn’t expect anything too soon.
Bakula told Saget, “There are very significant conversations about it right now going on. I don’t know what it would be. I don’t know who would have it. The rights were a mess for years. I don’t know if they’re even sorted out now. That’s always been the biggest complication.”
In the series, Bakula played physicist and inadvertent time-traveler Dr.

When Quantum Leap broadcast its series finale in 1993, it didn’t wrap the storyline with the kind of “happily ever after” closure people had been used to seeing. When the credits rolled for the final time, Dr. Sam Beckett was still out there in the universe, seemingly fated for a lifetime of leaping as a […]

Based on the 2012 novel by David Levithan, Every Day serves up an intriguing blend of science-fiction fantasy and Ya romance. The film’s unusual conceit comes with a side order of problematic plot points, but the script and the performances ensure that its positive central message wins out.
Directed by Michael Sucsy, the film centres on a spirit known only as “A”, who wakes up every day in a different body, a bit like Sam Beckett in TV’s Quantum Leap. The bodies are always the spirit’s age (around 16) and always within the same geographical area, and A is careful not to meddle too much in the lives of each person he inhabits.
